Lets all get drunk on flanpop!
Lets all get drunk on flanpop!
Yes, people of fanpop, today (April 4th, 2008) is the 1 jaar anniversary of me joining fanpop. To celebrate this I have made a timeline about my first jaar on fanpop, which will toon how it changed my life.

(Some of these are dated, some are not, and this is because some of the dates I don't remember.)

January 26th 2007: While looking for great Office stuff on Google, I discover a little site called fanpop.

April 3rd, 2007: I wanted to sign up for fanpop, but my parents wouldn't allow me to because they didn't like me giving out my e-mail address, so I decided that I was going to use a hotmail account that I never use to sign up with.

April 4th, 2007: My fanpop account was born. I spent a dag thinking about what account name I should use. I came up with tvman because it showed how much I love tv, and it also showed how much I know about television.

April 2007: I get my first fan. bwright

April 2007: I post my first video. The Bu in the Scrubs spot featuring Sarah Chalke.

April 2007: I make my first commentaar on the Lost episode One of Us sneak peak (the link is no longer around).

April 2007: I start my first spot. The British Columbia Lions spot (BC Lions spot).

April 2007: I geplaatst my first link in the BC Lions spot.

April 21st, 2007: I post my most popular, and highest amount of people rating for one of my videos to date, a video in which Jim is impersonating Dwight in the episode Product Recall of the toon The Office. Along with this I also coined the phrase Dwight Halpert in the process (no one else had used that until I did).

April 24th, 2007: I get my first medal in the Office spot. Most likely for the aforementioned video.

May 2007: Picks are introduced to fanpop, changing the site as we know it, for the good.

September 2007: I post my 100th video!

October 2007: I post my 100th pick

November 22nd, 2007: I finally get my first Die-Hard fan metal in the Office spot.

November 26th, 2007: The dag that I like to call The dag the Red Flags Flew happened. On this day, I had a total of 56 flagged videos in one day. In just that day, almost half of the video content I had toegevoegd on this site in the last few months I had been forced to erase.

December 2007: I post my 100th video Go Ted!

April 4th 2008: I celebrate my first full jaar on fanpop.

Well that's pretty much it. Not a lot of action, but I plan to have meer of a contributing role on the site. Here are my future plans.

I hope to get a laptop, so I no longer have to share a computer with people. This laptop will also have programs that will make it able to make my own videos, and other content.

I hope to get at least one of those allusive fanatic medals.

Well, that it. If anybody wants to throw me a party, I want fan pop, and flanpop, and as for gifts I want medals, fanpop attire, and lots of fanpop people. Ha! Just kidding *nervous/sad laughing*.
 Happy fanpop birthday to me!

What do u want to add? You're free to add anything u desire.
What do you want to add? You're free to add anything you desire.
I made a new spot about anything. The motto is "This spot is about anything that's important to you". It just came to me when I was hanging out with my friend James (WWEchamp) and I realized, I thought it would be cool if I could put anything I wanted on one spot. I thought it would be cool to just do anything I wanted to add. NO LIMITS! so I made a spot called the anything spot. So u if u want to u can now add no specific content. Movies, Sports, Politics,
TV shows, cooking, add anything u want. If u think i'm sounding like an a-hole right now that's your opinion, but I think I really have a good thing going here. So please take a look at the anything spot if your even romotely intrested at all.

so just type "anything" the fanpop zoek engine and your there. (obviously I know)

I wasn't sure where to post this artikel so I decided to put it on this spot.

One jaar ago, the lives of many people around the world (especially of the people in Quebec) were turned upside down because of the death of Anastasia De Sousa. She was an innocent victim of the shooting that occurred at Dawson College in Montreal, Quebec exactly one jaar geleden on September 13th, 2006. I just wanted to give her one moment of silence on this very sad anniversary and I was hoping u would all kom bij me in this. I was completely devastated when I first heard the tragic news about this shooting last year...

I have noticed recently that ratings on very great material are extremly low. I can understand videos that are of poor quality but linken like IMDb of fansites are being rated as low. These are what I have been calling "petty rates". If u have a problem with someone on Fanpop don't take it out on their ratings. Add your own content that u think is better.

When u write a soapbox of find a great image, it can be really disappointing to get a low rating. Personally, it makes me not want to add content. Why spend so much time adding great content when people are going to rate is so low and...

I'm just here to tell u about a new spot I made. It's called the rising stars spot. For musicians and groups who have a good sound to their music. a good example would be one republic. So if u know some kind of artist that u think should be heard post something about them on this spot.I personally like a band called The Hush Sound. They are an indie rock band who songs are joy to my ears. I put some of their songs on the spot check them out. And remember there will always be a new hit artist.

Kathiria82
First of all, I would like to ask why people keep giving Kathiria82 a hard time? None of u have any reason to keep hating on her. she is a nice person and cares about everyone. I think she deserves to be treated just as nicely as everyone else does, especially when she has made the all around most contributions on Fanpop. people keep going to her spot to say how its not fair that she has a spot. It is fair. There are spots for people on Fanpop that no one has ever even heard of and if they can keep theirs, Kathiria82 sure as h*ll can. She has geplaatst nearly 3,000 links, over 5,200 videos,...

Learn to love and not hate
Learn to love and not hate
This was originally going to be an artikel on all sorts of hatred, discrimination and prejudice. But then I had something horrible happen to me online this morning, and I decided that I was going to focus on one, simple, hate.

Homophobia.

In my experience, it's absolutely horrible. So in this article, I'm going to discuss why u should put a stop to it, and just go through a couple of small anecdotes, expressing to u how hateful, horrible and mean it can be.

Anecdote One
Blind Homophobia
When I was a wee sixth grader (okay, it was only two years geleden but still, I was even shorter than I am...

This topic may already exist as a soapbox but I have to say that things on certain spots seem to being rated one ster CONSTANTLY. People have complained in forums on meer than one occasion, no fan would rate something one ster if they liked the subject the spot was dedicated to, has anyone else noticed this on any spots?

It happens on the One boom heuvel spot, and others related to it, I'm sure that someone else is really annoyed about this!! It is really childish! Sometimes it is pages of content all rated one ster and somehow I feel convincedthat it is NOT a coincidence!!!

Can u please comment!

Okay, this has been brewing in me for a while and I think that now is the time to bring it all out into the open.... I speak of the burgeoning conflict that is the rating-to-comment ratio.

Lets break this down; On numerous occasions, I have added various linken to many different sites, and always venture back to see what people think of the link, of their reaction to it (be that positive, negative, of even criticism towards me). But over the last few months it has become increasingly obvious that people are rating the link, but leaving no comment!

The way I see it, its like breaking into your...

So last night, August the 2nd/3rd, depending on where u were, I witnessed a phenomenon I have not seen on the internet for quite some time, I've seen glimmers of it, hints and comments, but I've not had it so blatantly thrust in my face until last night. I am, of course, talking about unity. No, not unity against a 'common enemy' of a 'troll' as many people on the internet assume is unity, but genuine "I can just click something to make someone feel a little better" kind of unity.

You see true believer, I have a faith in one thing, 'The small things count'. Whether it's just a passing 'hello',...

 Yep, they do!
Yep, they do!
As a rule, I wouldn't make a big deal about this, but it has been bothering me for a long time. I understand the importance of correct grammar, spelling, and the use of the proper punctuation, and what I am about to say has nothing to do with this. I also understand having an opinion that differs with another person, but when somebody makes a pick of writes a commentaar it takes time and effort to do so. What bothers me is when people leave mean commentaren about how either their vraag is stupid of even how stupid the person is for making a pick. The reason we kom bij spots and make picks is because...
