Disney Princess-Inspired Additions to the Parks

So I love Disneyland and Disneyworld and I love their Princess-themed attractions. That being said, I always thought it would be really cool if there were meer things at the park pertaining specifically to the Princesses as I am a huge fan! <3 So I thought I'd try to see if I could figure out some form of new attraction (ride, shop, restaurant, etc.) for each DP film. I hope u guys enjoy!

1. Snow White's Scary Forest
I thought this would be an annual Halloween event. Something to get the kids ready for the scary walk throughs they will love as teenagers and young adults. :) It can even end with the eyes and the animals to make the ending a bit softer for children.

2. Cinderella's Carriage Ride
Very similar to the rides for Snow White, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Mr. Toad's Wild & Crazy Ride, The Little Mermaid, etc. Basically a run-through of the film highlighting the most memorable moments and songs. I think getting into a carriage as the "car" would be a really nice detail. <3

3. Sleeping Beauty Ride
Refer to #2. Same car for Snow White with 3 rows of 2 seats each to allow one row each to represent one of the good fairies: Flora, Fauna & Merryweather.

4. Ariel's Grotto
Ariel is a collector of the human world so it only makes sense to name a great souvenir koop after her grotto and it should have a wide variety of products inside. :D

5. Beauty and the Beast Ride
Refer to #2. Same car for Snow White with 3 rows of 2 seats each to allow one row each to represent a sidekick: Lumiere, Cogsworth and Mrs. Potts with Chip.

6. "Whole New World" Magic Carpet Ride
Has anyone else totally wanted to ride that carpet and take that trip above the pyramids etc? If u have ever been to Disney California Adventure and rode Soarin Over California of Universal Studios and rode the Simpsons Ride then u will know exactly what I am talking about for this. Get into a "magic carpet car" and it can lift up with a screen in front to simulate all of the same afbeeldingen Aladdin and jasmijn went by. The visual and motion elements make it feel very real and quite magical! <3

7. "Just Around the Riverbend" Log Ride
Incredibly similar to "Splash Mountain" but way better scenery, in my opinion. I would just replace Splash Mountain with Pocahontas' Just Around the Riverbend. The song can play the entire time, there is still a big drop and lots of little things on the sides to see like the animals etc. The ride can even end with that spleet, split path to bring the logs back in. :D

8. Mulan's Journey to Save China Ride
Refer to #2 but meer similar to Alice In Wonderland because similar to riding the caterpillar, I thought it would be really awesome to ride the panda that Mushu rode. If not, Mulan's horse works just fine of perhaps both switched off so one will have the option of riding both.

8. Tiana's Palace (Restaurant)
I mean, really now, I don't see why this one hasn't been done yet. New Orleans at the parks is not very memorable to me, including the restaurants so this change would only help and not hurt the park. I think the biggest and nicest restaurant in New Orleans Square at the park should just be converted to "Tiana's Palace" as a restaurant and serve traditional Creole food. :D

9. Louis & The Band on The Mark Twain Riverboat
The Riverboat is already there and smartly incorporated in Princess and the Frog. Why not take the extra step and add animatronic animals, including Louis, to play on the riverboat when one rides it? Ride the boot and hear Louis' jazz, I say. :D

10. Rapunzel's Tower
Very similar to all of the houses in Toontown (Mickey's, Minnie's, Donald's Boat, etc.) and Swiss Family Robinson and Tarzan's Treehouse. I think it would be really neat to get to go inside of Rapunzel's tower and look at all of her artwork etc.

11. Merida's Brave Obstacle Course/Rock Climbing Experience
I love that Merida is a physically fit princess! Let's incorporate that into the park and perhaps have a "Fire Falls" Rock Climbing of a fun obstacle course. I always thought obstacle courses were the most fun thing!

12. Wandering Oaken's Trading Post
Similar to Ariel's grotto, I think this would be a really cute koop to have. I only wish it would come with Oaken too because he was great! <3

PrincessAyeka12 Actually an Aladdin magic carpet ride already exists in Disneyland Paris but without a screen. What about a 3D virtual reality magic carpet ride? That would be amazing! There's a 3D virtual reality tour in Brugge, Belgium, that takes you back through history to explore the city.

