Hello ! I thought a lijst of the DPs and what I like/dislike about them would be a good way to introduce myself to this club, so here it is ! Making this list, I was surprised at how difficult it was. I have a few princesses I dislike, but I really love most of them and it was hard to class them all. Some of them seem too low when I look at their rank, but then when I actually try to put them higher I realize I love the ones above just as much !

N°11: ARIEL

One of the only two princesses I actually dislike. She's a spoiled child who only thinks of herself, which would be fine if it was supposed to be a character flaw she'd eventually overcome, but no, she stays that way until the end of the movie. Out of all the Disney princesses, she's easily the one who's had it the easiest, and yet she's the one who complains the most ! It also doesn't help that I can't relate to any of her dreams - living amongst the humans, making her prince fall in love with her, etc.

N°10: JASMINE

As a kid, I hated Jasmine. I found her annoying, spoiled, bratty. Looking back on it I was probably a little too harsh on her, and I wouldn't call her any of those names anymore - well, except for spoiled I guess - but I still can't bring myself to like her. She spends most of her screentime complaining when she's one of the luckiest people in the movie ! I even wanted to put jasmijn last when I first made this list, but as I was writing it I realized that Jasmine, unlike Ariel, does grow a little throughout the movie - meeting Aladdin and going in the streets of Agrabah make her realize how her people are treated, and that's something I can respect. jasmijn also has an arranged marriage to deal with, and I can sympathize with her desire to marry for love and not have to settle for a man who thinks of her as a tool to have babies and a crown.

N°09: AURORA

This one I don't dislike, but I can't say I like her either. She's just... there. She's not really the protagonist of the movie - the ones who do everything are the fairies - and she has very little screentime. The only things that really happen to her are meeting her prince and touching that needle, but considering she's hypnotized during that scene I can't blame her for that. She seems kind enough and the way she interacts with her aunts makes me think she has a bit of a teasing streak, but that's not enough to make her stand out to me. I find Aurora simply boring, just like her movie.

N°08: POCAHONTAS

This one is a princess I like ! Pocahontas is such a good person, I like how free-spirited and independent she is. As a child I was a bit soured on her because of Pocahontas 2 which I really disliked, but now I just pretend that movie doesn't exist. It's easy enough, I don't think I've ever met a single person who liked it - I'm sure they exist though. Anyway, Pocahontas is a good person and a good character, with both great serious moments and funny ones. I don't relate a lot to her - I don't have a lot in common with her and I don't think I could have befriended John Smith, much less fallen in love with him - which I guess explains how low she is in this list.

N°07: SNOW WHITE

The very first DP is a sweetheart, and I love her for that. She's so young and faces such terrible things, but she still manages to keep her head up. If I was fourteen and my stepmother wanted to kill me, I'm sure I could never be as cheerful and positive Snow White manages to be. Hats off to you, Snow !

N°06: MERIDA

As weird as that sounds, what I love the most about Merida and what finally made me decide to put her above Snow White are her flaws. I love seeing characters grow throughout a story, and as much as I love them, many of the DPs have very little character development, since they're already close to perfect at the beginning of their movies. Merida turning her mother into a beer is terrible, of course, but she ends up realising how wrong she was and tries her best to save her mother, and that's what matters the most to me. I also think Brave dealt with the arranged marriage problem much better than Aladdin, which definitely helps me like her better than jasmijn even though they objectively have a lot in common, but I guess that's a subject for another article. Anyway, Merida's a great character and I enjoy so many aspects of her. Even her animatie is really good: the way she walks and holds herself is so tomboyish and unlike the other princesses I can't help but find it endearing. I think out of all the DPs, she's the most realistic one.

N°05: CINDERELLA

If u open a dictionary and look up 'resilience', there's a picture of Cinderella right there. Well, ok, there isn't but there should be. Seriously, how can one girl be so strong? I have nothing but admiration for Cinderella. It doesn't help that she was my favourite DP as a kid, the one I thought was the most beautiful and the one I wanted to be like. I might be a bit biased because of nostalgia, but I have absolutely no complaints about Cinderella. I think that she's the only one in this lijst I don't have anything bad to say about - maybe Mulan too, but I'm sure I could think of something if I really tried to. Cinderella's kind and patient, yes, but she's also very dignified and has a sarcastic sense of humor I really enjoy.

