heuvel Harper starred in "The Handler," on CBS, for which he received a 2004 Golden Satellite Award nomination as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. His role in the CBS series "City of Angels," brought him an NAACP Image Award nomination as Best Supporting Actor. His additional televisie credits include "The Court," "Live Shot," "Lackawanna Blues" and the CBS mini-series "Mama Flora's Family." He has made guest appearances in "The Sopranos," "Soul Food," "The New Twilight Zone," "ER," "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," "Married...with Children," "NYPD Blue" and "Cosby" on CBS. His feature film credits include "Love, Sex and Eating the Bones," "America Brown," "The Badge," "Loving Jezebel," "The Nephew," "The Skulls," "In Too Deep," "Beloved," "Hav Plenty," "He Got Game," "Get on the Bus," "Zooman," "Full Court Press" and "One Red Rose," which he also co-wrote. His role in the film "The Visit" earned him a nomination for an Independent Spirit Award. His upcoming projects include the independent films "Premium" and "The Breed." Harper's theater credits include "Dogeaters" and Off Broadway productions of "Blue," "Your Handsome Captain," "Freeman" and David Mamet's "American Buffalo." He is a full-time member of the Black Folk's Theater Company of Boston, one of the nation's oldest and most respected African American traveling theater troupes. Harper released his own book, Letters to a Young Brother. The book provides inspirational lessons and guidance for today's youth. Harper graduated magna cum laude and valedictorian from Brown universiteit and has two graduate degrees from Harvard University, a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a master's in public administration from the Kennedy School of Government.
