Mel Gibson before all that trouble.He was amzing as John Smith and even looked like him in away except John had blonde hair and Mel don't.But if Mel hair was same color he would.I noticed in the movie alot that John has lots of Mel expressions.Mel even said something similar to that during the making of the movie I seen on my Pocahontas DVD. I couldn't pick someone better to play John then him! It would've been nice if he did John in the sequel but couldn't so it was lend to his brother.You couldn't tell much difference in thier voices but thier was still little difference.I still think Mel was better of John then his brother was in the sequel.But I hate that Disney distroyed Johns charcter in the sequel! But that's for another topic!

Pocahontas1Fan i agree.I noticed lots of his expressions,too. I think i can say that because i have seen many many many movies of him.I'd love if he had voiced John Smith in the sequel but that's another reason why John Smith (my favorite disney hero of all the time) is FAKE FAKE FAKE in the sequel!
