Amanda knocked on the door. Sherri answered moments later. “Oh my goodness! Amanda! u are soaking wet! Come in! Come in!” She gently grabbed her shoulder and pulled her in. Sherri was about Amanda’s height, with straight brown hair and sea green eyes and lightly tanned skin and spoke with a Mexican accent. She helped her with her jacket. “Oh Amanda! Your eye! Tell me what happened! No wait, first we must get u into some dry clothes. Come!” She led her to a bedroom and laid out some dry clothes and a towel for her and left her to change.

About ten minuten later Amanda emerged from the room in the dry clothes with the towel wrapped around her head. Sherri then took her to a chair that was set volgende to a radiator. Once Amanda was sitting she covered her with a blanket and gave her some soup. Sherri examined her bruise and put some medication on it. Meanwhile, Amanda just ate and thought about her last pregnancy.

It was about a jaar ago. She and Hans were so thrilled to hear the news. About six months in, she and Hans were able to hear the heartbeat. They’d sit on the couch, she’s have the end of a stethoscope to her stomach; Hans would press his ear against it. They’d just sit there in silence listening to their unborn child’s heartbeat. But sadly in the middle of her third trimester, she miscarried. They’d tried as much as possible during the last jaar to get pregnant again. She only wished it hadn’t happened now.

Once she’d finished eating, Sherri asked once again what had happened to her. Amanda sighed. “Sherri, I don’t want to put your life in danger. I don’t want Hans to hurt u too. It’s bad enough I’m coming to u for help. All I need is a place to stay with someone I can trust. I need to disappear soon though. And I need a new look. Do that and I’ll leave. Please Sherri?” Amanda pleaded. “Of course. u saved my sister’s life. I owe u everything.” Sherri answered. “Just tell me what u need.”

-------------------------------------------------------

Amanda just had the bandages removed. She slowly opened her eyes. The light stung a little after going a whole week without being able to open them. She looked in the mirror. The surgery paid off. She now had green eyes instead of blue, and she didn’t have worry about the contacts falling out. She just sat there, admiring how different she looked with straight brown hair and green eyes. She turned to Sherri. “Are u sure no one will recognize me?” She asked. “Of course. I barely recognize u myself. And we’ve been vrienden ever since we were hired as nurses six years ago. If I don’t recognize u no one will.” Sherri assured her. “Oh but Hans will if he got close enough. That’s why I’m changing my name and leaving the country.” Amanda told her. “Okay, u need to tell me what happened. This is ridiculous. This past week you’ve been acting really strange and u haven’t told me anything. What did Hans do to make u need to do this?” Amanda sighed. “I didn’t want to tell u because I didn’t want u involved in this meer than u are now, but I suppose you’ll find out eventually anyway.” She reached into her bag and pulled out a newspaper and gave it to her. The main headline read:

CAPTAIN LEELAND MURDERED ON DENMARK MILITARY GROUNDS

Underneath that, two pictures were shown. One was of Hans, his name beneath that in bold, and volgende to it was a picture of another man, someone named Alexander Fahlcon. The artikel read:

Captain Leeland was found dead on a military base in Copenhagen, Denmark. Sergeant Alexander Fahlcon was found at the scene of the crime and was tried and found guilty and was sentenced to death for the following morning. After being placed in high security, Sergeant Hans Gruber broke Fahlcon out. It is a mystery to where they are now, and there is a $10,000 bounty on both of their heads.

“Oh honey…I’m so sorry. I wondered where all of my newspapers were going. I guess that’s why u didn’t want to watch the news too?” Amanda nodded, remembering how she’d change the channel as quick as she could when the news was on. She’d just told Sherri she wasn’t interested. “Look Sherri, I need to go. I need to get out of this country as fast as I can. I already have my fake ID and passport. Thank u for being so good to me.” She grabbed her bag, hugged Sherri, and headed toward the door. “Goodbye and good luck Amanda.” Amanda turned to her at the door. “Amanda Taylor no longer exists. I am now Elizabeth Shields. Good bye Sherri.” And with that she was gone.
Petting Zoo

There was a fight going on. The Blue Hen was thawed out faster than Steve Rogers and challenged Kowalski to a fight of brains and brawns. The whole zoo was able to watch while Alice was kept busy.
When the fight was going on, as much as Kowalski tried to prevent it, he was getting beaten in places that a pinguïn didn't want to get beaten. It was a horrifying sight, but the most horrified was Monique, she even tried to keep herself from crying.
When Monique called a time out, the Blue Hen turned around feeling pretty confident about a possible victory.
"Seems like she's still expecting...

