Personality
Belle is a young woman living in the French countryside with her father, an inventor. She's a lovely free-thinker who likes to read and go on adventures within her own imagination. She is not shy and is not afraid to speak her mind, especially in tight situations. She is very compassionate and takes care of those in need. Belle can also be stubborn, but she tries to protect people she truly loves and is very patient towards others.
Belle is a shrewd nonconformist for her time in many ways. The most pronounced is her love of books, adventure and knowledge, which the townspeople find odd for a woman. Gaston says to her at one point, "It's not right for a woman to read. Soon she starts getting ideas and...thinking...". Belle also does not care about appearances, whether they pertain to herself of anyone else. This is highly ironic, considering she is seen as the most beautiful woman in her village. In the song Belle, a woman sings, "It's no wonder than her name means beauty. Her looks have got no parallel."
[edit]Wardrobe
Belle's most common outfit is a blue and white peasant dress with a white schort which she wears throughout most of the movie. She wears a blue bow in her hair and brown shoes. Many fans[who?] believe that this outfit is based upon Dorothy Gale's dress in The Wizard of Oz. Sometimes she is featured with her hair down such as when she is attacked door the wolves and at the end of the film.
When she is outdoors, she wears a dark blue cloak. During her time in the castle, she wears a roze dress and a green dress. She also wears a golden ball japon, jurk during the ballroom scene in the film. In the Kingdom Hearts games she alternates between her ball japon, jurk and her blue peasant outfit.
[edit]Development

Disney hired actress Sherri Stoner to portray the role of Belle during development. They filmed Stoner acting out various actions and mannerisms, and used the footage as inspiration for Belle's performance.[1]
When Beast's key animator Glen Keane and one of Belle's animators, Mark Henn, were drawing their respective characters in the same scene, they had to coordinate their work across the country. Henn was at the Disney-MGM Studio in Florida, and Keane was at the animatie studio in Glendale, California. To keep the scenes harmonized, the animators had to exchange drawings daily door courier.[1]

[edit]Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas
Main article: Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas
A midquel taking place during the winter segment of Beauty and the Beast, this is the story of Belle's attempt to bring back to the kasteel the one ritual Beast hates most: Christmas, because it is the very dag that the Enchantress cast a spell on him.
Unfortunately, a pipe organ called Forte is determined to do anything necessary to keep the spell from breaking, because he thinks that if the curse is broken then the Beast won't be nice to him anymore. Thus, he proves to be an obstacle in Belle's plans. After several attempts to get Beast to agree, Beast finally approves of the idea of Christmas and allows Belle to prepare festivities, though he still harbors resentment for the day.
With advice from Forte, Belle goes out into the woods to get a suitable boom for Christmas, but she falls into thin ice and almost drowns. Fortunately, she is rescued door Beast, but he is angry at her because of a lie that Forte told him: that she was trying to desert him. Belle is thrown into the dungeon as punishment, but Beast then finds a book in the West Wing that Belle had written for him earlier, and decides to set her free. They both continue to prepare for Christmas.
Persistent Forte brings the whole kasteel down with Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 in order to prevent the spell from ending, trying to end everyone's lives. Fortunately, Beast stops him in time door crashing his keyboard to pieces. Christmas finally comes, and Belle is presented with a gift from the Beast: a rose.

