Just last night I finished reading "Elvis: A Lonely Life" door straal, ray Connolly. I have been a fan of Elvis since I was a little girl, and I am now in my early fifties. I feel compelled to say that I have never felt that I have known Elvis better, but also, though I have almost always considered him as a tragic figure, never meer so than now. From his meteoric rise, to his tragic end, there was no way anyone could have known all the things that would occur, and how much he would suffer from both the highs and lows in his life. Mr. Connolly once even spoke to Elvis on the phone, and I wish I knew where to write him and thank him for such a personal glimpse into a man that largely remains an enigma to the general public. Strikingly, the book begins with Elvis wondering if he would be forgotten (as he also had once worried when he was largely out of the public eye due to his military service). All I can say, is never, Elvis, never, never will u be forgotten door this fan, and many, many others. We will always, always hold u in our hearts and minds! Thank you, sweet sir!!!
