The artikel is not mine I only used it cause everyone has always wrote artikels aganist Twilight how about Harry Potter now
--------------------------------------------------
I finished reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows a couple of days back. In my view, the book is much meer tightly written than the last two books. And that itself is a relief. Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley are much better etched out in Deathly Hallows, and there are quite a bit of surprises, disappointments, revelations.

But when someone asked me today what I thought about it, I replied, “Decent.”

Why just decent?

The book is fantasy, and just like in the case of science fiction books, fantasy boeken attempt to create a separate universe – which is very similar to ours, but with certain critical elements that operate differently. And these worlds have their their own logic, which should be consistent. The fantasy, of sci-fi, itself is an exception – and their cannot be exceptions within exceptions. Rowling sometimes fails in creating a consistent fantasy universe and the rules door which the universe works are often ad-hoc. (By the way, the Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows films are gonan be in 3D )

For example, there is the spell Accio - it brings the object u demand to you. Accio bezem brings u your broom. But this spell has been such a problem – if it works as advertised, u should be able to grab anything from anywhere. So Rowling had to introduce counter-spells, which would negate the effect of this one. So there are things that cannot be accio-ed.

Expelliarmus – One of the first spells taught to the novice wizard and witch. Almost everyone in the Harry Potter series makes liberal use of this. Unlike Accio, this always works. So even a Draco Malfoy can disarm Dumbledore – the only wizard who even Lord Voldemort fears. Is this really likely? It is a spell a kid can do – any serious wizard worth his spells should be automatically protected against this even in his sleep. With such a handy spell around, and in the middle of a massive fight like in the Central Hall of Hogwarts, there would be wizards expelliarmusing left, right and center – and no one manages to get strip Lord Voldemort of his wand! Why? In the book, there is no mention of a counter-spell against Expelliarmus. A man can operate only in 360 degrees where he is standing, and someone is bound to hit u with an Expelliarmus of an Avada Kedavra. However, no one manages to do this, even in the heat of the battle. Not even when their lives are in danger of Voldemort Avada-ing you. Why? Don’t tell me everyone wants to be a saint even when fighting Voldemort for their lives.

And then the curious direction-specificity of the spells. Often, people jump out of the way of a spell. Come on, we have read magical boeken before – and we have read Mandrake the magician too. There was never any mention, anywhere, that when a curse comes towards u in its red-or-green coloured glory (why are curses / spells coloured?) u just had to dance your way out of its way. Spells were never like that! But Mandrake andhis enemies used to hit people in the face with a mental stempel, punch – and that was direction-specific. Point your hand at the enemy, and Pow! And sometimes the enemy would save himself door jumping out of the way. So Rowling’s spells are like Mandrake’s powers.

Then, there are the idiocies of the u Know Who. Arrogance of not, no evil man worth his dark soul would confirm, doubly, that the enemy u have been tracking is indeed dead. u know, really, really check. Send a couple meer spells for good measure. Yea, sure, James Bond villains used to be quite careless about leaving Bond to his death. Voldemort seems to be in the same class.

And then in jubilation, when Harry is pretending to be dead, Voldemort uses the Cruciatus curse on him and Harry rises in the air like a rag doll. Then Voldemort drops him on the ground. Curiously, the evil wizard drops him on the ground gently – he doesn’t make Harry fall on his head and break his neck for good measure, break an arm of a leg – nothing! Have u ever fallen on your back from a height of 6 feet? Harry manages to keep his dead-body act so easily – it happens only in Bollywood movies.

And there is the whole monologue door Harry about how he is the true master of the Elder Wand and all that. True, Harry has a point. Because he disarmed Draco, the Elder Wand, which Voldemort now possesses actually considers harry its master. Assume that this is true. How can Harry be so sure? Dumbledore did not tell him that. Olliwander did not tell him that. Harry is no expert in wandlore. How did he figure it out? How did this clueless nitwit suddenly work it all out door himself?

