	maryksand picked 3.Cinderella 3: A Twist In Time: I love Twist in Time because of how well done, suspensful and well animated it is (plus the songs are just incredible) and I like The Little Mermaid sequel a lot because I honestly was glad to see Eric and Ariel living happily ever after and raising a daughter together (and despite a popular opinion, I do find Melody adorable). But I just didn't feel anything for Enchanted Christmas, it lacked the magic of the original completely and it seemed rather boring to me. I might not be a fan of "children repeating their parents' actions when they're young and wild just like they parents used to be" troupe, but I thought it was quite well played out in TLM sequel with Melody, however, I have issues with Ariel's characterization there. It's weird that she would basically repeat her father's mistakes intentionally when it comes to the methods she used to protect her daughter when she clearly remembers how she used to suffer from such methods herself. But at least she did not come from prejudices against a whole different world like Triton did, nor did she make Melody be scared of her, Ariel was afraid of a defined threat which was Morgana and she didn't let Melody get close to the sea not because she was against an entirely different world and culture and believed that everything different must be dangerous (or expect her daughter to share the same opinion and judgement), but because Morgana directly tried to kidnap and harm Melody once and it was a concrete danger that Ariel tried to protect Melody from. posted een jaar geleden.