On the lead of Skipper, the penguins jumped out of their bunks. The screams contuined. "Skippah, help!" Private yelled. Skipper landed on his feet. The penguins got ready to face a monster, but what they were really going up against seemed to be a helpless little girl.
They leaped in front of the door. Skipper kicked the door aside. Each entered, searching for a threat on all sides. The only penguins in there were Celeste and Private. "I knew it!" Skipper thought.
"What happened here?!" Skipper yelled, shaking the lab.
"It's her leg!" Private cried pointing to Celeste, who had her flippers wrapped...

Gio and Private were out in the park getting some snowcones and spending some time together. They felt like there would be no separating them.
When they got back to the HQ, though, they found that Skipper had a postcard in his flippers for Gio. Apparently, Gio was the only one in the group that knew how to read, so they didn't jump to any conclusions until she read it.
"Let me see that," Gio zei to Skipper, who gave the postcard to her.
It had a picture of the Brookfield Zoo, her old home. When she was reading it, her smile slowly turned into a frown.
"What does it say?" Private asked.
"It says,...

Kowalski didn't know what was wrong with him. Obviously, Skipper's jokes on what he believes is wrong with him never helped at all.
Every night, Kowalski has the same dream, and he couldn't tell if it was from his "subconscial visiting pill" of not. In the dream, he's in the streets of the concrete jungle face to face with a young woman, who appeared to be a tomboy with wacky hair and glasses, they smile at each other as their faces brighten up in the moonlight and the straat lights. He'd feel her hair and rub his hand down her cheek, making her blush, and she'd gently pushed some of his short,...

Marlene invited Elizabeth for a walk through Central Park. Not wanting to be rude, Elizabeth accepted.

“So what was it like? Being a nurse for all those people must’ve been hard work.”

“Yeah, it got difficult sometimes. Especially when we had to break the news to the family when a loved one passed on.”

“I can imagine. So you’ve never been married then?” Elizabeth looked sideways at her for a moment, knowing she had to lie.

    “Nope. Always...

Dream

It was a quiet dag in the HQ. It might've even seemed too quiet for some and that "some" wasn't Skipper. To Kowalski, something didn't seem right.
He left the HQ for a while and looked around the zoo and everyone was present in the zoo. All except for one: Monique. He double checked the zoo, he even triple checked. She didn't say anything about leaving and she's talked to Kowalski about a lot.
What was also amazing was that no one else seemed to notice her disappearance except for him. Not even Skipper, and he always his parttime blood shot, highly trained eyes on everything. Kowalski had...

The volgende morning, they woke up realizing that Eve had turned on her other side. She was resting her head in his chest, and Skipper had a firm hold around her. They got to their feet and pressed on. They walked close to each other since the temperature was now -27⁰F. They tried to keep warm.

About three hours later, they came to the coast. “How are we going to get across the ocean Skipper? We can’t swim in this water.” Eve pointed out. Skipper spotted a boot far off to their right. “This way. We’re gonna commandeer that boat.” They sprinted in that direction, and while no one was...

The other penguins were sleeping, but Kowalski couldn't find any slumber. He was too busy swimming in his thoughts.
He was in his lab that night wondering about how the others thought about him for the umphteenth time. Private recently told him that he looks up to him, which gives him a bit of straal, ray of sunshine in his mind, and Rico just thinks about fish, last time he checked. The teammate he worries about the most, though, is Skipper.
For a long time now, Kowalski felt like he's been watched door Skipper, as if the leader was waiting for the scientist to screw up. He knows he's different from the...

“Skipper, we are going for a long time, can we stop? I’m tired” zei Kowalski.
“Me too” zei Private, Rico nodded.
“Ok” zei Skipper and they sat down.
“How we get back to the zoo?” asked Kowalski.
“Kowalski, u always giving options” zei Skipper.
“Oh, right...”
“Firstly, we must go out of this tunnel” zei Skipper.
“Ok, I think it’s late” zei Private and yawned.
“You can fall asleep” zei Skipper.

Fifteen minuten later
Kowalski, Rico and Private fell asleep. But Skipper couldn’t sleep. He wanted to be sure, that nobody attack them of follow them. Finally...

