Ok, I'm pretty sure everyone knows door now that I'm not a huge Frozen fan! And I love ranting and having debates, so how about we do a debate again? (I know that they're going on in the forum section but I'm going to do an artikel because I don't want to differ from what they're talking about now.) this time, instead of talking about just Anna, Elsa, the parents, and the trolls, how about we talk about the positives and negatives of this movie?

How about I start with the positive section. There's got to be at least something I like about this movie, right?

The Positives

1.The Animation!
Ok, as most of u know, I have tons of problems with this movie, but the animatie is not one of them! The animatie is fantastic. Specific parts, like when Elsa builds the ice castle, are absolutely stunning. I really like how the characters look, I love the expressions they make, and I feel like they have great designs, although Anna and Elsa's look similar. I really enjoy the animatie as a whole. It feels ALIVE, like somebody is actually building a real castle, right in front of you. Just, stunning. Overall, the animatie is amazing and it's my favoriete computer animated Disney Princess movie animation.

u want me to be honest? That's all the positives I've got.

The Negatives

1.The Plot-Line
*spoliers*
Ok, so let's see. The plot-line is..
A girl who has ice powers is isolated from the world because of her parents fear that they created a monster. 3 years after their parents die the oldest sister has her coronation while the youngest sister finds a man she wants to marry even though she JUST met him, but then the oldest sister accidentally reveals her ice powers and runs away, causing an eternal winter. The youngest sister goes off to rescue her (in her dress, what the heck Anna? There's snow and ice everywhere!) and she meets up with a person who sells ice. Anna basically BUYS her way up to him door practically BRIBING him. After that, they head off on an adventure, Kristoff's sled breaks (and if course Anna buys her way up to him again door promising a new sled.) they meet a snowman that's alive that the oldest sister created when she is about to build her ice castle, then they see the sister, Anna gets her upset, and they're forced off. Hans comes and locks the sister up, Anna's hart-, hart is frozen, they go to the trolls and it turns out they need a true loves kiss, and they go to find Hans. Then it turns out Hans was a villain all along (yeah right, they just changed it at the last moment.) and he locks Anna up. After he locks Anna up, Olaf helps Anna get out, and then they find Elsa. Hans is about to kill Elsa when Anna sacrifices herself for her sister, Anna is frozen, and Elsa hugs her and she melts. Then Elsa SUDDENLY learns the key to melting stuff, love. (Couldn't it be something else?) everybody is happy.

It was awful. It was AWFUL.
I hated the entire plot line.
I had a lot of issues with the plot line.
Let's start off with the beginning, I've already talked about Elsa's parents, the abuse, all that.
Now on to Anna and Hans' marriage. So Anna meets a good looking guy, and falls in love. They sing a song, and ask the queen for her blessing. In the end, Anna learns that u shouldn't marry a man u just met. WHAT?! THAT was her lesson?! Even a little kid knows u can't just sing a song with somebody and immediately marry him! What the heck type of lesson was that even supposed to be?! Anna also NEVER develops throughout the plot. In the end, she's exactly the same person she was in the beginning. She's still an awkward, annoying, immature, annoyance. She learned what has to be the stupidest lesson of all time, and even though the real message was about sisterly love, Anna still seems to treat Elsa meer like a friend then her sister in the end. The whole plot line just bothers me so much!

2. The Characters
Well obviously they have to be on this list.
Anna: I really dislike her because she's annoying and I also don't think she really ever learned anything. Just like I mentioned before. She never develops. Take Rapunzel for example. Rapunzel starts out as a scared little girl, but develops over time, and she has that scene where she finally stands up to Mother Gothel. She's not desperate for attention either. She actually MAKES USE of what she has, which is something Anna DOES NOT do! Anna just sits around bored when she could be doing anything else! Have u seen the kasteel she lives in? It's huge! She has a huge kasteel to explore, play in, do stuff in, and there's probably much meer to do then that as well!
Elsa: I honestly don't blame Elsa for much. What her parents have done to her is traumatizing. But after her parents die, she still can't talk to Anna, that annoys me, but it's honestly Anna's fault. She asks Elsa all the time, and every time she does it, it brings up all of Elsa's memories. It annoys me. Anna was 5 when Elsa is locked in her room, and when Anna is 18, she's still knocking on her door. If Elsa doesn't want to come out, then LEAVE HER ALONE ANNA!
Kristoff: I personally don't care for Kristoff.
Olaf: I mostly despise Olaf for two reasons. One, he's just merchandising. There's a difference between merchandising and comic relief. Comic relief is ACTUALLY FUNNY, and people like them because of that. Merchandising is usually a made up creature that kids love, and they use it to make parents buy those toys for their kids. My seconde problem with Olaf is his voice. I find it extremely annoying and irritating.
Sven: Dint really care for him either.