N°04: TIANA

I saw The Princess and the Frog a few years ago, and while I thought the movie was so-so, I completely fell in love with Tiana. She's so different from the other princesses, I love her background and how it shaped her into this hard-working, no-nonsense woman. It's probably harder for young children to relate to Tiana, but I saw the movie as an adult and thought I had a lot of things in common with her. Tiana's kind but not overly sweet, she's grounded but she still has a dream she fights for. Her bond with her mother and her love for her father are both very touching.

N°03: BELLE

The most relatable of all, at least for me. The only thing I dislike about her was that time she purposely went into the West Wing - how stupid was that ? Other than that, I love absolutely everything about Belle. I love her when she openly mocks Gaston, I love her when she's gushing about her books, and of course I love her when she stands up for herself of for her father. Even her relationship with the Beast was well-done - she only started to like him when he became a better person, which I think is an important lesson to teach to young girls.

N°02: MULAN

Who doesn't love Mulan ? She manages to combine what people love about the older princesses - the kindness, the selflessness and the dutifulness - AND the newer - actively trying to make your situation better, standing up yourself and being relatable rather than an ideal of perfection and feminity. Mulan goes through a lot during the movie, starting as a rather lazy and lost girl and ending as a strong, self-confident woman. She's also very touching: the scene with her father at the end of the movie never fails to bring me to tears.

N°01: RAPUNZEL

So here we are, my favourite princess. To start off with the negative points, she's not as well-developed as Mulan, I feel closer to Belle of Tiana than to her, and she's nowhere near as realistic as Merida - in fact, she's one of the least realistic DPs imo. So, why do I love her so much? For many, many reasons. For one thing, I love her journey during the movie - from the moment she believes Flynn Rider is an evil man after her hair until she realizes everything she was taught door Gothel was untrue. Her relationship with Gothel is also part of what makes me root for Rapunzel so much: there's something really pleasing about seeing an abuse victim who realises how badly her abuser treated her and standing up to her. I'm someone who has a soft spot for cutesy characters which also adds to my love for Rapunzel. She also has a lot of funny moments, and her beautiful appearance doesn't hurt. I also love how she always sees the good things around her: trying to find things to do in her tower, befriending the people in the tavern... As far as I'm concerned Rapunzel's perfect - perhaps too perfect actually, but that's part of the DP's charm.

So, this is it ! All of this is only my opinion of course, and I don't mind criticism of discussion if there's something I zei u really disagree with. In any case, I hope u enjoyed reading this lijst !
This is basically Elsa's character in a nutshell.I can relate to those words easily.

Elsa is without a doubt my favoriete Disney character ever because she's the one I related the most out of all the Disney characters out there.Let's get into meer detail why I love her so much, shall we ;):

Originally,I didn't love Elsa that much,I thought she was okay and felt neutral about her. That is until I re-watched the movie 2 months geleden and from that dag on,I realized just how much I have in common with her.
It was like I was seeing myself in her,for me that meant so much, and I'm thankful for that.
u see,my mom told me to hold back my emotions at school because I have big anger issues...

For my first article, I decided to start with a light, fluffy topic! Kidding, of course, but I think this is a rather crucial topic that needs to be discussed. Something to keep in mind before reading this article, I'm a fan of Frozen, I'm a fan of the Disney Princesses, and I'm without a doubt a fan of Disney! u can be a fan of something and still criticize it (Spoiler alert for the article? Ah well..) Anyway, onto the article!

First things first let's discuss the racial makeup of Frozen's setting. Oh WAIT, we can't because Frozen takes place in a fictional land! That's something that seems...

Why don't they sell princess dresses like these? I'd buy the heck out of these!

Since it's Veteran's Day, I thought I'd use some rare time off to write an article. The only artikel idea I could think of that wouldn't take all dag to research and explore would be a lijst of princess "peasant" dresses rated in order from the ones I like least to the one I'm seriously considering commissioning my Ren Faire vrienden to sew for me.

Most people seem to love the princesses' fancy, sparkly, poofy ballgowns, of their iconic princess dresses. I personally was never a fan. I'm a real stickler for comfort and practicality. Ballgowns tend to be made with a material I find uncomfortable...

I'm slightly obsessed with eyes. I love drawing them, I love looking at them, and when I look at the beauty of a person, princess of not, the eyes play a big part in their attractiveness. So I decided to make an artikel about my favoriete Disney Princess eyes. Honestly, they all have gorgeous eyes, so this will be difficult. But, I shall try my hardest. Oh yeah, Anna and Elsa are included.

13. Cinderella
Her eyes are a really pretty color. They are an amazing shade of blue, and... well, that's about all I like about them. The shape of them is really weird, and in a lot of shots, they are just...
