Hello ! I thought a lijst of the DPs and what I like/dislike about them would be a good way to introduce myself to this club, so here it is ! Making this list, I was surprised at how difficult it was. I have a few princesses I dislike, but I really love most of them and it was hard to class them all. Some of them seem too low when I look at their rank, but then when I actually try to put them higher I realize I love the ones above just as much !

N°11: ARIEL

One of the only two princesses I actually dislike. She's a spoiled child who only thinks of herself, which would be fine if it was supposed to be a character flaw she'd eventually overcome, but no, she stays that way until the end of the movie. Out of all the Disney princesses, she's easily the one who's had it the easiest, and yet she's the one who complains the most ! It also doesn't help that I can't relate to any of her dreams - living amongst the humans, making her prince fall in love with her, etc.

N°10: JASMINE

As a kid, I hated Jasmine. I found her annoying, spoiled, bratty. Looking back on it I was probably a little too harsh on her, and I wouldn't call her any of those names anymore - well, except for spoiled I guess - but I still can't bring myself to like her. She spends most of her screentime complaining when she's one of the luckiest people in the movie ! I even wanted to put jasmijn last when I first made this list, but as I was writing it I realized that Jasmine, unlike Ariel, does grow a little throughout the movie - meeting Aladdin and going in the streets of Agrabah make her realize how her people are treated, and that's something I can respect. jasmijn also has an arranged marriage to deal with, and I can sympathize with her desire to marry for love and not have to settle for a man who thinks of her as a tool to have babies and a crown.

N°09: AURORA

This one I don't dislike, but I can't say I like her either. She's just... there. She's not really the protagonist of the movie - the ones who do everything are the fairies - and she has very little screentime. The only things that really happen to her are meeting her prince and touching that needle, but considering she's hypnotized during that scene I can't blame her for that. She seems kind enough and the way she interacts with her aunts makes me think she has a bit of a teasing streak, but that's not enough to make her stand out to me. I find Aurora simply boring, just like her movie.

N°08: POCAHONTAS

This one is a princess I like ! Pocahontas is such a good person, I like how free-spirited and independent she is. As a child I was a bit soured on her because of Pocahontas 2 which I really disliked, but now I just pretend that movie doesn't exist. It's easy enough, I don't think I've ever met a single person who liked it - I'm sure they exist though. Anyway, Pocahontas is a good person and a good character, with both great serious moments and funny ones. I don't relate a lot to her - I don't have a lot in common with her and I don't think I could have befriended John Smith, much less fallen in love with him - which I guess explains how low she is in this list.

N°07: SNOW WHITE

The very first DP is a sweetheart, and I love her for that. She's so young and faces such terrible things, but she still manages to keep her head up. If I was fourteen and my stepmother wanted to kill me, I'm sure I could never be as cheerful and positive Snow White manages to be. Hats off to you, Snow !

N°06: MERIDA

As weird as that sounds, what I love the most about Merida and what finally made me decide to put her above Snow White are her flaws. I love seeing characters grow throughout a story, and as much as I love them, many of the DPs have very little character development, since they're already close to perfect at the beginning of their movies. Merida turning her mother into a beer is terrible, of course, but she ends up realising how wrong she was and tries her best to save her mother, and that's what matters the most to me. I also think Brave dealt with the arranged marriage problem much better than Aladdin, which definitely helps me like her better than jasmijn even though they objectively have a lot in common, but I guess that's a subject for another article. Anyway, Merida's a great character and I enjoy so many aspects of her. Even her animatie is really good: the way she walks and holds herself is so tomboyish and unlike the other princesses I can't help but find it endearing. I think out of all the DPs, she's the most realistic one.

N°05: CINDERELLA

If u open a dictionary and look up 'resilience', there's a picture of Cinderella right there. Well, ok, there isn't but there should be. Seriously, how can one girl be so strong? I have nothing but admiration for Cinderella. It doesn't help that she was my favourite DP as a kid, the one I thought was the most beautiful and the one I wanted to be like. I might be a bit biased because of nostalgia, but I have absolutely no complaints about Cinderella. I think that she's the only one in this lijst I don't have anything bad to say about - maybe Mulan too, but I'm sure I could think of something if I really tried to. Cinderella's kind and patient, yes, but she's also very dignified and has a sarcastic sense of humor I really enjoy.

