Presence:

“So here we are again…” he zei turning the TV in her bedroom on, naked.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” god, he could drive her crazy!
“Um, nothing… It just got so… I don’t know… routine… We always do it in your house…” he zei with a serious face and he meant it.
Why in the hell did she always insist on doing it in her house? It wasn’t like he didn’t like it, he did, but occasional escape from her dogs, which from time to time scratched on the other side of the door worried for their keeper’s well being as she screamed on the other side of the door they were scratching, wouldn’t hurt them.
“Well, I don’t know… The paparazzi don’t come here as they come to your house, I suppose…” even to her it sounded fake. But she didn’t know how to answer that question, she really didn’t. It wasn’t because she wanted to lie to him, she didn’t want to lie, but the truth is she was defending herself again. And staying in her house was a good defense. She didn’t know why in the hell was staying at his house so hard for her.
“Ok…” he nodded, pretending to accept her answer.
He returned to the bed after finding the channel he was searching and covered himself with a blanket, not because it was cold, cause it really wasn’t, but because he never knew if some paparazzi would barge in and get a shot of two of them. And he really didn’t want to see naked pictures of himself in some yellow paper.

The credits for Bones started and he cursed.
“Damn it! It already started.”
Lisa looked at him smile playing on her face.
“Do u realize we are allowed to watch something other than FOX?” she laughed at him.
“I am aware” he replied seriously, his attention now fully on the toon that played on the flat TV in front of them.
“Why in hell are we watching this then?” she giggled.
“Because it has Steve in it… u know, my best friend” he added sarcastically.
“Sorry, I forget!” she snapped at him.
God they were acting like an old-married couple. Which was really getting to Lisa.
She didn’t want to act like that.
And she took in what he zei a few minuten before. This was getting so routine-ish. Him coming to her house almost every night, them having sex, them watching TV until they drifted off, him leaving early in the morning sometimes before she woke up.

The toon went on and now there were Booth and Bones in the counseling.
“Is this a re-run?” she asked bluntly, hoping not to be upsetting him with her question, he loved watching this show, god knew why. Oh, yeah, she mentally kicked herself it had Steve in it. ‘What a baby’ she thought.
“Yeah… I think… Oh, here come the best scene” he answered his eyes never leaving the screen.
“Which sc…” she tried to ask but she was shushed. Maybe the toon wasn’t bad after all. She could give it a try.

And that scene Hugh was talking about came.

Bones was upset she drove her boyfriends away, Lisa silently scoffing at the thought of her having multiple boyfriends, Bones not knowing whether she would ever meet a perfect guy.
And there was Booth assuring her she would, that there was someone for everyone, that there was someone u were meant to spend the rest of your life with, that u just had to be open enough to see it.

Lisa’s eyes teared at his words. If what Booth was saying was true, when in hell was she going to meet that someone?
What she wasn’t aware of, was that maybe she wasn’t open enough to see it.

Awwwww... What Lisa doesn't know, can't hurt her, right? :D
