This was never clear to me... I think after Ariel caused the death of Flotsam and Jetsam, Ursula really intented to kill her. But I have my doubts : P

that is not to say i wouldn't be surprised if she ment to kill her, i just think that if she was gonna kill ariel she would also kill tritent

The whole worm thing was only for the contract. Once Ursula herself got hold of the trident, she uses it to kill. She doesn't use it to turn people into worms.

I'm not sure. I wouldn't be surprised if she did one of those two but I don't think she was. According to the contract she couldn't harm Ariel or she'd lose the power of the tritent and the crown. So she'd be stupid to violate her own contract. So I'm not sure what she was trying to do.
"Don't fool with me ya little brat! Contract or not I'll....." she was tempted too but it seemed like it would violate her contract causing her to lose her power.

Oooh, I didn't notice that. But Ursula still seemed like she was trying to kill Ariel inside the whirlpool with the trident, not just toying with her.

Now I remember! When Eric dives into the sea to save Ariel, Ursula attacks him with the trident, and Ariel makes her shoot the Trident's magic in Flotsam and Jestam... And they were simply destroyed... But in that situation Ursula (REALLY) tried to kill Eric, not Ariel, so what KatarataLover said is still valid. (Don't notice my bad writing, I'm brazilian)

It could be the worms, really. That or murder her -- but that wouldn't be as much of a kick in the face to Triton, really. And she wanted to make Triton suffer.

Ursula was really angry after she lost her Eels. So Out of revenge. She could have to tackle Ariel to the ground. And got Right On top of her. And then put the arm of The triton on her throat To try to choke her for her eels