N°04: TIANA

I saw The Princess and the Frog a few years ago, and while I thought the movie was so-so, I completely fell in love with Tiana. She's so different from the other princesses, I love her background and how it shaped her into this hard-working, no-nonsense woman. It's probably harder for young children to relate to Tiana, but I saw the movie as an adult and thought I had a lot of things in common with her. Tiana's kind but not overly sweet, she's grounded but she still has a dream she fights for. Her bond with her mother and her love for her father are both very touching.

N°03: BELLE

The most relatable of all, at least for me. The only thing I dislike about her was that time she purposely went into the West Wing - how stupid was that ? Other than that, I love absolutely everything about Belle. I love her when she openly mocks Gaston, I love her when she's gushing about her books, and of course I love her when she stands up for herself of for her father. Even her relationship with the Beast was well-done - she only started to like him when he became a better person, which I think is an important lesson to teach to young girls.

N°02: MULAN

Who doesn't love Mulan ? She manages to combine what people love about the older princesses - the kindness, the selflessness and the dutifulness - AND the newer - actively trying to make your situation better, standing up yourself and being relatable rather than an ideal of perfection and feminity. Mulan goes through a lot during the movie, starting as a rather lazy and lost girl and ending as a strong, self-confident woman. She's also very touching: the scene with her father at the end of the movie never fails to bring me to tears.

N°01: RAPUNZEL

So here we are, my favourite princess. To start off with the negative points, she's not as well-developed as Mulan, I feel closer to Belle of Tiana than to her, and she's nowhere near as realistic as Merida - in fact, she's one of the least realistic DPs imo. So, why do I love her so much? For many, many reasons. For one thing, I love her journey during the movie - from the moment she believes Flynn Rider is an evil man after her hair until she realizes everything she was taught door Gothel was untrue. Her relationship with Gothel is also part of what makes me root for Rapunzel so much: there's something really pleasing about seeing an abuse victim who realises how badly her abuser treated her and standing up to her. I'm someone who has a soft spot for cutesy characters which also adds to my love for Rapunzel. She also has a lot of funny moments, and her beautiful appearance doesn't hurt. I also love how she always sees the good things around her: trying to find things to do in her tower, befriending the people in the tavern... As far as I'm concerned Rapunzel's perfect - perhaps too perfect actually, but that's part of the DP's charm.

So, this is it ! All of this is only my opinion of course, and I don't mind criticism of discussion if there's something I zei u really disagree with. In any case, I hope u enjoyed reading this lijst !
 Hello Kenny.
Hello Kenny.
Okay, since I had done with Enya. Now it's Kenny G's turn! Are u ready?

1. Songbird

Whenever I listened to this music, Snow White would come to my mind since she loves birds, especially during the 'With a Smile and a Song' and the 'Working Song' scene.

2. door the Time the Night is Over

Ella and Kit/ Cinderella and Prince Charming, I personally think it suits the latter meer because when the night is over, he will find the mysterious girl that fits the glass slipper.

3. hart-, hart and Soul

Princess Aurora and Prince Philip will dance together to this music, especially during 'Once upon a Dream' and...

hallo everyone! This is my seconde countdown in the series, and it was a short one since there are only three yellow dresses and one oranje dress among the DPs. Despite that, I thought it was a good countdown.

4. Tiana's oranje dress

I don't think this dress is ugly, but most users agreed that it was very plain, and some didn't like the color on Tiana very much.

It's not as cute as the others and it's not iconic like Belle and Snow White's dress. ~SarahCorine
It is also nice, but others are just better. ~hirohamada
Orange is not a flattering color on Tiana. ~wavesurf

hallo everyone! So this is the first culminating artikel in a series of countdowns that I am doing. There will be one for each color of outfit. The winning outfit in each countdown will then continue on to a final countdown which will determine Fanpop's number one DP outfit. Enjoy! :)

9. Mulan's roze and blue underclothes

I didn't mind this outfit. In fact, I quite liked the contrast between the blue top, boven and roze bottom. However, most users disagreed, finding it too plain.

Unremarkable. ~Silverrose1991

 Loving this movie.
Loving this movie.
Okay, I was watching the 2012 version of Les Miserables last night and I had seen the 2015 reboot of Cinderella last month. Both films have a common theme with each other: Forgiveness. The characters also play a similar traits to each other.