[edit]Disney Princess Enchanted Tales
Main article: Disney Princess Enchanted Tales
Originally, when the first installment of Disney Princess Enchanted Tales was to be released, it was to feature a new Belle story and a brand new Aurora story. The First chapter was entitled "A Kingdom Of Kindness". The plot of Belle's story featured Chip getting in trouble with the Beast after breaking some of his things. Terrified, Chip runs away. Belle finds him and convinces him to come back to the castle, and teaches Beast what it means to be kind. She also teaches Chip that even when people are mad with you, it still means they love you. All of the original Beauty and the Beast cast returned for "A Kingdom Of Kindness", with the exception to Jerry Orbach.
Only one known song has been written for Belle, this song is called "You'll Never Lose This Love", and is available to watch on the Enchanted Tales Website.[1]
[edit]Kingdom Hearts Series
Main article: Kingdom Hearts
Belle (ベル Beru?) appears as an important Disney character in the renowned Kingdom Hearts series. Belle is portrayed as one of the seven Princesses of Heart, maidens who contain no darkness in their hearts. These Princesses hold the power to open the door to Kingdom Hearts, the hart-, hart of all worlds and a reservoir of untold wisdom. In the hopes of taking control of Kingdom Hearts to rule all worlds, Maleficent kidnaps her and has her world destroyed door the Heartless. Belle is then taken to Hollow bastion where she is held hostage alongside the other Princesses. However, Belle is rescued door the Beast, who escaped their homeworld's destruction, and the adventurers Sora, Donald Duck, and Goofy. door speaking to Belle after rescuing her, she gives Sora a new weapon, the Divine Rose Keyblade. Belle returns to her homeworld with the Beast when it is restored at the end of the first game.
Belle appears again in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, this time as a figment of Sora's memories of Hollow Bastion. In this scenario, she is once again captured door Maleficent, who hopes to steal her pure hart-, hart and use it to perfect her own dark powers. The Beast arrives to save her, but Belle, hoping to keep her hart-, hart out of Maleficent’s reach and to keep the Beast safe, coldly rejects her help. However, she is unable to hide her true feelings for long and sacrifices her hart-, hart to Maleficent when the witch tries to steal the Beast’s heart. After Sora defeats Maleficent, Belle is restored and reunites with the Beast.
Back in their world, Belle continues to live with the Beast in his castle, the Beast avidly protecting her and his home pagina from Heartless attacks, as depicted in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. However, in Kingdom Hearts II, Xaldin, a member of Organization XIII, sows seeds of distrust and rage in the Beast in an attempt to transform him into a powerful Heartless and Nobody for the Organization to control. While being manipulated door Xaldin, the Beast locks Belle in her room and his servants in the dungeons. Fortunately, Sora and his vrienden arrive and bring the Beast back to his senses. Later, Xaldin returns and holds Belle hostage with the Beast's enchanted rose. Xaldin forces the Beast to choose between the two, but Belle elbows him in the stomach and makes her escape with the rose, allowing Sora, the Beast and co. to defeat Xaldin. door the end of the game, Belle is shown to be with the Beast, who has transformed back into a prince.
[edit]Other appearances
Belle appears in the Kilala Princess manga. She is also seen in Disney theme parks as a meet-and-greet character.
[edit]Actresses
This idea just kinda popped into my head. Basically as the titel suggests, we take a scenario from a DP movie and analyze how the other princesses would behave of react in that situation. Today, our scenario is...

Entering the West Wing
Belle is considered door many to be one of the "good girls" of the DP lineup but she does have a bit of mischievous side and that shines through when her curiosity gets the better of her and she disobeys the Beast's direct orders to stay out of the castle's west wing.

Snow White-She'd gladly follow the Beast's rules and she wouldn't really vraag them either. While...

Yes, we're back again then we'll disappear, I promise!

Hello! This is our fourth collab artikel on here (we love doing these, despite some of the complaints we’ve gotten), and we thought it would be fun to do another one. This time, we’ll be ranking the most attractive Disney Princes (or love interests). This artikel is with me, former Fanpop user Sk8er__grl, and link

DISCLAIMER: This can get kind of hard to read sometimes and we're sorry, but we did spend time editing it to make it easier to read. Also, there's a lot of bad language, but hey, Fanpop changed their age to sixteen so...

Snow White - Princess Vera Wang

I chose this parfume for Snow White because it consists appel, apple notes and appel, apple is a symbol of this character. It also consists chocolate and it's another why this parfume fits Snow White so much. I think that fruit and gourmand notes fit her the best because of her warm, sweet, nurturing personality and her culinary skills.
I think that Anna and Su from Mulan II( the princess in yellow) would have this parfume as their favoriete too. These three are quite similiar personality-wise.
Other parfumes that would fit Snow White - Sring bloem Creed which was originally...

So this was a topic that was brought up a couple weeks geleden that brought on a big debate. There were people who zei a fat princess wouldn't be a good role model, that obesity kills people, that just because there's only thin princesses doesn't mean kids are going to worry about it, that the princesses have to be beautiful, etc.

I used to read a lot of boeken and watch a lot of tv growing up, mostly Harry Potter and Disney. As much as I love the Harry Potter series and Disney movies, the way fat people are depicted is really upsetting. I mean there's Dudley who's described as being as fat as...

Here we go, from least favoriete to favorite, here's the Mother's dag countdown results! I know mother's dag was two days geleden but I'm not waiting a whole jaar to put up the artikel so here we go :)

13. Evil Queen
So it's pretty obvious why she was taken out first; She forced her stepdaughter to be a scullery maid and tried to have her killed (twice) just because she was jealous of how beautiful Snow White was.

12. Lady Tremaine
Again, pretty obvious why she was taken out early. Like Snow White, Cinderella's stepmother forced her to be a maid. But unlike Snow White at least Tremaine...