laylastepford ^ I know there is a magic carpet ride in disney magic kingdom and paris as you spoke of but it is like the dumbo ride and not exciting to me at all for anyone older than 12. I still added this because the version I was thinking of doesn't exist at any of their parks that I know of. What I am talking about is similar to 3D. Are you familiar with "soaring over california" or universal studios "simpsons ride"? The Simpsons ride is a "simulation ride" where you sit in a car and it moves but the screen in front of you is what really makes you think you're moving much more than you actually are. GREAT optical illusion and no need for those 3D glasses, which I personally cant stand as they hurt my eyes honestly. Soarin over California is basically the same but more "hang glider" style without a floor underneath you but same thing with the screen yet you need glasses for it. PrincessAyeka12 No, I'm not familiar with them. I've never been to America. The Simpsons ride looks scary. I can imagine closing my eyes and holding on tightly no matter whether it was moving much or not. I'd be worse on Soarin over California, I'm scared of heights and have a fear of falling. Being lifted up in the air, no not my thing. I'd rather be back in Brugge, sitting on a bench in a booth with 3D Glasses and headphones looking at a screen. And being transported into a 1st person video game style VR world. With an option to remove the glasses if one gets nauseous or terrified. The only scary bit of that was being on a platform twenty meters above the ground with nothing but air behind you. But apart from that, it was great. You could look in front, left to right, behind, up and down in the VR world. See and hear the seagulls, the ocean, construction workers, the river, the bell tower, etc. Travel in boats or simply float / fly from place to place around the city. If you haven't been there, I'd recommend it. Anyway back to the article. I agree with your choices but I'd only enjoy 8 out of 12.

laylastepford ^ No worries, hopefully the videos helped show what I was talking about. It would feel like being on a magic carpet ride and we'd see the same scenes Aladdin & Jasmine did. :D I have never heard of this 3D virtual reality tour but it sounds really interesting. As I said before, I don't like the 3D glasses though as the 3D images hurt my eyes. I also don't like putting on headphones that many other people wear for obvious cleanliness reasons and also I think it would make it feel more suffocating. It sounds very scary to be put on a platform up high which is why I prefer the Simpsons ride myself over Soaring Over California. So I would definitely have to weigh in all of those factors before getting to try something like that but it sounds very interesting. I'd only enjoy 9/12 myself. The 3 that aren't my thing are Ariel's Grotto & Oaken's Post (not much of a shopper) and Tiana's Palace (I'm okay with Cajun food but it's not one of my favorites). I don't much ever go on that Mark Twain Riverboat but I wouldn't mind the Jazz music with "Louis and the Band" on the boat. :)

laylastepford ^ Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked them. The Aladdin is my second favorite as I have always wanted to go on that magic carpet ride by the moon and pyramids since I saw the film. I think that would be a really splendid ride with the "magical" feel! I'm glad you were familiar with the references I used. :D I was thinking of more of a "river rapids" type thing for Pocahontas as well since it would definitely fit her personality. I went with the log ride though because I thought it might be more fun to stay more accurate to the movie (though I'd probably prefer 2-seater log rather than single-seater anyways which steers away from accuracy).

ApplesauceDoctr Awesome list! :D I completely agree with the idea of adding Tiana's restaurant to New Orleans Square. I've also wondered why they haven't done so already. It'd be a perfect fit!

anukriti2409 i love all your ideas!!! they are so awesome. I had been to Disneyland, Califronia really long ago in 2001 and don't really remember it as well. I plan to visit the Hongkong one sometime really soon as i have heard it's really good. I think the Snow's forest ride, Ariel's grotto, Aladdin's magic carpet ride, Poca's log ride ( i remember the splash mountain ride :) ), Rapunzel's tower and Merida's Obstacle Path are really cool ideas! For beauty and the beast, i'd actually want to do dance in that Ballroom setting and would want to experience Ice Castle from Frozen. Great article!

I had the idea then that Disney should add it and then I started thinking of rides/attractions/etc for every DP to addo the park, and not just Rapunzel! <3 Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride, Rapunzel's Tower & Merida's Obstacle Path are all my personal favorites. I love your idea about the ballroom setting! That would be really neat! I just think that might be hard because different cultures have different ways of dancing and some cultures might see other cultures' dancing as inappropriate for children so I don't know if it could be free-style dancing. If it's no free-style dancing then those other cultures whose dances aren't represented might get upset and complain potentially. I do love the idea though! I also like the Ice Castle from Frozen idea as well! Thank you for sharing! Perhaps some day you might want to do your own article like this if you think of things for the other DPs. :D

anukriti2409 ^that's awesome that our conversation on Rapunzel's tower led you to think of this :) It's ok, you always give due credit and it is fair to say that it was quite some time back that this conversation happened. I may not attempt a similar article as i dont quite remember what all is already in Disneyland (in any country), so my suggestion may well already be there. But propbably I'll think on others as well further and share those views on your article some time later :) This is a very interesting read and I have already fanned it :D

