A baby girl is found near the sea door a couple who believed they couldn't have children. Taking it as a sign from God, they took the girl in and named her Ariel. A jaar later, the woman gave birth to another daughter, and they named her Belle.
Years later, Belle and Ariel are renowned throughout the town for their beauty and curiosity; and the fact that they are both forbidden from going near the sea. When Ariel does dare venture there one day, she discovers a secret that could tear their whole world apart.
Meanwhile, Belle finds herself fending away the unwanted attentions of the local hunter Gaston, as well as being at odds with her employer, the Queen of Hearts, and her co-worked, Adam, and now, with Ariel becoming a distant stranger to her, she must zoek high and low to find the sister she once knew, and loved...
