Two weeks had flashed door without incident, they were probably the best weeks the Animals ever had, Private found a rideable toy Jeep that could fit all the Penguins in it, and had a motor, so they had found a meer manly looking vehicle. Julien had exhausted himself to the point that he didn't do any nighttime dancing, since he had used all his energy in the celebration for Pennywise's death. Not to mention, the Penguins also found a man's wallet that contained $6,000, which was meer than they made from the usual pick-pocketing of the "I found a lucky penny on the sidewalk today!!" event. Private had a bad feeling in his gut that was wrong. No, it was not the 46 pinda boter Winkies he ate the dag before clogged up in his stomach, it was the feeling that Pennywise was still there, and still trying to find a way to kill them all. Kowalski had finished his latest invention that he asked Private to test it and put the wire onto his head, but this episode was a totally different story, so when the ordeal finally ended, the team was exhausted. So they headed off to their bunks to "hit the ol' sack" and find some sleep.
The volgende morning was the Wednesday of the third week without incident, but things were odd for the Penguins. Skipper had headed out to the Zoovenir koop to see if he could grab a new flashlight, for they had a horribly beaten up red flashlight. As he entered, he came in with a couple of Kowalski's books, one of Chemistry, and one that told about how Alchemy was replaced door Chemistry, and he set them on a zitplaats, stoel volgende to him, and looked around. He heard the door slam shut behind him, he then jumped up as he heard the slam, then tried to open the door. It refused to budge. Panicking in a fight-or-flight response, he then picked up the boeken and started to bang the door, he then heard footsteps coming. A human? He thought, and he knew he couldn't be caught, but then he saw the figure approach him, it had bandages around it's face, and was growling at him, then got closer, through his panic, Skipper held out the book on Chemistry and held it out in front of him to shield it from him. "Who are you?! Leave me alone!!" yelled Skipper, grabbing heavy items from the shelf.
He then started saying all the elements listed in a chemical equation page and zei them all whilst throwing things at the figure. "Germanium!! Boron!! M-magnesium, L-l-l-lithium," zei Skipper, getting meer nervous, then he threw Kowalski's chemistry book at it and then pushed at the door, it finally opened and he rushed out as fast as he could, not even looking behind him to see if it was still after him. After heading back to the HQ, panting he locked the fishbowl entrance with a drill and several bolts. "What the deuce?!" asked Private. "What happened Skipper?!" asked Kowalski. Skipper hesitated, then he sighed loudly, he knew what he had to tell them, so he told them everything that happened, the bandaged face, the listing of the elements, and the escape. "Do u suppose..... That It's back?" asked Kowalski in a timid tone. "Not that I would want to say no, so I guess so?" zei Skipper. "I told u so!!" mocked Private, "I can't lie, but, I TOLD u SO!!" He then bounced up and down giggling, only to recieve a slap from Skipper. "Okay!! u told me so, now listen!!" zei Skipper, obviously serious about the situation.
"Thats why I felt a bad feeling in my conscience, I knew it was still alive," zei Kowalski. Rico then looked around and pulled out a bomb and then pointed at the sewer. "Kaboom?" asked Rico. "No, if we go in after it and set off a bomb, then we'll end up being blasted to bits. Rico sighed and put his bomb away sadly. "So what do we do now?" asked Private. "We must warn Marlene," zei Skipper. Yes, they found Marlene, veilig and sound in her habitat, so it seemed. Skipper, being responsible for everyone in the zoo, then headed to Marlene's habitat, he hopped above the poorly secured fence and then swam across the moat that went between him and Marlene's rocky shelter. He didn't see Marlene anywhere, but then he looked back and heard Marlene's footsteps going to him.

[Skipper]

Septenber 3, 2019.

It was peaceful...too peaceful. Normaly I'd hear Julien dancing to muziek as usual. But then again, I was gone for 9 years. Maybe he'd changed...well, u never know.

The zoo was the same as when I left it. Exactly the same. Except there is no one crying and begging me to stay. And yes, that was my team who was crying and begging.

I wonder if they missed me. Do they still remember me?...I thought to myself. Maybe I'm just a distant memory to them. I sent them letters, but they never send any back. Don't they know that I'm comming? Maybe they're angry at me for leaving....

Skipper barged into the pinguïn HQ, Kowalski still close behind, his head hung low with dejection. The first thing he noticed was Private lying on the table, bandaged, bruised, and unconscious, with Rico hovering around him.

He made a B-line to where the young pinguïn lay and visually assessed his injuries. After deciding that his wounds although serious, weren’t life threatening, Skipper demanded to know what happened.

Kowalski began to explain how Private had climbed the boom to rescue the kitten, how he was so close to saving zei kitten, and how the branch gave out under his weight. His...

Skipper’s eyes slowly opened; his vision still blurry from sleep. He blinked twice to regain his focus. For a seconde he forgot where he was, he wasn’t in his bunk, and he wasn’t in the HQ. A brown figure lying volgende to him caught his attention. It was Marlene. He remembered telling her he would spend the night, knowing that his team could take care of themselves. He shrugged and returned back to a prone position and went back to sleep.

Fifteen minuten later he awoke again, but this time to the smell of vis coffee brewing on the table. He sat up and put his face in his flippers and let...

