Yes, because I can now prove to people that HP is better and I really do not like fangirls annoyingly saying things...

Because of all the Twilight hype around my school, us antis seemed like the minority, but coming to fanpop, I can see we're obviously not. It's also nice to know that the true Potterphiles have continued to stick by Harry, even if it's not the "flavour of the month" any more. Who cares? Being a timeless classic is way better than being a fad, hands down.

^ Couldn't agree more. I felt like I was the of a dying breed; being surrounded by Twilight fan girls was awful. Even my best friends, who are usually nice, get mad at me when I try to stand up for Harry Potter when they're bashing it. It's good to know I'm not the only one who deals with it!

I'm the only HP fan in my school. My friends are anti-twilight, but they hate it when I talk about HP.

Twilight fans annoy almost everyday. I'm always glad to see HP fans here defending HP like Mrs-Grint.

This is why people call this a "hate on Twilight club." Not everyone here is an Anti. There are Twilight fans in here, you know, like me.

And ToyletGnome, true HP fans wouldn't worry about another series trying to take the glory and the hype. I am a true Harry Potter fan, and I don't see why we aren't allowed to like something else along with HP. How does that make sense? Because someone likes HP, they aren't allowed to be a fan of something else also? I don't think J.K. Rowling wants her fans to feel like her books are the only things that they are allowed to like.

Oh, and all fans of Twilight aren't "fangirls."

^ I don't think Potter fans can't like anything else. If they didn't like anything but Harry Potter that would be, well, stupid. Potter fans can like Twilight and Twilight fans can like Harry Potter, I think I just worded that sentence really badly. What I meant is that there are a lot of people out there who just called themselves Harry Potter fans because it was new, cool, and huge, then they said it got old, so they stopped liking it. Those were never true fans of the series, they just pretended to be because it was "cool," and now a lot have moved to Twilight because that's the "in thing" right now, but most of them aren't true Twilight fans either.

Anyway, now that we've gotten rid of most of the try-hards and posers, the Potter fanbase, I think, is better and stronger. Anti-Twilighters and Harry Potter fans don't have to be the same people, but people who switched just because it was cool to do so need to get their own minds.

Oh, okay. That makes a lot more sense. And I think I just said something similar in another pick, haha, so I agree.

I think it would be nice if people who are fans of things just because they're popular would stop posing fast. They are the people who ruin fan bases of anything, especially Twilight. They're the ones who exclaim at how hot Edward and Jacob's bodies are and how the series is just "soooo amazing!!1!!!1!" As soon as something is more popular than Twilight, they're are going to say the same thing about that series to sound cool and edgy. The same goes for most haters of series. I can understand people who hate things for legit reasons, but there are so many that hate things because of their popularity and success.

I think the image of pop culture ruins so many interesting books, bands, movies, etc. People nowadays just want to be fans of things that make them look cool and not whether they actually like and enjoy them.

It's nice to see people sticking up for HP. Obsessive Twilight fangirls annoy me intensely. You know the kind, the sort of people who call you an idiot for disagreeing with them, and if you ask them why Twilight is better, they say its because the Twilight guys are "hawt".

I'm not saying all Twilight fans are like that. I have nothing but respect for everyone and anyone who uses reason to present their point of view, and doesn't attack me for having different interests from them.
Although, admittedly, I do find the arguments between Twilight and HP fans on this spot highly amusing!! :D

"Live and let live" is my motto!! :)

ok, well, I love both Harry Potter and Twilight so I don't have anything against either one. But I have to admit that Twilight fans can get a bit annoying at times

I'm happier than you guys will ever know. I'm so glad that I can find a place inside or outside the Internet to voice my opinions on Twilight without rabid fangirls saying, "HOW CAN YOO NOT LIKE TWILIGHT, BITCH?!" or trying to throw Twilight merchandise at me. I swear, this Twitard said this, "I CAN'T BELEEVE YOO LIKE A SAD POST-APOCALYPTIC VIDEO GAME CHARACTER OVER A SWEET COUPLE! EDWARD CULLEN'S GONNA' KICK YO F*CKING ASS, BEYOTCH!" and she threw this huge Twilight jewelry box at my head. It hurt too! And, to get revenge, I printed out a picture of this tree-like character from Fallout 2 and under the picture in the white part I wrote in Sharpie, "Harold. Still looks better than Edward Cullen." and then when I showed her she got all pissed and for almost the whole day I was laughing my ass off.
