This was the very first historical cartoon that I watched, I did not know about her real-life story after reading about her in Times Magazine a few months after watching the film in Singapore.
It wasn't until that I read meer about her as time goes door that I finally understood her real-life more, she died sadly on her way back to Virginia.
Disney fictionalised her story, door making her fall in love with John Smith. Aside from saving him from being executed door her father, Chief Powhatan.
Anastasia
In 1998, this film would become my seconde Historical film and it was a non-Disney film. Anastasia was rumoured to survive the 1918 family massacre in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
Anna Anderson claimed to be her, but her DNA did not match to UK's Prince Philip, who is a blood relative to the Romanov.
Don Bluth, a former Disney animator fictionalised her in this 1997 film. She feels in love with a servant boy name Dmitri, who would later be a con man with Vladimir to find out the real Anastasia from her Danish grandmother, who is staying in Paris, France during the majority of the story.
A Real Love of Tragic Story?
So, which of these 2 films fit in these categories? I would personally think that it is both.

We've come to the big one. I hear Belle called a Mary Sue a lot, meer than any other princess aside from maybe Rapunzel.
Unique traits without contacts of hair dye- No. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
An odd name- No. 'Belle' isn't that odd of a name.
Looks constantly commentaar gegeven on- God yes. The town literally sings an entire song about it (along with how odd she is). It's literally in the titel of the movie, along with her name. 1.
Multiple characters falling for her- Yep. Beast and Gaston, plus the whole town calling her beautiful. 1.

I'm not strictly doing these in chronological order, it's just a coincidence that I chose Ariel next. u might think Ariel isn't a Mary Sue because of her obvious flaws that a lot people hate her for, but I think she still could be. Mary Sues can have flaws (hence why that trait doesn't just say "No flaws" and nothing else). So let's see.

Wow, I'm on a role with these tests. I look up clips from the films for these (though I don't have enough patience to watch the full movies, just the parts relating to the traits). I found the whole of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves on Youtube...presumably. It was just a cut and edited version of the movie played multiple times to make it look like the full movie. Still, it gave me enough information.

After doing the meer modern princesses, I switched to the classics, who are accused of being Mary Sues a lot. (I might not do ones for Merida and Tiana, since they pretty obviously aren't Mary Sues). Starting with Cinderella.

Her eyes are violet in this pic, but what about the scene she woke up from sleeping? She had blue eyes. And what about the scene she was dancing? She had black eyes.
