Fanpop is so boring that nobody would even remember it once it's gone! This site is a total waste of time! :(

Though I don't believe that it's going to shut down "any day now". Are you just basing that idea on your own opinion of the site?

There's no way I'm gonna miss this site! I don't like it anyway, so what difference does it make if it stays for 10 more years or not? It's a social media site, not some family! You don't miss a site, you miss people on this site, people that you like and people who like you the same way! How can you ever miss a site?!

Well, to tell you the truth, it's gonna take me about 15 to 20 seconds top in order for me to forget all about Fanpop, when I get that note in my browser displaying Webpage not available. What exactly should I miss about Fanpop: all those glitches all the time, or all those fake friends?! This is without a doubt the worst social network in history, so how do you expect me to miss it?!? This network supposed to be all about people having fun, but I'm sure I don't have any fun on this network, no fun at all, not for a long time now! What am I, a bloody masohist?! Who would ever gonna miss a social network where people only find new ways to hurt you & to make fun of you all the time?! It's getting worse now, every single day, ever since all of my best friends left Fanpop. This is NOT the same network that I joined back in April 2017!! Back then, everything was different. This was a pretty decent network once, with a lot of great people who are no longer on Fanpop for one year, or even longer. Once, Fanpop was amazing and interesting, today it's nothing but a piece of rubbish!! All those glitches which occur constantly, making it impossible for us fans to contribute anything to our favourite clubs! Sometimes, I can't even upload a simple picture, or embed a YouTube video: Upload failed! Or, so many YouTube videos displaying a No Title label. I honestly don't know which is worse: this, or the fact that we have absolutely no control over our own polls & quizzes!! We can't edit anything & we can't even delete any of that, our own contribution!! What can one say about so called best friends here, on Fanpop? On all the other social networks out there, BFF stands for best friend forever, except on Fanpop, of course, where it obviously stands for bloody fake friend!! So, if you take glitches & fake friends into consideration, then what's left of Fanpop? Nothing! That's why I won't miss it at all! Besides, there is a lot of much better social networks out there, just waiting for you. I believe I already said it once, but no harm in repeating: I don't live on Fanpop, I live in Hamburg! My life would go on, even without Fanpop. I have my own life, my own personal problems, my own hopes, my dreams & fears, all this in the real world, just like anybody else. Sure I'm gonna miss my friends, but look at it this way: When this network goes down, you're not only gonna lose all of your friends, your wallposts & all of your other contribution, you would also lose all of your fake friends & enemies as well! Most people have no idea what does it mean when a social network goes down, or when it gets defunct, to be exact. When Fanpop would shut itself down for good, there would be no more polls, quizzes, articles, props, medals, caps, wikis, questions & answers, no more comments & no more forum topics. All of this would be lost forever! Without a website to support it, there can be no individual content, except, of course, the external sources, such as YouTube videos, or all those pictures & links which you could still google anytime you want, just NOT on Fanpop anymore, but elsewhere. I don't think anyone would even notice when this network would shut itself down. It could happen literally over night: one day you will logout & the next day there would be no more Fanpop for you to login again!! Every social network has a life expectancy of no more than 20 or 30 yrs top, even this one! To be perfectly honest, I don't believe this network would still be around for its round 20th anniversary, in 2026, but I could be wrong, of course. It could go on & on for years, or, which is more likely, it would simply shut down over night in a matter of months. If that new modern layout would soon substitute this classic one, then most people would already quit Fanpop long before it's gone for good, including me. How can any social network ever survive without any fans?? We already lost too many fans so far & more are ready to leave. It may not be long before this whole network runs out of fans! Social networks are going defunct all the time, no matter how popular they may be! Remember Google Plus anyone? Me neither! Nobody does! That's exactly how people would respond when they would get a simple question like do they remember Fanpop once it's gone for good! I definitely won't miss Fanpop, that's for sure. To be perfectly honest, I'll be glad it's gone because that would mean that I have no more fake friends to talk about me behind my back, spreading all those rumours & gossip about me & all the other users in personal messages. Enough said!

I’d miss some of the people. I’ve also been here since 08 which is over 10years so it’d be weird not being able to use it anymore.

Well, I know sometimes this site can be frustrating with all those glitches and deleted/inactive accounts, but there are still fun things you can do here and nice people around. I mean, if you really won’t miss it in any way and are always venting about your experience here, what are you here for anyways? Just for bashing?
