Thats just one reason. Edward is abusive. Bella only cares about Edwars looks. Bella seys a bad exsample for teens by getting pregnet. Bella always needs Jacob or Edward to come to her rescue. I could continue but Im sure its been herad before.
I mean, the whole vampires sparkling thing is ridiculous, but I do give the author a little props because she atleast *tried* to give something different to the vampires we know.
But yeah, there a plenty of reasons I don't like Twilight..
I've never met someone who dislikes and/or even goes as far as to express hatred towards Twilight who only had this for a reason. I also think that the people who don't like Twilight on this spot have been very vocal, clear, and generally respectful in voicing the myriad of reasons they have for not liking the books.
The sparkly thing really doesn't bother me that much. Basically what jamboni said; she gets props for creativity even if I do think it's inexplicable and ridiculous.
But the way she romanticizes abusive relationships in a series about and targeted towards teens is inexcusable.
Of course not. An author with a good sense of humor and good writing skills could make sparkly vampires hillarious and entertaining. But Meyer is not the one.
I dislike Twilight, because 1) it is very badly writen 2) it suffers from the lack of plot. I mean, a girl falls in love with a vampire who is 100 + years old virgin and during the whole series we read about how gorgeous, shiny, perfect, greek god like he is. The triangle thing (Edward/Bella/Jacob) was a total fail, because Meyer didn't even do a proper job in making Jacob more likable: he is just as abusive and stalking as Edward with one difference that at least Edward is not mentally ill and Jacob seems to have mental issues, which in the end lead him to imprinting on EB newborn child, which is totally sick and looks like pedophilia. 3) the characters are cliched. Just take Rosalie, she is blond and of course she has to be shown as a "bitch", same with Loren.
Not at all. I've yet, like Cinders, to come across someone who only disliked Twilight because the vampires sparkled. I, personally, don't like the fact they sparkle, but I don't hate it. I think she could have been more "creative" or at least done it better.
It's sexist, poorly written, ridiculous, most characters are Mary-Sues/Gary-Stus,and the film/book gets too much insane fangirl attention.
More reasons needed?
No. No matter how everyone debates about vampires being ruined by the sparkling thing, I find it a silly reason to hate Twilight. There are much more, well-explained out and fully stated issues people have with this monsterpiece.
No. I give humanity the benefit of the doubt here and assume that no rational person would be that ridiculous. Although, I do think some of the reasons are quite petty, almost as though people are determined to dislike it :\

No way am I giving her props for ruining the concept of what a Vampire actually is.
