Dear John,
Wingapo,
I miss you. I miss u so much it hurts. I am forever grateful that u took a bullet for my father but it broke my hart-, hart when u left- but I knew it was for the best- u needed to get healed, the only chance u had of surviving was if u went back to England.
I remember I showed u so many things: a wolf crying to the blue maïs moon, the grinning bobcat, mountains, I taught u to paint with all the colors of the wind.
There's a full moon tonight, it reminds me of you, half a world away.
A few days together, that's all it took, a few days for me to fall in love with you.
It's amazing what u can do in such a small time.
The problem with time is that eventually time always runs out.
I have no idea where u are out there in the world, John. But I understand that I lost the right to know these things long ago.
But tonight, tonight you're here with me.
Our story has three parts: a beginning, a middle, and an end. And although this is the way all stories unfold, I still can't believe that ours didn't go on forever.
I love you, not just for now, but for always, and I dream of the dag that you’ll take me in your arms again.
Please write back John, tell me everything, that way we can still be with each other even though your half a world away.
Ana,
With love from,
Pocahontas
