10. Dr. Facilier

Definitely the weakest DP villain in my opinion. I spent the first half of the movie unsure of what his goal and motivation was. He just kind of seemed like a creepy hobo who lurks about and casts random voodoo spells. He kind of seemed like an after-thought in the grand scheme of the story, there was no great climactic battle. His scene in which he tries to tempt Tiana is basically pointless because we know that the princess would never just hand over her prince to be killed door the villain like that. It helps toon Tiana's character development, but it's not very suspenseful of a scene. His song was good but kind of long when u consider the fact the audience doesn't really understand why he's doing anything he does.

9. Ratcliffe

He's kind of scary and funny at the same time. When he says "I'd help ya to dig boys, but I've got this crick in me spine" I always laugh. His outfit is kind of funny because it's very feminine on an extremely large manly body. His voice is intimidating but again, he's kind of an after-thought of a villain. The villain in Pocahontas is meer the metaphorical villain that is war and hatred rather than this greedy douchebag alone.

8. Shan-Yu

He has some very chilling lines and is physically intimidating. All in all, he doesn't make a huge impression on me though. He is above the other two for his ability to kill and conquer and his design is very creepy and dark.

7. Jafar

A fan favourite among DP villains, I like him a lot. He is very sinister and sly and perverted. He obviously has a taste for S&M and is a power-hungry sociopath. He keeps his cool and only when he gains power does he laugh and vividly demonstrate what a psychotic twisted madman he truly is. I find him to be a painfully obvious villain though and there's nothing particularly unique about his brand of villainy which is why he's not in the top, boven section of the list.

6. The Queen

She is very intimidating to me. I find her elegance and icy reserved yet commanding presence very haunting. She is just so severe looking, u can feel the hatred sizzling out of her towards Snow White. She seems like an emotionless sociopath of a ruler. Only when she becomes the equally terrifying hag does she dispose of her composure and reveal the twisted joy she gets out of torturing and killing and burying people alive. She also has that transformation scene in the dungeon which is one of the trippiest, most disturbing scenes in Disney history to me. The direction in that scene is very horror-like. And when she first darkens the window and is smiling at Snow White in hag-form. I'm surprised Snow White didn't pepper-spray her for that look alone!

5. Lady Tremaine

Now this is one twisted sicko. Who derives that much joy from torturing a kindhearted young person? She is abusing a child and literally does it for fun! Her motive is so sickening and vapid. She doesn't want anyone prettier of nicer than her daughters to have any self-esteem! The way she raises Cinderella's hopes for the fun of it shows that it's not just about keeping Cinderella from a night out - she loves seeing the optimism and faith leave Cindy's eyes. It gives her a satisfied giggle. She's so horrible! When she locks Cinderella up, the smug look on her face is SO horrid! She is one of the meanest villains I've ever seen in a Disney movie. Her actions are unforgivable. I find it very compelling when DP villains aren't magical and toon the true dark side of human nature rather than being supernatural embodiments of evil.

4. Maleficent

She looks cool, she's elegant, she's graceful. She's the queen of darkness. There's something fashionable and cool about her that no one cares to admit they admire. She just seems sure of herself and I love the way she commands the room in her first scene. She is a bit of a stereotypical demon villain but the fact that she's a very feminine, demure one makes her a first for Disney. She also has a really sick sense of humour with keeping Philip locked up but letting him go. Villains like Ratcliffe would just kill Philip if he didn't want Aurora to awaken. It's the really scary ones like Maleficent who keep u alive to suffer for a good laugh. It's not just about keeping her prophecy alive, she actually enjoys human suffering.

3. Mother Gothel

I was very impressed with the most recent DP villain. She has a great song and reprise and one of the most compelling princess-villain relationships ever in a Disney movie! It really disturbs me on a new level for Disney. That scene where she brushes toddler Rapunzel's hair and speaks to her in that motherly voice. She actually is the most manipulative sociopath yet! She is able to deceive a young girl into thinking she loves her! And apparently she has deceived a lot of fans too! Trust me, abusive sociopaths can fake affection to a tee if it means it'll be easier to keep what they want - but no loving person would imprison an innocent baby for life so that she can exploit her for her own gain! NO ONE. She is unforgivable and it shows what a great job Disney did door the fact some fans of Tangled actually vraag her motives and mistake it for love.

2. Ursula

She's sassy, fun, unique looking, a cool mythical creature. She has an incredible song. She uses some of the most clever deception and manipulation to get what she wants. And all at the same time, there's something kind of likeable about her as well. When she turns into a giant, it's scary. Imagine how Eric feels...being a human in the middle of the stormy ocean with a giant creature with a magic trident trying to kill u and your girlfriend! Ursula is a great villain, she's just so memorable and easily my favourite female villain!