Cinderella

While watching this movie last month, I keep thinking that the story reminds me of Les Miserables! Aside from the same filming location of France, certain scenes and characters remind of some characters from Les Miserables.
For example, during the scene after Lady Tremaine and the 2 stepsisters called Ella door her trademark name, Cinderella. The...

5. Hillary Duff, A Cinderella Story
Despite it's cringe-worthiness and lack of loyalty to it's source, I still managed to enjoy the movie. Tween icoon Hillary Duff is the last thing that comes into my mind when I think of Cinderella but she made a convincing one at that. I think this spot goes to Hillary Duff mostly due to...

I have already done this, a few months geleden actually and I decided to do it again. My opinion has changed a lot, because a lot of people have made good points and so many of these good points have changed my opinion quite s bit.

13. Aurora

It's not so much that I dislike her, it's just I found her kind of bland in her movie. She was boring, though I enjoyed her sweet personality. I get she had to sleep, it was simply a part of her story, but I just didn't get to know her much. I know it sounds kind of unfair, but I find it hard to place her higher.

12. Pocahontas

I don't dislike her...

Hi guys, since Frozen has took the world door storm, this artikel is basically about my initial impressions about the story-line, the songs and music, as well as the art and characters' designs back in 2003, 10 years before the movie that took the world door storm.

The Story

When I first heard that Disney was going to adapt the Snow Queen, my first impression was that it was going to be faithful towards the original story door Hans Christian Anderson. Secondly, I thought that it was about 2 sisters who one of them discover to have ice powers, according to a prophecy, were separated since they were...

Hi everyone!

In this article, I’m going to compare two films from the Disney Revival, one revolving around a lost princess with magical golden hair, and the other revolving around two sisters, one of whom is a queen with ice powers.

Part A.    Which is the "better" movie?

Tangled has a meer cohesive plot and seems to me to have deeper characters that interact superbly with each other. Emotions and thoughts were successfully conveyed with an abundance of facial expressions. The hair animatie was astounding, but the skin and eyes could sometimes seem plastic-like of lifeless....

12) The Princess and the Frog
I'm not positive but I think this has a somewhat large fanbase on Fanpop? Even if it doesn't, I don't think that I'll ever adore this film. I'll start with the positives. I LOVE Down in New Orleans and basically the whole beginning. When Tiana is human, it's actually very entertaining. I adore Lottie, and it just is, for lack of better word, better during this part of the film. It's funnier and much, much less obnoxious. I like Facilier and Tiana and Naveen is hilarious at times, but the seconde half of the film...oh lord. It's so annoying...half the time I can't...

This is my ranking of the princes. This is probably going to be one of my harder artikels so please don't be rude.

12. Hans- I can't even describe how much I dislike this character. I hate the idea that the handsome prince has to be a jerk. One of the things I really hate about Frozen is that it mocks the love at first sight of the Walt era princess films. Yes u don't marry a guy u just met but I think most people are smart enough to know that, it's just common sense, yes there is no such thing as love at first sight but that's because they're fairytales and fairytales aren't suppose to...

“Rapunzel” is the kind of story that consistently ranks highly in people’s lists of their favoriete fairy tales. With a dramatic plot, interesting characters, symbolic motifs, and the underlying theme of the redeeming power of love, the tale certainly seems to deserve such adoration. Grimm’s version of the story is perhaps the most known retelling,
 Grimm's Rapunzel
Grimm's Rapunzel
although that may have changed as of 2010 with Disney’s adaptation, Tangled, a movie just as rife with symbolism as its literary inspiration. Although both are variations on the Rapunzel narrative, Disney’s movie veers...

After seeing Sweetie94's prettiest disney princess list, I wanted to make one of mine as well. I'm not really a fan of the beauty of modern princesses, I find them rather too doll types, somehow. So they are all ranking low on my list. Hope you'll enjoy it, here it goes:

13. Elsa:
Eh, are her eyes for real? Way too big on her face and her lips are so thin. She does have that barbie doll kind of look to her. She has an unbalanced face proportion, her upper portion of face is too big as compared to the lower portion and that gives her an unnatural look, imo. I quite like her hair though, snow blonde,...
