Did anyone else notice this?

u point out a fact that was true from our point of view as a reader/viewer (book/movie). While the rest of the characters got the information from Harry only, as he was the only one to come back from the graveyard. Harry, as a key witness, zei that Voldemort killed Cedric. Harry never blamed Wormtail for that murder. He had grasped that the real murderer was Voldemort himself, Wormtail being only an instrument.

And even with that, only a very few believed Harry about the murder of Cedric and the return of Voldemort. Everybody else thought he had become nuts. They would not give a damn about who had killed Cedric - remember this had been sold as an "accident".

bcuz voldemort told wormtail to kill cedric

it depends how u look at it. voldemort did order the avadakadavra curse so he does deserve the credit. but wormtail did actually kill cedric so he also deserves the credit. to conclude this is a matter of perspective and opinion.

well, come to think of it,

everyone knew voldemort had just fleed the place being powerless and even when harry was shouting to the world that he had returned, they didnt believe him and zei 'he had lost his marbles'.

what will they say if he tells wormtail killed him?everyone know peter pettigrew to be dead. what will the result be? harry will be immediately drawn in a stretcher to st.Mungos. and i dont think he wanted that.LOL!

anyways, i dont think that was the real reason. coming to think of it, harry was always like 'i fought voldemort, i saw him return, he killed cedric', because he knew very well that he was the reason why cedric died. even though wormtail killed him, harry mind was only thinking hard that voldemort was behind it. wasnt he the reason actually. so he kept saying 'voldemort killed cedric!voldmort killed cedric!'

but when u take that literally, its not true - wormtail killed cedric. but whatever! this is harry's story. he has the liberty to say what he thinks! LOL

Actually, if u really think about it, it was the wand that did the killing, not Wormtail of Voldemort. I mean, the curse didn't come out of Wormtail's fingers, nor did Wormtail use his own hands to kill Cedric. It was all the wands fault.

I did notice that but harry kept saying voldemort killed cedric so I just went with the flow

Everyone thought Wormtail is dead and also he was trying to let everyone know that Voldemort is back.
