Same. I didn't like her as much when Harry became interested in her, she started to annoy me.

I know many people don't like them, but for me ginny/harry always gonna be my favorite couple in harry potter, I love them

Most of my friends read the Harry Potter books before I did. By the time I'd finished book 4, a couple of my friends had already read book 6, and they were talking about which characters they thought would end up as couples. They were both saying Harry/Ginny was obviously going to happen, and at that point I saw Ginny as nothing more than a Harry fangirl who admired him as if he were a celebrity (that's how I thought she seemed in the earlier books, which was all I had read at that point!). So I saw their relationship as very one-way up until later.

I don't mind the couple. At least JK gave us hints in the books eventually, so it wasn't completely random. But it would have seemed more natural to me if Ginny had continued to just admire Harry the way she seemed to in the first few books, but never actually fall in love with him as such. To me, the Harry/Ginny couple is like a celebrity meeting his biggest fan, and then realizing that coincidentally they are soul mates.

I suppose it COULD happen in real life. :P

glelsey, I totally agree! I don't mind Harry/Ginny (though I think their build-up was very unnatural and unrealistic), but I think Ginny became much less interesting when she got together with Harry.

depends. i mean the movies, they are kind of awkward. but in the books, she's one of my faves! - and i normally think of it as in the books.

That's exactly what I'm thinking every time I hear the name 'Ginny Weasley' I love her as a character, she's really awesome. But I don't like her with Harry at all.

If you're referring to the movies, then I agree. But they don't seem unnatural in the books. At least, not to me.