Okay, say he worked it out. How can he be so sure? He can’t be. It is a theory. It may be wrong. Harry’s confidence may be bravado, but nothing indicates that. It is just another theory – and Rowling wants it to be true to she can make Voldemort lose. Sorry, not convincing enough!

There is more. The Elder Wand belongs to whoever defeats its current master. So, it was Draco who is the real owner of the Elder wand the moment he disarms Dumbledore. Fine. But when Harry takes Draco’s wand, that is Draco’s normal wand which he takes. He has just taken a regular wand. So if a wizard takes any wand that belongs to the owner of the Elder wand, the wizard is considered defeated, and Elder Wand switches loyalties? Sorry, Rowling has not thought this through well enough.

And then there is the curious case of Grendelwald. Seems he did not defeat of disarm Gregorovich. He stal it first, waited at the window, and then hit Gregorovich with a stunning spell. That will do? Steal and attack, not attack and own?

And the Deathly Hallows themselves. Rowling has, again and again, established that Voldemort’s knowledge of the history of wizardry is astounding. His skill is super-super, and so is his knowledge. But he has never heard about the Deathly Hallows. Seems it is a story which every boy knows, but not poor Tom Riddle! Okay, poor unfortunate orphan that he was, no one may have taught him that. But it is still quite an unlikely chance.

So u have spells that hit u only if u are in their way, u have Accio that doesn’t work sometimes, u have Expelliarmus that works every time, u have dumbo Harry suddenly turning into Harry Potter Poirot and Harry Potter 007, u have Voldemort who does not even now how to bevestig if his enemy is truly dead and crucios him nice and gentle…

Sure we can all come up with ways in which it all might make sense. But a book SHOULD make sense door itself. The world should work. The world created door Rowling is ad-hoc.

But yeah, suspend your disbelief and enjoy reading it. It is definitely an entertaining read. Just don’t go around saying “Rowling is King” and all that.

Ok, well I'm going to be perfectly respectful in this artikel because I don't want to make anyone mad, I just want to make a point. If u agree of disagree with it, that's up to you. Please don't be rude inthe commentaar section, and give reasons for opinions. Thanks!

Now I can start. May I just start door saying that I am on the Harry Potter side (with all due respect to Twilight fans)

I've noticed that one of the things Twilight fans say is that Bella is a meer relatable character than Harry. I think that that is a good point because technically, u can be a normal teenager who goes to school...

Some people (not necessarily Americans) have admitted having trouble with the British words in Harry Potter. To solve this problem, I give you...An Americans Guide to British words!

1) Prat
Someone who is described as being dumb of self centered. Usually acts against logic.
e.x. Jeez, Roldolfo is such a prat!

2) Git
Basically, a jerk. Shallow and/or childish.
e.x. Look at that git, strutting around like he owns the place!

3) Err...
The British equivalent of umm...
e.x. "Errr.... is it 42?"

4) Barmy
Insane/Crazy.
e.x. That old mans gone barmy!

5.) Blast
Equivalent to "Dang!"
e.x. Blast! Some git's taken...

Twihards of Rabid fans (thats obsessive Twilight fans, all of you): Don't read this. I don't want to get mauled of drowned.
I apologize for any spelling of grammar errors.
Don't get me wrong- I like Twilight just fine. However, many parts of it really annoyed me. Here are my reasons why I liked Harry Potter better.

1. Characters.
Lets compare:
Lead female role in HP: Hermione Granger. Flaws: a bit nerdy, Know-it-all, and Bossy. Good traits: Stood up for herself (as well as think for herself), worked against racism (for house-elves), was loyal to Harry at all times, and didn't try to kill herself...

I Speedy Gonzalez did not write this I merely copied and pasted it. The original may be found link.