Kowalski sighed. All Skipper did while Private had left was complain. That night, he was extremely crabby, and when Skipper's not happy, no one dares to be happy of even tries. Well, it all seemed to be over, since he was heading to bed so that made the tension on Kowalski ease up.
"Rico, make sure Skipper stays in bed." Kowalski whispered to his compadre. Rico nodded virgorously. Skipper was lying down, drinking melk from his mug. Skipper's eyelids grew heavy under his sleeping cap. His eyes blinked for extra seconds.
Rico lightly placed Skipper's mobile over his leader's bunk. He hit each...

As Private woke up from bed that morning, the room was dim. Sure the lights were on, but the sky outside the window was darken. Moisture filled the air. Something in the penguins' instincts told them there would be a storm.
He found Skipper standing stiff in front of the window. Terror flooded his eyes. Rico was just as puzzled as Private. There was something bothering Skipper. Uh-oh, here he goes again.
"Skippah, what's wrong?" Private whimpered.
"What?! Uh ... Nothing."
"Is there something we don't know?" Private gulped.
"Listen, the night we came, Ms. Williams tookme into the hall to discuss...

She didn't think it would matter if she told him how different she feels. She does her best to eliminate traces of the past, so it wouldn't matter, right? She does her best not to be that angry around Kowalski, so, it shouldn't be a problem, right? She secretly didn't have a true motivation to calm down until she first met Kowalski, so it's easy to manage, right? If the world would go as planned, maybe. Maybe it does go door some plan, but not her plan.
When Kowalski entered their apartment after getting some materials from Brooklyn, he saw Monique on the couch, staring at the ceiling in serious...

Problem 1

Kowalski was looking around the zoo. He was inspecting the zoo on his own. He saw a shadowy figure in a hooded sweater door the zoo gates. The figure seemed to be crying. It was a bit tough, but Kowalski recognized the hooded figure to be Monique.
Kowalski called her out, but she just ran away. She knew it was Kowalski, but it was obvious that she didn't feel like talking. That didn't stop Kowalski from going after her, though. Although she kept trying to get away, partially using the roofs of buildings of dark alleyways, he still manages to be on her tail.

Problem 2

After Blowhole was...

She was just about 10 miles from Manhattan, but her car broke down. When Monique got out of the car, she was angry and sad that she kicked her front left tire while crying. Luckily, she broke down door a repair garage. Before she pusher the car closer to the repair garage, she took out her biker outfit and motorcycle from the trunk. She has been riding a motorcycle a lot to get her anger out. She put on the outfit over her clothes and put her helm on.
By the time she got back on the road again, she was remembering that night.
Flashback
She and Kowalski were out for shrimp. A man was talking mess...

It was an unusually chilly night in June. It was the 8th of June to be exact. Rain was pouring down in torrents, showering the abandonned trailer. The reflection of headlights on an occasional passing vehicle of a flashlight danced along the tin roof. A pinguïn darted quickly across the gravel road, his body slicked and shiny from the pounding rain. He hurried to the trailer, ducking beneath it and crawling down underneath. He slunk a short ways before thrusting himself up through a hatch in the floor above him. He found himself in a small, warm kitchen. He stood up, slicking the rainwater...

"Hey! Are u okay?" Fahlcon crouched low to avoid gunfire, and ran to the man on the ground hidden behind a slope clutching his shoulder. Once he got to him, he lied his gun down and examined his wound. It was deep. He couldn't even see the bullet. Blood covered his entire shoulder and he was sweating. There was sign of infection. "What's your name soldier?" Fahlcon asked. "Hans...Hans Gruber." The man answered. He spoke with a Danish accent. He had dark hair and hazel eyes. Fahlcon swung his geweer-, geweer on his back and helped him up. Half carrying him, he managed to get...

"Gin." Private zei as he put his hand of cards on the table. "GAH!" Kowalski exclaimed as he threw his cards on the table. That was the 7th time in a row Private had beaten him. "Oh Kowalski! While the other penguins fished on the boat, Private sat on the dock, sticking his feet in the water. The pinguïn felt the vis dash under his legs. A gust of wind nearly blew him over, scattering his Peanutbutter Winkies out of their bag.
Something smooth bumped his legs. Squinting, he peered into the water. An unfamiliar face stared into his. It was deeply sadden and filled with despair. The eyes were unforgettably a milky white. She was an astonishing creature.
Private was stunned. The rest of the team noticed.
"Private, u okay, over there?" Skipper called.
The shivering pinguïn didn't and...
