Will was qualified for a wish because he doesn’t have a pituitary gland. Because of this, Will suffers from several different conditions, including adrenal deficiency and severe hypoglycemia. For these conditions, Will must take daily regimens of medications and steroids along with daily hormone injections. His bone growth has slowed even though he is only 8, and, if he is ever injured, he must be taken immediately to the emergency room.
