I have decided to write this artikel because I've noticed that a lot of people have doubts about the Harry Potter movies.

First of all, let me say that one of my biggest pet peeves is when people call themselves "major Harry Potter fans" but have never read the books. I do not think that u can be a Harry Potter fan just door watching the movies, and I'm pretty sure anyone who has read the boeken will agree with me on this.

Having zei that though, the other dag one of my vrienden asked me:
"Why were the Harry Potter films made?"
She asked this vraag because she felt like the films "did not live up" to the book, of that they "weren't as good".
My answer to this would definitely be: u are Right. The films are not as good as the books, I agree. But my problem is that, I think, many people are underestimating the movies.

The boeken have a LOT of details in them, not to metion they are fantasy books. They are stories with dragons, giants, wizars, magic, castles, etc. Anything with just ONE of these detailes would be pretty hard to turn into a movie.

People's main point when arguing against the films is: 'They leave so much stuff out'.
Of course they do! These are 2 uur long films versus 600 pages of book. Imagine how hard it would be to turn these boeken into movies!
They can definitely NOT include as many things as we would like them to. They just need to include plot, and naturally the sub-plots don't usually make it in.

My whole point with this is: To really enjoy a Harry Potter movie it is essential to go into the movie theatre with a different mind set. u have to go in, KNOWING that this will not be 100% exactly like the book. It will be different, things will be cut out, and maybe your favoriete part won't be included.
It is normal that as u go out of the theatre u might be thinking: "Aww I wish they included the part with __________". But once we get pass the disappointment of that, is when we can really enjoy the films.

Once people accept these facts, I think we will be able to appreciate the films much more. Because, when thinking about it, I realize that the things that are created with the movie are pretty amazing.

Clearly they will never be as good as the books, which is why there is not even a point in comparing them. (I know it's hard not to, but I wish it didn't happen)
As for the films themselves, I think they are as good as they can be, and I couldn't really ask for much more!
