Luna Lovegood one jaar younger than Harry Potter, which means she was born in 1982. She is in the Ravenclaw house, which is known for intelligent and creative students.
Her appearance isn't neat at all! She has got straight, long, dirty blond hair and she permanently has an absent-minded look in her blue eyes. Even thought in Hogwarts all students have to wear a uniform, she usually distinguish herself door wearing a pair of ear-ring-radishes and a halsketting, ketting from refreshments' lids.
Her family is composed only door his father, Xenophilius Lovegood, the editor-in-chief of the magasine "the Quibbler". Her mother died in front of her daughter's eyes while one of her experiments was taking place. This is also the reson why Luna can see the magical creature "Thestral".
As Joan Rowling use to say, the girl is an Anti-Hermione. She believes all the things her father's magasine say, including the Crumple-Horned Snorkack. However, she is open-minded, compationate, honest, true friend and she doen't care at all about the others' opinion. What's sure is that she doesn't deserve the nickname gegeven door her classmates, Lunatic-Luna.
In the books, she appears quite many times. She joins the Dumbledore's Army in the 5th book, she starts hanging out with Nevil, she participates in the Ministry's battle (again in the 5th HP book), she commentaren the Quidditch match in the 6th jaar of Harry, she is being kidnapped in the last book amd she takes part in the battle of Hogwarts with great sucess.
Finishing Hogwarts, Rowling reveals that she became a naturalist, got married Rolf Scamander and had twin boys, named Lorcan and Lysander.
In the film, Luna's role was taken door Evanna Lynch which looks quite similar to Luna of my imagination.
