‘I never knew how to live until I died.’ Famous last words or famous first? Well it sounds like the second for Kathy Bates’ Iris.

covered all basis this week — from school violence to cross dressing, and everything in between. But let’s just say, if you aren’t good with blood, this isn’t a good one to watch.

New vampire Alex (Chloe Sevigny) proved it’s not so smart to be a 

and a bloodsucker. She actually turned one of her patients, who then went on a killing spree at his school — and turned a ton of kids to vampires, too. When the police arrived, all the kids said the same thing: it was a man with a mask over his face. Well, at least she could see her son now — but had to obey the rule: care for the children better than the last one did.

Meanwhile, her husband Det. Lowe (Wes Bentley) got fired after trying to explain that Devil’s Night dinner to his bosses — and they naturally, assumed he was crazy. And maybe he was.He hooked up with Sally (Sarah Paulson) and then had no memory of it.

However, the real story of the night was the connection of Iris and Liz Taylor.

Donovan (Matt Bomer) realized that his mother Iris (Kathy Bates) could be the inside eyes Ramona (Angela Bassett) wanted — but could she do it? When she went back to the hotel, she had a break down after meeting a new, annoying guest, Justin (Darren Criss). So, Liz Taylor (Denis O’Hare) inspired her by revealing her secrets — he was married but always felt like a woman so on a business trip staying at Hotel Cortez, he got caught cross-dressing and The Countess helped him realize he was beautiful, and renamed Nick, Liz Taylor. And Nick never went home.

Iris was so inspired she went and killed Justin. She then told Liz, “I never knew how to live until I died.” We have to say — the story was
