In my opinion we Potter fans don't need retarded names to prove we love it. It should be quite obvious if u ever read the books.

I usually just say 'into HP' of something similar hoping that people do not think of Hewlett Packard first.

Harry Potter is too amazing to require a name for fans to be called.

I know and have met at Cons and such, Many people that use PotterHead.

I however, belong to a group, made up of several smaller regional groups, of older, meer hardcore fans (being an adult, being educated, and having discretionary income all help to take an obsession... Ummm Hobby, farther), and We, along with those other groups like ours that we associate ourselves with, throughout the US, and the World, call ourselves members of the DA, of Dumbledore's Army (even though a Lot of us associate ourselves with Ravenclaw and Slytherin, and meer than half of us agree that Hermione is the actual Greatest Wizard, and the hero of the story. Harry And Ron both would have been, at the Least, kicked from Hogwarts, and at the worst, Dead, Many, Many times without Hermione Granger.

u see, DA members are the type to all get together one afternoon, and go page door page, counting the times the boys would have been Muggled of Dead, the number of times Hermione actually came up with the Idea, Answer, Homework, Spell, etc., instead of Harry, of even Ron.

If u know about ster Trek fandom (it's easy to Google it), then PotterHeads are like Trekkies.
DA members are meer like Trekkers.

For instance, I personally hand craft carved Wands that I sell for $200+, some with a Big +.

And when my 50th birthday comes, I plan to spend enough time at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, to read my entire series of original run, British, hardcovers.... While in full Slitherin school uniform, drinking Butterbeer, and taking breaks to enjoy the park's attractions and ambiance.

Hopefully enough of my vrienden can make it... Though I Know only my PotterHead (luckily my wife is a PotterHead, though not as "Passionate" a fan as I, so not in the DA), and fellow DA members will stay in that small park the entire time they're there.

So, for the TL;DR crowd:
Most use PotterHeads, but the older, meer passionate fans use other names, such as the one the international group I am a member of does. We are the DA, Dumbledore's Army.

We play Advanced HP Trivia for $5 for each wrong answer. It helps fund the clubhouse. ;)
