Warning: Honestly this artikel is very harsh and long, and u shouldn't take anything I say personally, I'm a very blunt, honest person, and sometimes I feel people should have those standards too, I can't understand people who are too nice.
Not all my stress comes from fanpop. I have a lot of stress in real life too now, and I am a huge control freak, so I think I FINALLY reached my breaking point. Now I need to focus on my school work and not the stupid people around me in real life, and fanpop is a distraction as well.
I apologize for what I wrote, I know it's harsh but it's what I feel, but I think maybe I expect too much from u guys. What I wrote below, I know is too demanding and mean, so don't take it personally, but I can't lie about how I feel. Everything adds up. :)
I think tonight will be my last night on here for I don't know how long, it could be 2 days, it could be 3 months, who knows. All I know is I need a break. When I joined 2 years ago, it was a small community of about 8 of us, who weren't just disney fangirls (which I think make up a lot of you), but actual objective users who don't just worship everything about disney. We had intellectual conversations, and I was one of the younger users so we didn't have random freak outs of go off on tangents. Now I feel like all the picks have been done, all the artikels are self absorbed (I mean favoriete disney princess is okay and interesting but some artikels are so unnecessary), and honestly no one, including myself, is bringing anything new of creative to the table, and checking this site doesn't bring the same joy to me it used to. Part of the problem are some of the users (not all, believe me), who bring nothing new, contribute nothing, only leave stupid commentaren and clearly haven't matured enough to have a real opinion. I'm also tired of people commenting artikels and saying "wow, great article!" instead of saying "why is such and such so high? I disagree because_______". Again, I'm not saying anyone. I'm also tired of the countdowns for EVERY LITTLE THING, like "Countdown: Which Princess would look best in roze socks" , honestly some are so stupid and useless. I'm tired of all the really DUMB users like vertika (lol), and we have like 10 users like that, I understand that there are always going to be dumb people but I need a break. Someone told me I outgrew this site but I disagree, I didn't outgrow this site, just some of the people on it. I feel that most people don't have anything REALLY intellectual to add, and that's okay because most of u are younger than me (all though being younger doesn't always mean you're like that, cromulanfav being a prime example), but no one seems to want to debate of have discussions, like we used to when I first joined. And I'm tired of people apologizing for their opinions. Like, if I write "I love Snow White" in an article, someone will write "Sorry, I don't like Snow White that much, she annoys me, sorry." Instead of APOLOGIZING for having a different opinion than me, which u should NEVER apologize for, write WHY u like Snow White less, and don't get offended when I argue with you. I'm not targeting this toward anyone at all, but a majority of users. And I hate that if I wrote an artikel about my bravest princesses and put Snow White as my number 3, people would just say things like "It's great to see Snow White so high!" Instead of saying "WHY THE HELL IS SNOW WHITE SO HIGH?" Everyone now just seems afraid/too nice to say what they really mean, which is why this site is getting so dull. And I'm tired of the self-absorbed picks as well. This site has just become stale and uninteresting, and I think I partly feel responsible. Since people see me as the most main and most active user, I think sometimes they depend on me to make the site interesting, in fact I know some do because it's been zei and therefore don't contribute anything themselves. I really don't mean to sound arrogant of like I'm the only user that contributes creative things because it's not true, but only a couple others do it as actively as I do. AND, door THE WAY, a user which will be named anonymous just told me as I was writing this article. if I leave they'll leave to because they'll have nothing to do when I'm gone. And she's like the fourth to tell me this. Don't u think it's a problem when ONE user is the one making the site interesting, taking so much responsibility for this that others will leave if they leave? I mean come on! That's sort of sad! IT SHOULD BE A GROUP EFFORT! It shouldn't be such a big deal if one user leaves!! Oh, it also really annoys me when people post stupid picks/articles/quiz questions/forums and they're excuse is "because I was bored". SO MANY PEOPLE DO THIS. Don't annoy the rest of us with stupid posts just because u have nothing to do with your life. There are so many things to do to cure boredom if u JUST GET CREATIVE. Then I honestly realize I have high standards for the creativity on this site, and there's really nothing new to add, and people don't make the effort anyway. If I leave for awhile, maybe that will force people to start really contributing, u know? This whole artikel makes me feel a little silly because it is just an internet site, but then again it's not, because I love the disney princesses and disney, it's a true passion, and I don't have many passions, so it's really important to me. I think it's up to u guys now to help make the site meer interesting, do some research, I think I'm not challenged anymore on this site, and like I said, it doesn't give me joy anymore.
Anyway, I will still MAYBE check this site and look at my updates, but I won't commentaar of go on chat for awhile, but if there is an absolute EMERGENCY of a real problem u can't solve on here u can message me, I'll still be checking those. I don't see why u can't solve anything without me.
Again, it makes me feel stupid b/c this is just a site, but I think most of u will agree when I say it's really not. In the beginning this site was a great place to express my love for disney princesses, now it's making me LOSE my love for disney princesses and disney, and a site shouldn't do that to you, because disney is the one thing that makes me feel better no matter what.
*sigh* anyway, that's my rant, I'm sure I forgot things, but u have to admit this site has gotten dull and I think it's because people have gotten lazy and uncreative, including myself. And maybe it's demanding of me to ask people to contribute more, because I contribute a lot, maybe too much, and I'm not asking people to contribute as much as I do because I realize that's a shitload, but then again if you're as big a disney princess fan as u claim to be.....:/ I dont know. I don't want to come across as demanding and bossy. I'm not, I just....I don't know, the main thing is that the site doesn' t make me happy anymore, and maybe I shouldn't have so much invested in it, I realize part of the fault is mine, definitely not all yours.