I can get easily inspired by little things here and there, especially when having an insightful, deep or detailed conversation about things. :D It was quite some time back and also I had been spending so much time working on individual attractions that this article was starting to take me forever to complete and less enjoyable to write. That is why Sleeping Beauty's ride is the only one 100% done where I added her car to backdrops from her film that could serve to show the entire ride. Just doing hers alone took so long! So anyways, worrying about all of those details etc. had distracted me from some others like the inspiration detail so I sincerely do apologize. <3 Your poll and conversation with me definitely was inspiring for this article and I want you to know that I do thank you very much. :D I think you came up with some nice ideas and I can completely understand why you might not want to do an entire article about it, especially if you're not super familiar with what is at the parks currently. That being said, if you do come up with other ideas, I would absolutely love to hear them as I love the ideas that you came up with already! :D Thank you so much and I'm really glad you enjoyed the read! :D

PrincessAyeka12 For the Sleeping Beauty ride, I'd change it. The story moments are already shown in Aurora's castle at Disneyland Palace through stained glass windows, props and tapestry-like pictures. But instead of a ride, you walk round a room and then go underneath the castle to see a tapestry of Maleficent and the Dragon which is a puppet or something else that moves, growls and snores with "already eaten" victims skeleton props around it's lair. My idea would be a Halloween/Valentine's style event like Snow White's with a happy ending. The Forbidden Mountain to explore. In the entrance there would be a screen showing the moment in the movie where the fairies learn that Prince Phillip was the boy who Aurora met in the woods and then back at the cottage realising that Maleficent has kidnapped him. Then Flora making the final decision that they must go the Forbidden Mountain to rescue him. Then a doorway opens slowly (filled with glowing green fog) as a over-voice says Welcome to the Forbidden Mountain *evil cackle* Are you ready to explore the catacombs? Your mission is to find Prince Phillip! Enter to start your journey....if you dare!! *another evil cackle but louder and a sound effect of lightning cracking* The catacombs lead to three different possible pathways but all of them lead to the same place, a queuing corridor that goes to a ride. Each pathway has it's own scare factor (which vary in mildness). Pathway 1 - leads to a gallery showing moments of Maleficent's life including a moment from the live action Sleeping Beauty with her wings intact and then cut off. And at least two pictures of her daughter (Mal) from Descendants. Every 3 minutes the lights flicker - half going out and in the half darkness - the eyes of the paintings glow from yellow to purple to red. Then a sound effect of Maleficent laughing comes on before the lights flicker back on - then the rest of pathway simply has Maleficent's theme music in the background. Pathway 2 - is like an maze with creepy effects like heat-mist of a dragon's breath or raven's song and actors in minion costume sometimes jump out of the shadows. Pathway 3 - leads to the dungeons. Behind each door seen through the barred window is a candle glow that lights up the whole room and inside is a misunderstood prisoner or an innocent family or a fabled mythical creature whom angered Maleficent in some way - each prisoner in a narrated voice over tells their brief story. The last door, last room is pitch black, but you can hear breathing from inside. A sound effect of thunder. You then see two glowing eyes looking back at you, close to the door. And then a scaly clawed hand makes a grab at you. The ride takes you through the next moments of the story half animated like the movie and half not. The ride stops and you're directed into another meeting room. A screen shows the fairies freeing Phillip. Then voice over says congratulations you completed your mission! Your next mission is to escape from here and save Princess Aurora! Then several door open leading to all pathways. It becomes across between an obstacle course and a fun house. Then in a alcove outside is an empty bed where a girlfriend, gay partner, mum or sister can lay down and pretend to be sleeping. Whilst their partners or friends cut down the thorn forest to reach them. Then above the bed is a screen showing the awakening. And then they have the choice to follow the suite by kissing their partners, mums or sisters to awaken them or go with family to next ride.

laylastepford ^ I like your idea except I don't like the incorporation of Maleficent and Descendants as I see them as being too disconnected from Disney's original Sleeping Beauty. Also I personally like the ride idea better than the castle walkthrough of Sleeping Beauty because I'm in love with the score and soundtrack from Sleeping Beauty! I like your walkthrough idea though with the 3 different paths. I don't like the idea of it ending with a forced kiss though, I find that to be uncomfortable and unnecessary.

