I don't think they're that funny or original (they repeat the same jokes over and over again), and they portray the princesses in a very shallow and negative light (except the modern ones, Rapunzel and Elsa are always portrayed accurately to their original characterizations and as being the only sane ones of the group).

I know it's satire and satire always mocks the subject in question, but they always get the girls' personalities wrong (except the beloved modern ones like Elsa). Snow is promiscuous, Cinderella a clean freak who depends on men for everything, Belle is an abused housewife who can "change" her man, etc etc.

And even Elsa is changed from being this scared anxious woman in the original to this sassy girly-hating "oh i'm so much better than all you stupid girly girls because i don't need a man HAH!" special snowflake who thinks she's the greatest thing ever.

Not to mention the way they depict the non-white princesses at times is borderline racist.

I agree. although I don't think Elsa always is- that one with Elsa telling the others "LOL YOU MORONS DON'T NEED A MAN YOU KNOW" was pretty OOC to me. I have no idea why people think Elsa is so against marriage or whatever. She's not, it was just not important to her story. At best Merida should have been the logical choice (even then she also doesn't hate men or anything).

but otherwise yeah. The old princesses are usually stupid, Aurora just sleeps (and what was with that one calling her a spoiled brat for?), Jasmine has no personality at all, Mulan is a tomboy who loves to fight, Pocahontas is often the same way and not very peaceful at all. But at least more often now they're not portrayed Snow as mentally retarded as most people love doing.

That Robot Chicken one did start out as funny but then it ended up as stupid as RC parodies like this often are- showing that the Princesses/Baby-Sitters Club girls/whatever are actually violent jerks.

They are very shallow, make the Princesses seem stupid, when ALL the princesses have great qualities and are smart Snow White - Elsa and Anna.
