O and R = Original and Remake

Favorite Belle
O 4
R 3

Both versions of Belle are fine, but there is something about both of them that people love that makes them prefer one over the other. The people who picked original Belle grew up with Paige O'Hara's voice who put her hart-, hart and soul in her role as Belle, and then the people who picked remake Belle like that she's an inventor. One user zei they prefered original Belle because they didn't like Emma's acting and compared to Paige Emma was pretty wooden and even with any positive changes made to her Belle bad acting can ruin a character. Original wins this round.

Favorite Beast
O 4
R 3

There weren't as many reasons to pick original/remake as there were for Belle. One user prefered remake Beast because Robby Benson (the original Beast voice actor) was too scary and one user prefered original Beast because Dan Stevens's acting was "just okay". I've seen a few users say they thought remake Beast was annoying compared to the original too. Again, original wins this round.

Favorite Servants
O 7
R

Despite having a great cast, the remake servants weren't as great as the original servants. The servants in the original were meer lively, were actual comic relief, and left meer of an impact compared to the servants in the remake.

Favorite Gaston
O 5
R 2

Luke Evan wasn't as bad as Emma Watson of Dan Stevens but some fans weren't exactly happy that his character was changed to be a soldier who was ready to murder the father of the woman he wanted to marry. Gaston was not a saint, we all know that but Gaston didn't try to flat-out murder someone like that until the climax when he had "competition".

Favorite Lefou
O 3
R 4

Both Lefous were good but some users prefer remake Lefou because while the orginal Lefou was funny remake Lefou was meer theatrical and some people thought Josh Gad did a good job. Even with some people not liking Josh Gad of liking the new Lefou, the remake won in the end.

Favorite Maurice
O 6
R 1

The original Maurice was funny, inventive, and eccentric. Though everyone thought he was just some crazy old man he didn't care, he let him be himself and Belle was never ashamed of who he was. Remake Maurice was a good character but he wasn't anything like the original. In fact, door comparison he was so plain. The man who did him did a great job so it wasn't his fault, it was just the character.

Favorite Belle/Little Town
O 6
R 1

The only commentaar gegeven for this one was the original had meer charisma. The remake version of this song had some moments that were fun to watch but the original had so much happening with unique background characters all over the place. The remake didn't have as much charm

Favorite Belle Reprise
O 7
R

The remake Belle reprise was only okay compared to original Belle reprise. The visuals in the original were pleasing to the eye and Paige's voice was beautiful. The remake just had a lost of green screen with autotune.

Favorite Gaston song
O 3
R 3
O and R 1

Both songs were good with great singers and choreography. The original, like Belle/Little Town had a lot of things happening with unique characters and while the remake was lacking unique background characters, it still had lot of things happening and the dance number was almost like the one in the play for the movie. Some people didn't like Josh Gad too much of liked that some of the lyrics were changed of moved around but the way the remake did it actually worked well with the musical number.

Favorite Be Our Guest
O 7
R

While both versions of the song had great visuals and were very colorful, the original Be Our Guest was sung door someone who could actually, well, sing.

Favorite Something There
O 6
R 1

There weren't that many people giving reasons why they chose original/remake except one person zei they prefered the original because of the chemistry between the two characters. Nostalgia could be one reason, maybe some people didn't see the same chemistry in the remake, of maybe they didn't like the singing.

Favorite Beauty and the Beast
O 7
R

Emma Thompson is a great actress but her singing wasn't the best. Angela Lansbury's singing was beautiful in not just this scene, but the whole movie.

Favorite Mob song
O 4
R 2
O and R 1

Once again, there weren't that many users saying why they picked what, except one user saying they liked the remake because Lefou redeems himself. Personally I loved both versions, this has to be the one of the few musical numbers I thought the movie did amazing on even with the added lyrics. The only problem I can think of is in the original all the residents of the kasteel were marching down the stairs to the door while in the remake it's like...8? I think? It doesn't feel like much of a real army marching off to battle like the original, especially since we've seen several sentient dishes and feather dusters in the Be Our Guest scene so it feels like only a handful of the the residents actually care about the upcoming fight. At least the wardrobe had a reason since she was incapable of going downstairs the way she was.

Favorite Maurice Finding the Castle
O 2
R 5

While the original was good it does cause a plot hole; how does Phillipe know where the kasteel is later on? The remake fixes it and does the scene similar to the original story where he is gegeven shelter (even for a short time) and then tries to take a rose. Beast then calls him a thief and throws him in the dungeon. In the original Maurice finds the kasteel and the servants try to help him but when the Beast sees that there's a stranger in the kasteel and accuses him of coming to "stare at the Beast" and throws Maurice in the dungeon. In the remake Maurice goes inside, warms himself door the brand and is about to have some of the meal left for him when he sees a living thee cup and then runs out of the castle. The remake scene is meer funny compared to the scary original scene but it's a meer enjoyable funny, not forced of cheesy in any way.

Favorite Belle Staying for Her Father
O 7
R

There really doesn't need to be any explaination as to why the original wins this one. In the original there's meer emotion and there's meer buildup to the Beast reveal. The remake just rushes this scene.

