hallo guys! I'm done with my exams (although I intend on killing my bio teacher) and I can turn back to writing! :D

Chapter 15: Bound to happen


“IVF? Are u insane? I'm not gonna be Cuddy in the real life” Lisa screamed at Hugh in uncharacteristic manner just minuut after he'd told her his 'baby plan'. He'd never seen her that pissed.
Hugh just stood there, watching her pace nervously through their bedroom, waiting for her to calm down.
He knew she did once she'd stopped pacing around and exhaled.
“Hugh... IVF means that we gave up on everything else. I'm not someone who's giving up” she looked down at the floor, not wanting to meet Hugh's gaze.
He knew this would affect her just too much. Maybe he shouldn't have brought it up, but he had to. How long could have they possibly stayed in the bedroom trying to procreate before Lisa was ready to admit it just wouldn't work like that?
But she needed to know that just because that didn't work, didn't mean something else couldn't.
“It doesn't mean we gave up, it just means we were brave enough to admit the old fashion way maybe just working for us” Hugh came closer to her, and as he reached for her hand she spoke
“Hugh... I'm not doing that...” she gasped “Look at me... I'm forty five years old, if it's meant to happen, it will... I can cope with the fact that it just isn't meant to be, I won't go through a complicated procedure just to bevestig it hundred percent.” Her eyes started filling with tears.

It was just painful to watch her like that... Helpless and disappointed. He had to persuade her into doing this.
“Come on... It's just one procedure... If it doesn't work out, it doesn't. But it could, as well, work out. And u tell me u can live with the fact that something could have been but u were just too scared to try and make it happen.”
Lisa pulled her hand from his. This wasn't good.
“I am a lot of things,Hugh” Lisa shot him a death glare. Definitely not good. “But I am. Not. Scared.”
she yelled at him.
Ok... where was that Lisa he'd married? That Lisa which always laughed and made funny retorts?
Cause this woman standing in front of him was not her.
“What's gotten into you?” Hugh asked in bewilderment. This was something totally new, and totally scary.
“What's gotten into me?” she scoffed, emotions from anger to despair flashing through her face “Why does something have to got into me? Why?” she came closer to him, making him step back a bit.
“Just because I don't want to give up?” she yelled some more...
For a woman that zei she didn't want to be Cuddy, she sure was acting like her.
“IVF is not giving up... How many times do I need to tell u that?” Hugh tried to talk to her calmly, but she just seemed to get meer and meer kruis with him with every sentence he said.
“Oh, sure... But if that doesn't work out, then we're giving up. of I'm giving up.” she shook her head
“I'm not sure anymore. Cause, u already have kids, it's not like u desperately want another one. It's . Just. Me. Poor little Lisa”
She had not just zei that. She had not just zei that he didn't want a kid with her. How could she even think of such thing.
Yes, he already had three kids. But he DID want one with her. How could she ever possibly think that he didn't?
“I think u need to calm down, we'll talk about this later, before u get a chance to say something you'll really regret” he took one step closer to her, immediately regretting it.

With a sharp sound and a pain radiating from his cheek and even though he wasn't aware of how it happened, Hugh knew Lisa slapped him.
And that was it.
He needed to get out of that room before HE zei something he would regret. She wasn't herself, such things as not getting pregnant and despair surrounding the whole thing could do that to a person.
He wasn't going to let himself become someone he wasn't due to the same reason.
He was walking away from her, for now. For as long as she realized what she did, and for as long as it took for the 'real' Lisa to come back.

As he turned on his heals, and walked out of the master bedroom, he heard loud sobs started coming from it, realizing that he would maybe have to wait for the 'real' Lisa to come back for quite some time.



Yeah... never know what lies in the store for them... I sometimes have no clue myself XDDDDD

His eldest son scratched his head, almost like he wasn't sure how to say what he wanted to.
“I'm here to get the Emmy video...” the boy grinned nervously “.. of u and Lisa”
