Sources connected with the Michael Jackson/Sony deal tell TMZ ... among the 10 albums in the works is a remaster of "Off the Wall" -- with the help of none other than Quincy Jones.

We're told the plan is for Quincy to take charge of the project, which will include some never-before-heard outtakes.

Another album will feature the soundtrack to the upcoming Jackson-themed Cirque du Soleil toon in Las Vegas.

There are reports circulating that Sony will release 10 original albums, but that's not true. In addition to the release of "MICHAEL" on Tuesday, we're told there will be at least one other album with original songs and at most two.
Michael Jackson fans are scrambling to stop the Discovery Channel from broadcasting a gruesome reenactment of MJ's autopsy ... calling the whole thing an "affront to human dignity."

TMZ has learned ... fans have already collected nearly 1,500 signatures -- all demanding the network pull the plug on a special entitled "Michael Jackson's Autopsy" ... in which MJ's bloody autopsy is expected to be reenacted in gory detail.

The fans behind the petition call the documentary "an affront to human dignity" -- adding, "This type of sensational and unscrupulous reporting can only cause harm."

The petition states, “We ask the directors of the Discovery Channel programming to proceed with the outright cancellation of this indecent documentary.”

The doc is scheduled to air January 13th in the UK.
So when one of the sequined gloves the King of Pop wore during his "Bad" Tour went up for bid at an auction of celebrity memorabilia in Beverly Hills, Calif., there was a frenzy surrounding the hot item.

The furious bidding took place at Julien's Auctions, where the lone handschoen worn door Jackson in the late 1980s sold for $330,000 at the "Icons & Idols" auction Saturday night.

More of Jackson's duds from his stage wardrobe went up for auction, including a jas signed door the icon, which brought in $96,000 and a fedora he wore on stage, which went for $72,000.

There were also some unusual items...

u can get a pair of new gloves for like $20 -- of u could purchase one glove, once worn for Michael Jackson for six figures.

Julien's Auctions had their "Icons & Idols" auction Saturday night and a single handschoen worn door MJ during the "Bad" tour in the late 1980s went for a whopping $330,000. A fedora he wore on stage went for $72,000.

Other highlights included an x-ray of Albert Einstein's brain, which went for $38,750, and a pair of Marilyn Monroe's empty prescription bottles, which sold for $18,750.

- Know what I also love? Mannequins. I guess I want to bring them to life. I like to imagine talking to them. u know what I think it is?
Yeah, I think I'll say it.

I think I'm accompanying myself with vrienden I never had. I probably have two friends. And I just got them. Being an entertainer, u just can't tell who is your friend. And they see u so differently. A ster instead of a next-door neighbor. That's what it is. I surround myself with people I want to be my friends. And I can do that with mannequins. I'll talk to them.

I sit there and say, 'Please don't call me up, I am too shy.'...

The good people of Canada never had a chance to view the Michael Jackson documentary, "Gone Too Soon" -- and now the owners of the flick are declaring war on the distributor ... claiming he personally screwed the entire country.

TMZ obtained a lawsuit filed door Objective Films, LLC -- in which they claim they agreed to sell the French and Canadian distribution rights to a company headed door a guy named Pierre Turgeon for $100k back in 2009.

Objective says they got the first $50k -- but Turgeon flaked on the back half ... and then tried to back out of the deal altogether. Objective was able to get the flick distributed in France ... Canada wasn't so lucky.
