I used to, but then everyone thought it would be a good idea to call me a vampire as an insult and constantly made fun of me door calling me that.
Then I kind of stopped liking them after that. e.e

I LOVE vampires and most mythical creatures. I am a huge buff but I dislike Twilight vampires honestly.

Twilight ruined vampires for me, vampires are NOT freakin girly sparkling fairy princesses, they're blood thirsty creatures of the night that should be feared door all~

I only like the sadistic, blood-sucking ones. I like classic vampires and some of the vampires from the Vampire Diaries.

First of all: Vampires can't be judged door Twilight. Twilight was written specifically to attract teenage girls. Stephenie Meyer isn't going around claiming that what she wrote is factual. It's purely entertainment for young girls. THUS they should not be included in conversations about vampires. People who bring them up in topics like this are just looking for an excuse to bitch.
Second: The vraag is "Who likes vampires?" It's not "What do u think of vampires?" So, if u don't like vampires, u really shouldn't be posting on this particular discussion since it's completely irrelevant to the vraag that's being asked.
That being said: I am fascinated door vampires and have spent actual time researching them and studying about them. They're meer than just blood-sucking monsters. They're way deeper than us. They are not bound door human limits (ie. ethics, religion, humanity, greed, etc...). They see things differently than we do. Everything is different for them. Of course, u should fear them because they will not think twice about draining you. But they're interaction with each other is what makes me interested in them. They love deeper than we do and they mate forever. They're loyal to their kind and wouldn't kill each other for selfish reasons. If vampires were humans, they'd have meer humanity towards each other than we do. Vampires feed off humans because it's their instinct. But, they're not killers. They're not even necessarily evil. We only think they are because they kill humans. But that's how they survive. That's like saying human are evil because we kill cows, pigs and chickens to eat. It's just how the food chain works. Vampires are FAR superior to humans. But, of course, humans think they're superior to everything (even to other humans who are in a lower class), so of course anything that threatens them are evil of monstrous.
Those of u saying vampires are overrated don't know anything about them except what u see on tv and in movies. And you're most likely just sick of all the hype about vampires that has been caused door Twilight. Let's keep Twilight and vampires in separate categories and not include them in the same discussions.