Since I am trying to make the Princess Of The maand meer popular, this is another one of my ideas. In the end of each maand I'll post articles, based on the countdowns for songs, hairstyles and outfits. There everybody will have the chance to discuss whether they agree with the results, what corresponded to their expectations, and what they wish would have been different!

Once again, I will be using pictures for my articles. A few months back I would have made a detailed explanation about each result, but since the recent changes, Fanpop has been acting really weird. And yes, I don't like the option of writing long paragraphs with text, while the pictured are all clustered in the bottom of the article! Like all young girls I love the Disney Princesses I was undecided who I liked because I liked the bran new one when it came out it wasn't until I got older that I placed them in a ranking from my least favoriete to my all time. I'd like to apologize in advance if I offend anyone this isn't intentional I think all the Disney Princesses are beautiful and inspiring in there own way :)

# 10 Jasmine: I've never really had a thing for her even when I was little I always found her immodest granted now I know its part of her culture but she just seems like a spolied brat who doesn't seem to be grateful...

A rant on Cinderella, ster of the Disney Princess franchise.

Obviously, as many would know, Cinderella is easily the most populair princess on a global scale. But why? Here are some reasons. Her story is one of, it not the most well known fairytale of all time. Though she is beautiful, her features are rather typical. This means she can be used to represent all the princesses. Her movie was a massive hit that started a cycle of successful films(Alice In Wonderland, Peter Pan). Not to mention, her iconic dress and glass slipper. And finally, her movie is the favoriete of Walt Disney himself....

I'll just get right to the point.

The Flag:
The flag shown on the ship was not used until at least 100 years after the time the film is set.

.____. I knew something was fishy about that flag....

Poca's hair:
ahh, her hair... Lovely isn't it? How it luciously blows in the wind.... But... Isn't it strange how WELL it blows? I mean... My hair is now almost that legnth, and even when the wind is high, it never gets so much as past my back...
So either that is some pretty WICKED wind, of she has some LIGHT hair... Maybe both.

But, if the wind WERE that crazy, then why doesn't it blow the crap...

Princess Rose Red: The Daughter of Snow White & Prince (Part 2)

The heuvel was so wonderful that Rose Red felt sad over leaving them, but she was ready to see the castle.

The kasteel was so big and beautiful and was located close to the sea and was high up the mountains.

They went inside and after a while Rose Red discoverd a mirror and asked her mother about the mirror because she thought that she saw a face in it.

MagicPrincess: favoriete Kiss <3

10. Snow White and the Prince
Their kiss, for me, was a bit dull, boring and quick. It lacked emotion and passion but it is still a classic kiss.

9. Cinderella and Prince Charming
The end kiss was CLASSIC but it was boring and lacked emotion but it was still a beautiful ending to a beautiful story!

8. Sorry if I'm bashing out at the classic princesses! Aurora's kiss had a drop of intensity in it and I love how she brightens up after the kiss! It is truly a CLASSIC kiss!

10 Snow White

Snow White is pretty. Although she is referred as a young woman with skin as white as the snow, lips as red as a rose and hair as dark as a raven I don’t find her that beautiful. I don’t like her hair, the shape of her face and her nose.

9 Rapunzel

Rapunzel has beautiful hair, I love both her long- blonde and short- brown hair. She has lovely eyes- color but her eyes are too big. The problem with Rapunzel is that she is 3D princess and her features seem weird to me. I’d prefer her as 2D, she would be meer beautiful. Now she’s just cute and pretty.

I slammed the office door shut as I stepped into the cool, air-conditioned room. "Good morning, Sir," I greeted my boss, who was reading a package of papers. "I've got your Dunkin' Donuts Coffee, and the Sunday paper." I set them all down on his desk.

hallo everybody, so I was watching Pocahontas this morning and I thought it was amazing as usual, but everytime I see it I can´t help myself from thinking about the sequel (which I know some people say is meer historicaly accurate, but who cares about that? I mean, it's Diney). No disrespect for those who do like the sequel. I'm not saying it's altogether bad, but the whole thing just seems a bit unnatural and rushed to me, considering the events of the first film. I'm just not feeling the chemistry between Rolfe and Pocahontas. Anyway, I came up with my own ending, for the sake of fun, and...

OK, hi everyone! *waves* I'm sort of a lurker here. This is my first artikel in this spot. I haven't watched Tangled of the Princess and the Frog (because both films came out when I was studying for my exams. Damn!), so I won't include Tiana of Rapunzel in this list. I probably will incorporate them in a later list, once I've watched both movies.