Okay we've officially finished the countdown so as promised here's the artikel featuring the results! This artikel will not only toon the results, each scene will include my thoughts, the thoughts of the participants, and there will be comparisons to the last time I did this countdown!

Here we go!

10. Merida crying and saying sorry to her mom
Original placement: none (it wasn't in the last countdown)
I've had mixed commentaren about this scene. There were people who zei they thought this scene was sad because Merida thought she lost her mom forever but then other people zei that Merida should...

People tend to get caught up in preconceived notions of a character based on their appearance of other surface level factors.

A prime example of this would be Snow White, people see her soft petite features, hear her high pitched voice and listen to her sing about a finding love, and they automatically assume she’s a docile weak passive shy individual. While Snow White is definitely a bit calmer and meer carefree, she’s far from the most passive princess. After surviving a deadly encounter and knowing her life is still in danger, she gets picks her herself up rather quickly. Once she finds...

Here is a lijst of my best DP role models. The most important thing to note here is that this is very much a subjective, rather than objective, list. Rather than trying to rank the princesses according to who I think is the best role model for children of other people in general, the ranking is purely according to how they serve me personally as role models.

11. Aurora

Perhaps not surprisingly, Aurora lands herself at the bottom of this list. She is gentle and kind, which are definitely qualities I appreciate, however she has little else to offer in terms of being a role model. Let's say...

11. Cinderella

This was one of the easiest. Despite being the first DP movie I've ever seen, it is also the only DP movie with no aspects I enjoy. I don't like the characters, animatie of songs. I find nothing enjoyable about this movie and I have no desire to re-watch it. I don't hate this movie but I wouldn't say I like it either. My least favoriete DP movie wth no doubt. There are adaptation of this fairytale I like more.

10. Sleeping Beauty

I love its animation, it's gorgeous and one of the best in Disney history. I feel like artistic style of Pocahontas was inspired door SB and...

A bit of a disclaimer:I think the main issue with ranking Elsa's favoriete princesses is how mysterious her character truly is giving that it is drowning in anxieties and fears, and is also frankly meer of a cardboard character- easier to project onto then to discern an actual personality. There are also 3 different Elsa's throughout the film- beginning movie Elsa, who is in control but paralyzed door fear, middle-movie Elsa who is on a high of letting her emotions take over and end movie Elsa who now understands that her emotions and powers can be controlled through "love" but is still practical...

Thanks to the ones who have recently commentaar gegeven on my artikels :D. So, despite I have a lot of interests, I never get bored on picking mine and my friend’s Zodiac sign traits. I’m Sagittarius because I was born on 8th December. So now, let’s get started!

Snow White – Cancer

Popular Opinion, duh! She is Def a Cancer girl! Cancer people are kind, sweet, plucky, loyal, emotional and motherly. Emotionally grounded and fair to all, Snow White inspires us to always make the best out of a bad situation. The way she cares for the dwarves represents Cancer’s kind, cute and compassionate...

Tiaras....tiaras.....tiaras. Real princesses have crowns, what are even they without that? Sorry, it was a bit sassy. Only tiaras here, so yea, the females who don’t have a royalty status didn’t get into this ranking. This is an artikel about prettiest DP tiara!

11.    Tiana's after wedding tiara
First kill me, then I'll wear it
First kill me, then I'll wear it

Sure it suited Tia’s brown complexion and is extremely unique. But, meh, does unique always has to mean pretty? I don’t think so. It isn’t very nicely shaped for my taste and this tiara is too small. Ugh, I felt it’s a weird shape...

22 LUCIFER AND POM-POM

Awwww, I actually like this couple. Seeing Lucifer fall in loves just makes him seem vulnerable. It’s nice to see him in that light considering his actions in all three movies. Although it was so sweet to see the kinder side of him, he definitely got what he deserved. I’ve seen celeb couples last longer than these two. Going back on his word and helping Pom-Pom attack the mice who helped him get her in the first place. Not cool.

Funfums picked Lucifer and Pom-Pom:
I don't like this couple.

 Party Time!!
Party Time!!
Since Halloween is coming, I'll write down some of the princesses favourite Halloween films.

1. Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera

I love this movie and I think it would be perfect for a Halloween party gathering for the princess together! It's about Erik, a deformed man living at the Opera House in Paris and needs love. Christine Daae, fell into a love driehoek between Erik and Raoul, Vicomte De Chagny.

2. Stephen King's Rose Red

The spookiness in this miniseries is the best EVER! I love Stephen King because he's very original with his story, it's base on a mansion in Seattle.