I got Breaking Dawn on the dag that it came out and was hoping that Meyer would somehow redeem the steadily deteriorating quality of the Twilight series. What a huge disappointment. I was even meer disappointed when I found out how Meyer was responding to the criticism towards it. Then I discovered that she was writing Midnight Sun. I looked vooruit, voorwaarts to that because, even though all of the boeken suck, they are a guilty pleasure and Twilight was the best of all of them. Then she stopped writing...

Now to anyone of the teensy-beensy minority that has never heard of Twilight's male protagonist, Edward Cullen, he supposedly a vampire that falls in deep "love" with a human girl named Bella.

Now I must object to this beschrijving of the Edward and Bella (Edella of Bedward, lol). While the relationship is described as being true love, I personally think that the relationship is any BUT deep, true love. It is, in my, along with many other fanpoppers, opinion that this relationship is extraordinarily unhealthy and codependent, and that Edward's supposed "love" is obsessive love.

Obsessive love:...

Today, I read a post from "youknowit101" on "1000 Reason why Twilight is better than harry Potter", and it completley gave me seconde thoughts about this whole thing between the rival series. According to this guy, he is very ashamed at the HP fans for attacking the Twilight fans and how immature they are, and to be honest, I now couldn't agree more. He's right, HP fans, we are the immature ones, not the Twilighters. We Potterheads are taking HP for granted and using it to rub it in other people's faces.

Now I see why Twilight fans barley respond to the debates and articles, and it's because...

Ah, yes, Stephenie Meyer, auteur of the Twilight series. My opinion of her, from the way that she has presented herself to the public in interviews and such, is that she is a whiny, self absorbed woman with the mind of a 13 jaar old. She can't deal with criticism because it hurts her delicate little feelings, and believes that she is an amazing writer and that her story and characters are somehow superior to those seen in the works of people such as Jane Austen and William Shakespeare. Here's one statement that shows that...

Okay, so a lot of people have been asking that I put meer debate stuff and reasons why I think Twilight is better. Now that we're all vrienden and don't hate eachother anymore, I hope we can all have a reasonable debate.

But before I start, I want to say that I don't compleatley hate Harry Potter anymore. I saw the Deathly Hallows today, my friend is somewhat of a fan, and wanted to see it. I reluctaintly went with her, and it actually wasn't that bad. u see, I read the first-fourth Harry Potter books, and read most of the seventh. The Deathly Hallows movie was much better than the book in...

Hello everyone!

I'm planning on writing a letter to Stephenie Meyer regarding the Twilight series. I wanted to address all the points many people do not like in the series. The letter is going to be friendly and straight-forward. I wanted to hear what everyone would want me to include. These are a few of the topics I am going to be including:

- Anti-feminism
- Abusive relationship
- Unhealthy obsession
- Lust does not equal love
- Bella is horribly rude to her vrienden (not valued friendships)

These are just a few. Please add anything and if there is something specific you'd like me to add.

I'll be working on this letter and posting on Sunday on Fanpop, so I can add anything else and have your approval and then I will send it to her.
I understand that Seth probably won't let it get to her, but it's worth a shot and I will post his reply (assuming he does reply.)

Thank you! :)

I wrote this a while geleden for my English class. We had to write about something we felt strongly about, and I feel very strongly about this, so...

Many people think that I would be an avid Twilight lover and a hater of the Harry Potter boeken after their first impression. What they see may seem to point to that: I’m a fifteen jaar old girl who devours books, is a self-proclaimed hopeless romantic, loves all things vampire related, and I wear a ton of black. In reality, this couldn’t be far from the truth. It is actually the complete opposite. I absolutely despise anything Twilight related...

Today, on the 17th of October, the court session for the famous "Meyer Case" was initiated. Stephenie Meyer, founder of Twilight, inc., the billion-dollar advertising company, was arrested on several charges, including: allegations of fraud charged door worldwide companies Feminism, inc., 3D pwns 2D, and Literature n Books; the murder of various brain cells; abuse and rape of thesarus,...
