Do u think that Claude was cheating?

Me and my vrienden have a heavy argument, about Claude and Alois. Do u think that he was breaking the contract door killing Alois, before he fulfilled his wish? Do demons can break the contract at all? Is there any one above demons who is watching for them to obey the laws of agreement?

Technically, He still abide door the contract. The contract states that 'The demon connected to the contract recieves the contracter's soul after the contracter dies'. It never zei anything about the contracter dying naturally so Claude was simply speeding things up with the contract he made with Alois.
