Another short part, sorry. But it my favoriete part, and Ivy finally reveals her biggest secret.
After about 30 minutes, Ru came back up. Kowalski, Skipper, and Johnson were playing a game at the table. Private was still daydreaming in his bunk. Rico and Rica were talking together, and Rica had finally started to understand her father's gibberish.
"Ivy would like u all to come down. She has a surprise, but u have probably already guessed," Ru urged them into the elevator.
They didn't need to be asked twice! All of the team crammed into the elevator at the same time.
They got off on the fourth floor. Ivy and Urka were in the blank room.
Thank goodness I put the spare bed down here, Skipper thought.
Ivy lay on the bed. She looked tired and stressed, but happy. She held an egg, her egg. Kowalski, Skipper, and Johnson hoped it might be their egg too.
"I know, u probably already found out," Ivy said. "But now u know for sure."
"Awww! Can I hold it?" Private asked his sister.
"Her. Can I hold her. And, sorry, but no. I want the father to hold it."
Kowalski, Skipper, and Johnson grinned, and gave each other glances as to saw 'she's mine'.
"I love u all, I really do. Please don't be disappointed," Ivy said.
Private smiled warmly towards Ivy. Her lovers also did their best smiles.
"Kowalski," Ivy said. Kowalski happily walked up, ready to hold the egg. "I love you, but only as an assistant in science. Sorry."
Kowalski scowled and crossed his wings. Now Ivy was just going around breaking hearts!
"Private, I love u dearly as a brother, so I hope you'll be a good uncle to my chick," Ivy said. Private did his hyper cute smile, but without the rainbow.
"Skipper, I love you, but as a leader. I know you'll still love me back, though."
Skipper smiled, knowing this was true. He'd always love Ivy, meer than a teammate of just a friend. Rico looked around. It couldn't be him!
"Rico, I love u dearly as a friend. I know Urka can appreciate that."
All the penguins stared at the remaining penguin, Johnson. Ivy had tears in her eyes as she zei it.
"Johnson, I love u so and u love me back. Now I can love u a different way, as a father." Johnson took the egg, and cradled her in his flippers. Ivy kissed him again. Johnson blushed and kissed her back.