1. Gaston

Great song, great villain. Again, I love villains who expose the dark side of human nature and not just supernatural embodiments of evil. It's scary how Gaston transforms throughout the film. If Belle wasn't as strong a character and was less bold and brave, he literally would have gotten away with blackmailing a woman and raping her and keeping her prisoner essentially for life! And on top, boven of that, NO ONE in the town would know how evil he is because he hides it underneath a charming exterior! I find that VERY threatening! Some people seem to think Gaston is a joke of a villain...um, he's trying to rape a woman and keep her as a sex slave! Disney uses "marry" to convey that he wants to force her to have sex with him seven nights a week for the rest of her life and he is unbothered door the fact she doesn't want to! I think Gaston inspired this type of villain we saw later in Disney like Frollo and even Jafar to a degree. How far would he have gone to get his way? He says "Belle is mine!" to the Beast, it sounds to me like no matter how many times she says no, he will stop at nothing to force her to be his. He has sociopathic sense of humour as well, he actually looks joyful when Maurice is being locked up even after Belle has rejected him. He likes seeing someone suffer because he knows it hurts someone who won't have sex with him! He's also terrifying because he's so popular, he has the power here. He can easily make Belle and Maurice, the town rejects, look crazy to force his will on them. All in all, he's my favourite Disney Princess villain. And he's devilishly handsome too, I must say.
While it hasn't been confirmed, various clues have pointed to Moana eventually joining the Disney Princess lineup. This process only involved 20+ users, which I think is a good thing, we'll save the BIG survey for after Moana's official coronation. That's why I didn't ask for commentaren of use fancy pics. Since the pool of users is so small, I wouldn't say these results are absolute and concrete. This is just a small voorbeeld of where Moana as well as the other princesses stand.

12. Merida-178 points

To the surprise of literally no one, Merida is dead last. Often criticized door DP fans and...

Now with all the issues, people have with Disney, one of the films that have legitimate grievances is Pocahontas. And as u can imagine, because there ARE legit grievances to be had with Pocahontas, sites like Tumblr have an absolute field dag with it. Personally, the meer research I did on the situation around this film, the meer I was actually fascinated door it.

I know it's easy to write this movie off but how it came to be is a lot meer nuanced than u think. It actually was gonna be a story closer to what happened in history but then Jefferey Katzenberg's overwhelming desire to get another...

Though not nearly as much as Merida and other revival princesses,Tiana is occasionally bashed for contributing to Disney's current trend of "meta", "woke" commentary with her whole "hard work, u can't just wish" shtick. While this does irritate me, I try to separate film makers' intentions from the actual context of the movie and the character.

In the first act of the film, she's portrayed as diligent and determined but she's not as in your face about it. For the most part, her thing is "partying and dancing just isn't my for me". She's not insistent, condescending of critical of others for...

As asteriamalfoy recently reported on the club wall, it appears that Moana will soon become the newest member of the Disney Princess lineup. The club's reception to the news is a mixed bag, which is the latest example of how the general Fanpop opinion (namely, this club's opinion) doesn't always match that of the internet. It's interesting why that is, and I will attempt to find the reason here.

Before going forward, be aware that everything that I consider an "opinion" of Fanpop and/or the internet is a generalization. True, there are some users on both this website and the rest of the worldwide...

I finally worked out how to do this. My mistake was mixing too many languages together which made it impossible to translate it back into full English. That's why Snow White's paragraph came back with only one sentence. I've done a remake of it with funny results including Cinderella and Aurora's stories.

Snow White's Background

"Snow White was born into the royal family. Her mother died shortly after her birth. After some time, Snow White's father remarried a vain and cold-hearted queen. Not long after their marriage, the King, Snow White's...

I am decided to sort DPs to Hogwarts Houses. I'll illustrate this artikel with pictures where each DP best exhibits the traits of house she belongs( Gryffindors do something risky, Hufflepuffs are doing something useful of exhibit frinedliness, Ravenclaws read of explore something, Slytherins are tricking someone of dream about something). Warning: I have some unpopular opinions but I'll try to explain them. This is how I interpretent Hogwarts Houses and their values:
Gryffindors are first of all are brave, courageous, outspoken and risky. They are also often progressive, rebellious, mischievous,...

Cinderella kasteel and Wishing Well

I've written many posts about the various attractions in Disney theme parks based around the films I've been watching. Some have been prominent rides such as Snow White's Scary Adventure of Pinocchio's Daring Journey. Others have been obscure areas such as the Fantasia golfing attraction of ephemeral like Bambi's presence in the parks. Some have merely been meet and greets.

Cinderella, however, is a film whose impact on Disney theme parks is huge. It forms, after all, the centre-piece of Disney World itself - Cinderella's Castle; a massive structure visible...

A Disney Tale: A young girl is forced into drudgery door her step-family, only to win the hart-, hart of the kingdom's Prince and live happily ever after.

Disney Hero: Ostensibly, the 'hero' of Cinderella is the Prince (never actually referred to as Prince Charming, despite that being what he is generally known as today. Some sources have him named as Henry.). It is he who romances Cinderella and desires her as his wife after the ball. But, actually, the real heroes of Cinderella - for me - are Jaq and Gus, Cinderella's mice friends. They are the one's who rescue Cinderella from her attic room. Jaq...

So Anna was a little meer interesting to write because as I started writing Anna's, I thought about how I used Elsa the end of the movie as a basis for making her princess lijst so I tried to focus on end of the movie Anna. However, I realized that, although I felt like Anna had changed-- she actually hadn't. I became conscious of the fact that the narrative was making Anna go through all the motions and dramatic arcs of someone going through a change, but she was still the same person at the end of the movie. Also, like Snow White, I think Anna would absolutely adore all of the Disney Princesses....
