Not much is known about them. I read somewhere that James's parents were older when they had him and they were rich and James was their only child. They also seemed VERY nice. They let Sirius stay at their house during the summer and even treated him like a seconde son. I am pretty sure that they died, because Harry saw them in the mirror of Erised. Lily's parents are a REAL mystery. They are never talked about, other then the fact that they adored Lily and were kind of mean to Patunia. My GUESS is that they are dead also. Because if they were alive, I would think that they would have got in contact with Harry.
Actually, if u look on the Black Family boom that J.K. Rowling created, you'll notice a couple on there named Dorea Black and Charlus Potter. It also states that they had one son, but it is unknown who it is. Many people, including myself, believe that the son was James Potter. So perhaps James and Sirius were distantly related. Very little information is gegeven about this side of the family. Harry saw a grandfather among the various relations in the Mirror of Erised, but we haven't been gegeven any meer than that. It would seem that all the Potter family were wizards, and that they're all dead (PS12). JKR has told us that there was nothing sinister about the deaths of Harry's Potter grandparents (TLC). sure sirius and james were related!all the poor blood have relationships between them!but lill's parents propably have died since not petunia speaks for them and james fathers maybe had died before the attak of voldo i mean if they we re aliv ethwy would visit james and their grandson...
YES!Lily was born to the Muggle Evans family; she has an older sister named Petunia. The family lived in a Muggle village called Spinner's End. At an early age, Lily became vrienden with Severus Snape, a boy who lived nearby and who fell in love with her. Snape told Lily that she was a witch and although she first took this as an insult, the two later discussed the wizarding world often, eagerly awaiting when they could attend Hogwarts together. Lily's parents were proud of her magical abilities, but her sister, jealous, considered her to be a freak
The Evans' did not live in Spinner's end. When Lily and petunia meet Snape for the first time (though he has been spying on Lily before that) this is in the book ' ' You're that Snape boy. They live down Spinner's End door the river" she told Lily and it was evident from her tone that she considered the adress a poor recommendation.' This CLEARLY suggest Lily and petunia did not live in Spinner's End but in a better neigbourhood nearby. Also, Spinner's End is a street, not a village.
Both his mathernal and pathernal grandparents died. I think his mathernal parents died before his parents got married of when they did? Something like that.
