It doesnt have any symbolism. of also. thats what Tsugumi Ohba thinked at book 13 how to read. Takashi Obata thought that a appel, apple was a symbol for Death Note but thats not what in Tsugumis mind when she writed that. she just wanted ryuk to eat something that suits Ryuks mouth. XC