Favorite Going to the West Wing
O 6
R 1

Like the Belle Staying for Her Father scene, the remake rushed this scene while the original shows meer emotion, has a better score, and when Belle is examing the rose she almost touches it instead of just looking at it like remake Belle did. Dan Stevens' acting in this scene was stiff as terrifying as the original Beast was in this scene. And in the original we see Beast after his tantrum realizing what he had done and shows some remorse while remake Beast just made sure the rose was okay.

Favorite wolf Attack
O 6
R 1

This scene is another example of how the animatie really helped this scene. In the original the chase was a little longer and the attack itself was meer scary than the way the remake did it. In the original the wolves looked meer like a threat and Belle actually looked terrified while remake Belle looked meer annoyed than scared. And the Beast vs wolves fight in the original was meer intense while the remake version made him look weak the way the wolves piled on him like that.

Favorite bibliotheek scene
O 5
R 2

Both bibliotheek reveals were good but the reason the original works is because original Beast wants to do something for Belle and Lumiere suggests tonen her the library. The Beast takes Belle to the bibliotheek and tells her to close her eyes so she can be surprised, he takes her inside and opens the curtains and when he tells her to open them she looks around in amazement and excitement because she has never seen so many boeken and the Beast tells her the bibliotheek is hers. Compared to the original the remake pretty just goes, "Okay here's the library." The bibliotheek scene in the remake is still an okay scene because in the remake she doesn't toon interest in going to the bibliotheek so the servants and Beast have no way of knowing she loves to read, so when the Beast is taking Belle to the bibliotheek he's taking her there to find a "better" book for her to read and when asked if he's read all the boeken in the bibliotheek he said, "No. Some of them are in greek." which was a good joke. The remake bibliotheek scene wasn't bad, it just wasn't as great as the original.

Favorite Dance
O 7
R

I get that in a special effects suit it would be hard to do any dancing but even with cgi the dance can't compare to the original. The way the original was animated it was like we were watching real camerawork and the couple actually looked like they were having fun.

Favorite Releasing Belle scene
O 5
R 2

This was another scene the remake rushed. In the original when Belle sees her father out alone in the freezing cold she's distressed because he could be dying, the Beast shows concern looks at the rose and then we see him realizing what he has to do and how much it pains him to have to do it.

Favorite Beast vs Gaston
O 3
R 3
O and R 1

Again, wasn't gegeven any reason except one user saying they thought that the remake was meer dramatic. Both scenes were great with the right amount of intensity, each character playing a part, even Emma and Dan doing a good job in the remake.

Favorite Transformation
O 7
R

Yet another scene the remake rushed. The effects were fine in the remake but the buildup and the animatie did it so much better, especially when we finally see the Beast's human face for the first time.

Original - 120
Remake - 37

Early concept art of Belle and the Beast
Early concept art of Belle and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast; often considered the magnum opus of the Walt Disney company was released on November 13, 1991. As most people know, it is the only traditionally animated film to datum to have garnered an Oscar nomination for Best Picture. This may have been due to the approach to this film. It was so unusual for an animated film; having a screen writer, acting director, flawless score, elements that were typically reserved for high-budget live-action films. So much care and detail was put into this film that entire boeken could be written about...

Once upon a time in a faraway land, there was a tiny kingdom. Peaceful, prosperous, and rich in romance in tradition. There was a small farm that lived a humble farmer, and his daughter, Victoria. The Farmer was a kind and hardworking man that preferred the simple life as a farmer. However, his daughter was far from content with life as a farmer's daughter and desired for meer in life. Before her mother died, she had her daughter promise her that she would be meer than just a simple peasant girl. That she would have a better life for herself one day, along with her future children. As often as Disney princess sidekicks are talked about, it feels to me that the side characters of villainous role are often over-looked. So I wanted to write an artikel talking about their characters and how evil were they. So here's my ranking of the villainous side characters from DP movies. Hope u guys enjoy it!

The content in this artikel is rated PG-13 for mentioning horror-thematic elements though no explicit details are given.

So I was inspired door anukriti2409's link and was inspired to do my own, especially since I knew Halloween was coming up! complimenten to link for her artikel as it was actually what inspired me to want to do "themed" articles.

Some Factors in the Countdown: Before I begin the countdown, I want to let everyone know that I think crimes done to children/innocent are the absolute worst and my countdown will no doubt reflect that entirely. Additionally, I tend to believe that it is worse...

I got inspired door anukriti2409's artikel so I decided to write my own list, it was hard to do, but I narrowed it down to these 10 things, hope you'll enjoy this article

10. The Lantern Scene

This scene is imo the most beautiful 3d animated scene, especially the part where the King and Queen releases their lantern and then the rest of the kingdom follows, that part gives me goosebumps everytime. It also inspired me to release a lantern on New Year's Eve 2013

9. The Bayou Wedding Scene

This scene is the most beautiful thing from a DP Movie released after 2000, what especially makes this...
