Is Blue Exorcist a good anime and what's it about? I'm thinking of watching it soon

Yes it is. It's about the son of Satan's powers awakening and him trying to get used to them and become an exorcist to "kick Satan's ass" while simontaniously being under pressure of the threat of the True kruis Order of exorcists trying to execute him for being the spawn of Satan. It's very interesting. If u want to follow the established canon, when u watch the first season, u should skip episodes 17+, since that's an anime only arc due to Kazue Kato not writing for a while. And then u can carry on with the seconde season which follows the Impure King arc of the manga.

It's Action/Supernatural/Comedy for the most part. And my all time favorte character, Mephisto Pheles, is from that series. Most of the characters actually have really interesting personalities compared to most shounen anime and the side characters do get the spotlight a lot meer times than it just being focused on the main character. I'd definately recommend u watch it but I could just be a bit biased. :v

If it's a character originally from something else that got turned into an anime then that's fine because it still means Komaeda's an anime character
