Disney Princess Article: Reviewing Songs; Tangled, Part 1!

I thought I'd do this one next. Anyways, keep in mind that this is my opinion, and we may disagree, so respect my opinion and I'll respect yours.

When Will My Life Begin?
I don't care if people say it's unmemorable, I absolutely love it, and it's my favoriete song from the movie. I love Mandy Moore's voice, and it's one of my favoriete Disney Princess voices. I also enjoy the tone of the song, and think it's quite lovely. I don't really like the ending too much though. I still love the song though.

Mother Knows Best
I like this song too, though not as much as When Will My Life Begin. I don't really like the tune of it that much, it's not that great in my opinion. I like Donna Murphy's voice, but I don't think it helps the song too much. I like it, but there's better songs in the movie, in my opinion.

When Will My Life Begin? (Reprise)
This song actually improves upon the original, although I still prefer the original. I think this song shows off Mandy's voice better than the first one, and it has a better tone to it. Although, I still prefer the original though, because I'm strange like that.

I've Got A Dream
I don't really like this song at all. I'm just... Not a huge fan of it. The only part I like of it is when Rapunzel sings her part, which is extremely short. I believe that this is actually the longest song in the movie, and I don't understand why. Why would they want to make a minor character song so long? Anyways, I don't like this one too much, I just like Rapunzel's part, and as I mentioned before, it's extremely short.

MalloMar When Will My Life Begin: Somewhat agree. It's a pretty good song. Mother Knows Best: I really like this one. It's so cleverly done. When Will My Life Begin Reprise: Agree, except for your preference of the original. It DOES show off Mandy's voice better, and the emotion is captures flawlessly! XD I love you're "Because I'm strange like that" comment. I've Got a Dream: Sometimes I love it, sometimes I hate it..... Nice job! Ahhh, my comments on these articles are getting kind of boring and predictable..Sorry.

peacebaby7 I agree with some of your thoughts here. As far as [i]When Will My Life Begin[/i], I enjoyed this one because I kind of felt a similar way when I was younger and was bullied in school and neglected by my father at home. Although, I of course wasn't quite as upbeat about it. I also think it shows off Mandy's voice very well, as well as the Reprise. I didn't really like [i]Mother Knows Best[/i] mainly because of how Gothel exaggerated the dangers of the world (well, maybe not quite as exaggerated in today's time, but still) and tried to manipulate her into staying. Unlike you, I did kind of like the beat of the song, however, if I ignore the lyrics. I thought it was kind of fluttery, in a weird way. I didn't particularly care for [i]I've Got a Dream[/i]. Not only was it a bit unrealistic in the fact that I'm pretty sure a bunch of tough men like that would just a) admit their dreams, for most of them, which were a bit . . . interesting . . . and b) just let Flynn go without revenge, the reward, or both. But, despite that, there's a part of me that did enjoy it somewhat just because it was still a bit of a fun song and I thought it was funny when they told Flynn to sing and had to threaten him to get him to. I do see your points in your opinions, however. I look forward to reading the next set.

When Will My Life Begin: Completely agree, and it's my favorite in the movie! I love how her voice sounds. I've Got A Dream: I agree 100%. I only like Rapunzel's part. Nice article!

PeacefulCritic When will my life begin was my favorite song out of the movie too. How ever I hated the reprise even through I do agree her voice was better there the lyrics was horrible. Mother Knows best was a great song and I found it clever how they made a good guy back round music. And I've got a dream was my lest favorite song out of the movie. 324anna Great article! When will my life begin: I really like this song and it always stucks in my head after I watch the movie. But I actually find the end of it very nice. Mother knows best: I love it! But maybe it's just because I have a thing for villain songs. :) When will my life begin: I agree with you, but I'm not sure if I like it more or less than the original. I've got a dream: It's certainly not my favorite from the movie, but I find it quite funny and catchy, I really laughed when Flynn started singing and Rapunzel's part was indeed the best part. I look forward to the part 2!

MissCassecou I really love your articles, and I liked this one too! I agreed with everything you said; Mandy Moore is so underrated in the singing department, she has a lovely voice and my singing voice sounds like hers so there's another reason why I like it! I didn't really like "I have a Dream" either but I do like Rapunzel's part. I love "When Will my Life Begin" because it applies to pretty much every adolescent, including myself and it's really nice. Nice article!

iwasneverhere I just instantly liked...all of Tangled's songs and its entire soundtrack upon first watching the movie. Even the credits song was totally fun. I think Tangled's songs struck just the right chords/ feel for the environment and the characters. .There were no duds, and I have listened to Mandy before, and she has a sweet voice, minus the extra fluff you can sometimes hear if a well-known vocalist sings it. Mandy doesn't over-sing the songs. So I liked the end result. So we share a love of Mandy's voice. Wink-wink. Great article! Will read part 2!!! :D

The Continuity Issues with The Little Mermaid Franchise

If most of u like me have grown up with The Little Mermaid and have followed the films and TV shows, I think u realize when it comes to the story of the rebellious redhead from under the sea, it's not completely there.

Now I didn't see The Little Mermaid in theaters, but a lot of u did. It after all was the highest grossing animated film at that time. And of course, u all loved it. So when u found out that Disney was making an animated series about the movie, u of course were very excited. I myself grew up watching the series on VHS's and one of the VHS's I owned was "In Harmony."...

Lately my obsession for Pocahontas is growing, and although I've already made a "Why I Love" artikel for her, I just really wanted to write something else for her. The artikel will be a scene-by-scene review, so I'll start from the beginning and talk about every scene she's in till the end, so this artikel might get pretty lengthy. Anyways, I hope u enjoy :)

We first see Pocahontas up on a cliff thinking. I love how Pocahontas thinks things through and isn't at all impulsive. We then see her dive off the cliff, as opposed to going down the safer way. This shows Pocahontas's adventurous side...
