I would have been still bothered about the Disney Pixar mix-up, though since Tangled is based on a real fairy tale, I would have been less bothered....but then, if Pixar had made this one, it would have been very different, so who knows.

People still don't like Rapunzel in the line up because she CGI

I don't care about her being CGI, but I do know why many people did not like her as a DP. She would have gotten the same amount of criticism as Merida if she were Pixar

but not as mad as Merida, since Punz i the classic princess. Songs, a love interest and all.

Maybe, since a few fans don't agree to Merida becoming a DP because she's Disney-Pixar, won't they do the same with Rapunzel?

The animation would have been worse. Just take a look at Merida's head shape. Then look at Rapunzel. Clearly, Disney knows his stuff. I don't know why they've worked with Pixar in Brave.
