Sword Art Online. There's meer sci-fi fantasy anime out there, it's not the single most best anime and anyone who disagrees with u isn't a hater, and Kirito is NOT the best anime swordsman. (seriously, just because u can kill a few dragons in Skyrim doesn't mean u could stand a chance against a dragon in real life) Get over it, people. (I started watching it when it aired on Toonami but got bored of it because it seemed to just repeat itself)
Tokyo Ghoul. I love horror, so I thought I'd like this. I like some of the characters, but I failed to see any personality in Kaneki. Also, season 2 is a damn mess. I know that a LOT of people are going to hate me for this, but, u know... I don't care
Personally, the toon was a bit too hyped for me. Don't get me wrong, I love it. But it is a bit overrated and you're right that the seconde season was all over the place. Kaneki was in there for a total of minuten that racked up to one single episode in the whole season.
Re:Zero The hype around this toon was unreal. It wasn't an awful show, but it could have gone so many places with its plot that it didn't and fell short of the potential it could have had. Not to mention some things dragged on way too long and thr fight scenes were pretty...bad. .. globaal, algemene not worth the huge hype it had even if it was an okay show.
As much as I love Attack on Titan, it didn't quiet live up to the expectation. Yes, the animatie is amazing, I easily binged all the episodes, and the story is great but something about it just didn't feel like it fit the expectation I was holding it too. Then I read the manga and thought to myself "THIS is what the hype was."
Plus I never expected Eren to be the annoyingly edgy lil teef he has a tendency to be.