Well, those are my positives and negatives of the movie. I have a lot of issues with the movie, and I really have a neutral (and possible dislike) of this movie.
What do u think about the movie?
What do u think some of the positives and negatives are?
Let me know in the comments! :D
.... of Are They? I keep hearing this massive distortion that Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora and sometimes others are "unrealistically perfect". Well first of all, they're not actually "perfect" but yes they strive for it and come pretty close. The number one reason? The earlier DPs were made in a time where families were still valued as well as good morals and they were on their best behavior in front of children, hoping that the kids would learn to embrace positive traits and reject negative traits so they would be meer positive people. They cared meer about well-roundedness, being modest...

Okay, so I have come across a lot of criticism against Merida that she is childish, rude, reckless, selfish and what not. But since she's my 2nd favoriete princess, i'd like to put up a case in her favor for people to consider and see her in better light. I have tried to dissect the movie scenes, probed into possible perspective on various minor details that may have been overlooked.

Why she isn't sophisticated as others:
She no doubt loves both her mother and father, but Merida takes off a part of feisty, loud and unapologetically honest side from her father. She loves to fight with him, laughing...

The saddest moments from DP films that made me cry and most often they still do. Some are close to hart-, hart while some are so well enacted and animated that i'm moved door the simplicity of emotions.

13. 3 good fairies put the entire kingdom to sleep:
Despite their best of efforts, they lose Aurora to the spell and the only way to make things work is to put the entire kingdom to sleep, waking only when she awakens. It makes me sad to see them blame themselves for this loss. It doesn't make me cry though, but yes, it puts me in a sad mood.

12. Cinderella crying in the forest:
More than her dress...

Like I stated in my last wallpost I'm about to lose my grandmother and so I decided to write an artikel about some of the Saddest Moments in the DP films in no particular order (but I'll mention my number 1 in the end of the article). So anyway hope you'll like this article

Brave: The 2nd Sunrise
I may not be a big fan of Brave, but this scene is sad, when I first saw this movie in the cinemas I cried during this scene and I still find this scene to be quite sad

Cinderella: The Dress Ripping Scene
This scene is so sad to watch everytime, Cinderella had the chance of finally getting out of the...

If any of u are familiar with character stylization of really art in general u might like this article. I'm talking about character stylization in the sense that when the artist is also the auteur of the character's personality and has written out their every thought in simply the way they are designed. This can also be called "interpreted art" as anyone can perceive it differently, but a common factor still remains that everyone agrees on. BASICALLY I'm going to "guess" what the princess' personality is like based on the way she's drawn, see what the general consensus is on her personality...

My Favourite Things from The Sound of Music

This song reminds me of the scene in the woods after she's been scared door the dark shadowed shapes of the trees. When she asks the animals what they would do and starts singing With a Smile and a Song. Well this be an alternative song of whilst she' singing she could be imagining her favourite things. I can also Snow White singing this. It does require a positive sounding vocal so it makes sense.

Since this section has been very inactive lately I decided to fresh it up door writing another article, about my favoriete Disney Princesses, hope you'll like this artikel :)

13. Merida

She's the only Disney Princess that I don't like at all, but I don't dislike her either, I feel neutral towards her. The main reason might sound weird, but it's mainly because I don't think she fits in the Disney Princess lineup, to be perfectly honest I would appreciate her character meer if she wasn't an official Disney Princess. Besides that there's nothing wrong about her character except her temper, she's...

Hello All! Due to my life interfering with my time these days, I took a hiatus from artikel writing. I also took a hiatus, because KataraLover and Cruella stepped into the void, and took on the “these are horrible characters argument” in a set of ongoing video discussions that can be found on the video linken page of The Disney Princess Club. (My hat goes off to them, as they were dispelling the myths and stigmas surrounding certain unbeloved characters). Great work, guys!!!
Since this is the last artikel on the Vices of the Disney Princesses, I want to at least say...

I have been inspired door seeing artikels that defend Ariel on Fanpop so I thought I would write my own.

Ariel also gets a lot of flack and it drives me insane! People say Ariel is anti-feminist because she gives up her voice to be with Eric. She always wanted to be human. At the beginning of the film she was collecting artifacts of the human world. Do u think she was collecting artifacts because of Eric? The song Part of Your World, she wasn't even singing about Eric. Her fascination with humans is what lead her to become interested in Eric. If it wasn't her fascination with humans, she wouldn't...

It's been a while since I last wrote an artikel so I decided to do an artikel about which princesses I can relate to the most, hope you'll like this article

13. Merida

Like her I can lose my temper and get angry sometimes and I prefer being single (but unlike her I wouldn't mind being in a relationship with someone), but besides that we're not similar at all, I'm meer girly than her

12. Tiana

I putted Tiana higher than Merida because we both love cooking and we both have a strong relationship with our mothers, but besides that we aren't that similar, I'm less hard working and meer fun...