Three days passed and Skipper finally decided that the late night training exercises were not doing anyone any good. No one really knew why he had come to this conclusion, but perhaps he thought it was affecting Kowalski’s mind, as Kowalski had changed throughout the last three days.

Kowalski used to hate muziek and generally only tolerated it if it was soft and not repetitive and annoying. Now, he already listened to every record the penguins owned and even played them while he was fiddling with an invention. On dag three, he finally packed up all of his inventions and threw them into a corner,...

Skipper had taken his time to get back from Marlene’s so he could piece together the best words to explain his and Marlene’s relationship, especially to young Private.

He entered through the fishbowl entrance as he usually would, and turned to face his team. Much to his surprise the three were standing facing him, almost as if they expected him.

“Skipper I believe there’s something u need to tell these two.” Kowalski stated as he motioned his flipper first towards Rico then Private. The two of the stared at Skipper anxiously, waiting to hear what Kowalski was talking about.

“Yea...

Unfortunate for the zoek to conclude in failure. Of course, one couldn’t complain when two of the three penguins that engaged the mission had been lacking in effort. The third penguin, Rico, had found something rather interesting. A gray crowbar partially stained with blood of seemingly unknown origin. Normally, the explosives expert tended to slikken any sort of object that sparked his interest, which, in this case, was so.

Now, at this point, Skipper and Kowalski really didn’t care for Private’s case, much to the small penguin’s delight. And then, typically, life went on as it had,...

In fact, that night, Private had much difficulty in falling asleep. Simply the thought of a friend who was in need prevented the pinguïn from sleeping. He wondered if Rico was awake, too. He certainly hoped not. Private only wished the best for the regurgitating penguin.

Suddenly, a noise from below grasped Private’s full attention. On first inspection, it was difficult to determine what the sound was. Luckily, Private merely turned his head to the side and caught the perfect glimpse of Rico’s back. The heavyset pinguïn was slowly heading towards the television. This baffled Private, for...

Despite the fact that it was well early in the morning, the injured Private was gegeven a few hours to himself for rest and recovery. Skipper stayed true to his word, being sure as to give Private his privacy throughout the entire day. Having done this, the leader also granted the rest of the team absolute freedom for the day. Hopefully, this would give the other penguins some time to themselves. After Private’s unexpected disappearance, it was probably for the best.

Taking advantage of these moments, Kowalski chose to sit in a corner of the room, writing all of his thoughts on his notepad....

The rats lead Skipper away on the steel cage. This time he knew better than to struggle, he might as well save his energy for what was coming. ‘Well,’ thinks Skipper ‘I guess that this is the moment of truth.’ The sound of footsteps and the repugnant smell went away after a while and a few moments later Skipper felt himself being lowered down again. The cover is pulled away; Skipper blinks in the sudden light as his eyes adjust. In front of him stood Kowalski, Rico, and Private, all seeming exceedingly happy. Skipper was back inside his lair. The rats climb back outside chuckling as...

Skipper: Kowalski? Rico? Private? Anyone? All my men seem to be gone. Perhaps they’re at Marlene’s.
[He sneaks over to Marlene’s habitat, careful to not be seen]
Skipper: Marlene? Marlene! She seems to be gone to! This must be a complot, but from who? The only suspicious activity I have seen came from…[Gasps] Kowalski!
[Skipper quickly rushes to the lemur habitat. After much searching (even underneath the "RoyalThrone")he finds it empty]
Skipper: No! Not the lemurs too!...

Skipper: Kowalski, I never thought I would be happier to see your brain. How far are we from a new lair?
Kowalski looks in the cup and sees one candy wrapper along with a button.) At this rate centuries.
Skipper: We are depending on Rico and Private now.
Kowalski: No we’re not.
They see two penguins, Rico and Private, heading toward them.

A Penguins of Madagascar fanfic
Chapter 2: "Career Change"

Liz glanced at her daughter in the back zitplaats, stoel through the rearview mirror of her silver Subaru Outback. "So, have u named your little vrienden yet?"

"Yes." Chelsea held Skipper up. "This is Mr. Penguin." And then held up Marlene. "And this is Mrs. Penguin."

"No, no, sweetie. The brown one is an otter. Remember the story I told u in the gift shop?"

"I know she's an otter, Mom. But she changed her name when she got married."

"Married?"...

Marlene yawned. “Thanks for taking me to that Enrique Guitaro concert, guys,” she zei to the penguins as they drove her home. “It went a lot better than last time. And going backstage? That was”—she yawned again as if she hadn’t slept in days—“really awesome,” she finished.

Skipper chuckled from his place to the right of her. “I don’t think staying up all the way to one in the morning is a good idea for you.”

Marlene shook her head. “No, no, I’m awake.” She fought off another yawn and rubbed her eyes. “Tack as a sharp.”

“All right, men. I want a perimeter. Make it fast, make it wide, and make it where u can see everything, but nothing can see you,” Skipper ordered the team in Central Park. “On my mar —”

“Hey, aren’t u those penguins from the aquarium?” Fred interrupted as he approached them.

Skipper rolled his eyes. “Zoo, actually. What do u want, Fred? We’re in the middle of something,” he asked impatiently.

“Yeah, I’m in the middle of something too. I think it’s called Central Park. Anyway, I was just wondering, is that otter friend of yours...
