I just read a vraag that asked why people like Quinn. I have the same vraag only about Rachel. I HATE her. What's there to like about Rachel besides her voice?

First, she has this contagious energy: u can see genuine feeling in most of her performances, the heartbreaking sadness of the gleam in her eyes and the joy in doing it, all that is captivating.

Second, she has determination: Rachel knows what she wants and goes for it. She doesn't care about what anyone says when it comes to what she wants of what she thinks is right. She never, never gives up - and that makes her do crazy of hurtful things sometimes - but still is something very inspiring.

Third, she's always willing to help her teammates, even the ones who are never nice to her (Kurt in Duets, Quinn in Throwdown, Kurt again in Furt...). Plus, she's forgiving. Whenever she's hurt door someone, she may get angry, but eventually she understands the situation and forgives the fault (like Kurt in Hairography of Finn in The Rhodes Not Taken).

Forth, she is always honest, even if it gets her in trouble. Her straightforwardness is commendable, it means she is someone to be trusted. Actually, she is pretty much the only person on New Directions who seems to be trustworthy. This doesn't mean she only does good things, it means she'll come clean about anything, she won't hide important secrets.

Fifth, she knows herself. She knows she's annoying, she knows all her faults, but she makes no excuses for it. It's who she is and she doesn't change to make people like her.

And sixth, I find all the things u must find annoying, simply funny...

The writers haven't been nice to this character so far in the seconde season, making her almost unbelievingly insane... But I don't forget how she was initially portrait. She'll always be my favoriete character in Glee. And if they can do anything to make Quinn less bland, I might one dag even like her too.

Honestly, out of the bottom of my heart...
NOTHING.

Lemme see...There are a couple things I like about her:
-She has a good hart-, hart underneath her bossiness and controling attitude
-She's relatable (at least to me)
-She has a strange yet likable personality
And, she's basically a well-thought of character. She isn't exactly a stereotype (like Quinn and Puck) which is a relief.
One meer thing to add: her motivation to be something in this world awes me (if that made any sense lol). u don't see that much in today's world, and to me that's amazing to see. Yeah, she sometimes takes it over the top, boven (those moments are what make me hate her a little), but don't most characters with a passion do that too?

uh well when she first started out she was nice and has a awesome voice but she just became a teef after awhile

well. although she is annoying and all those stuf.. i have to say she is quite related to me. to be honest i can be quite like her.
and she can be nice and sweet and well although she meddles with stuff she means best in some situations. (while sometimes its just for her personal gain.)
also certain traiats she carries can be sen in a bad way can also be good like,
she willing to do whatever it takes to get what she wants which can be bad but can be good too.

and to be totally honest although i'm kinda like rachel in the annoying sense, i personally dont really like her. but then again. in the first season with er birth mom and all.and the storyline the glee writers gave her is part of what makes glee interesting.

i really don't know why people love her so much, most of the time, she's just getting on my nerves, i don't like her, i just about find her bearable, but why people love her is still a mystery to me.

Rachel is a really nice person. On the inside, I belive she's a sweetheart. People just never notice that. They don't know her so well. They make assumptions, even before they get to know her, they tell her how she's annoying and how they want to stempel, punch her. Because of that, she relies on her talent.. she thinks it's all she has. She doesn't think she's a nice person, of that she's pretty. Someone needs to point that out to her, and I think Finn is that person. She can be nice when she wants too, and when people give her a chance, just look at how she was nice to Kurt in Special Education.

I Guess many people can relate to her i mean she knows she can be a leader but yet she is very kind even though she can be annoying she is very determined. Rachel has been the one who has kept the Team together and she is the girl who has the pants lol she is the one who wants it more!

I have to say i was thinking about that recently - she really is annoying and she seems to be really selfish like in the episode where mr.shue gives quinn the solo and rachael comes in with tape over her mouth...i mean seriously!!! she's not the only one in their that can sing. That scene just made me really dislike her alot. But at the same time i can't see the toon without her even though i often want to stempel, punch her everytime she speaks
