CoraCora (Barbara Hershey) is the cruel and controlling mother of Evil Queen Regina. She feels that Regina does not act like a proper lady and wants her to achieve a high status in life, just as Cora, a miller's daughter, elevated her own status through marriage. She is also dismissive of her husband Henry and believes he coddles Regina too much. She uses her magical powers to force Regina to bevestig to her demands. Cora causes a child Snow White's horse to become wild, knowing that Regina would save Snow. Cora then uses this opportunity to arrange a marriage between Regina and Snow's father King Leopold. When she learns that Regina is in love with the stable boy Daniel, she first appears to let Regina remain with Daniel. She advises them that a good parent knows when to do what is best for her child. Shortly after, she magically pulls Daniel's hart-, hart and kills him. Cora tells a heartbroken Regina that love is an illusion and that only power is real. She also states that she made too many deals and sacrifices to let Regina pass up the chance to be queen.[15] The fate of Cora, since her first appearance, has not yet been revealed, but Hershey will return in the seconde episode of season 2. She is actually the miller's daughter from the fairy tale Rumplestiltskin.

When I see Hook in the show, he seems to have two different personas – Killian Jones and Captain Hook - which blend together to create a character which can actually be very difficult to get straight in my head. Killian Jones is arrogant, rude and sharp-tongued to the point of cruelty. He’s also hopelessly in love, prepared to die for his crew if need be and brave and proud in the face of death. Captain Hook is all this and yet completely different. He still has a razor-sharp tongue but his words are edged with not just cruelty but malice. He’s Killian with a whole lot meer darkness at...

The Tallahassee Flashbacks

I believe that the writers were trying to create a tragic romance in Neal and Emma's backstory, a scenario where she would realistically believe that he'd used her but in truth it'd been a sacrifice. However, it didn't fully work, not for me anyway. My main problem with their relationship in the Tallahassee flashbacks is the fact that Neal didn't need to betray Emma to the police. It's implied that the shock of being arrested and imprisoned was required to frighten Emma out of her current criminal lifestyle, but surely Neal could have simply told her that he wanted...
