So i would like to write about this since it has been happening very often now and i would like to share my thoughts on this very pressing issue .. all of us hav the right to criticize .. But the vraag is not how we criticize others of why we do it ... It is what if someone did the same to us .. Not everyone has the ability to take criticism that well.When we say something rude to someone it mostly depends on how they take it. Us fanpoppers have our own way of doing things and we are random who cares but we should not hurt others .Because of this we fail to correct our biggest mistake which often hurts someone else's feelings .Nothing has happened to me that I would complain about of noone has hurt me but I think that we should learn to be nice and not think negatively about everyone , forgive others and spellings and punctuation will hopefully not matter . To be honest ,some of us do ignore those mistakes but others look for chances like those .. Imagine yourself in the exact same situation and think as the person would at that time .That's why we have to at times meld people of say ba stuff about them while we should know always who started the brand ..

030303 Um I really can't help but to correct people's spelling, I'm not being mean, I'm helping them. People are just too sensitive like today I corrected someone and they called me rude! WTH!

thespikedturtle Okay, well you're really just making it worse by having bad spelling here. We fix these sorts of things simply because they can be annoying at times, it's not that big of a deal really. Besides, that's the easiest way of us cleaning up the spot. And if your approach is to take things calmly, then why do you care if people do this?

Athenabeth I'm on Fanpop, the people who are telling others to fix their spelling are on Fanpop, we're all "fanpopers". So you can't say "us fanpoppers have our own way of doing things". It makes no sense. Also your point might have gotten across better if you had used proper grammar and spelling. Now I have to wonder why people on here can't be bothered to spell properly. I sincerely hope you all know how to spell correctly. If English isn't your first language it's understandable, or if you're typing on a phone it can be hard to use proper punctuation, but outside of those two situations I honestly can't understand why people can't use proper grammar and spelling. If you provide me with a reason, other than the two I already stated,I'll gladly take them into consideration next time I see someone make such a mistake.

sid1123 Well of course I can ... English is not my first language and this is a site for not only ppl who can speak it ... Of course ppl try to correct their spellings nobody wants to b laughed at but sometimes it is not intentional and we never giv others a chance to apoligise (we meaning everyone) maybe even u will sumday have a prob lik that and it will hurt u ... (I hope not tho) but ppl can be careless and fanpop should be more lik twitter , to be for socializing and not humiliating others

sid1123 Athenabeth I gave u another one too that was and is that fanpop is a social site if it was not it would be called something like "cum correct spellings" but since it's not then chill and btw mostly even wid spellin mistakes the thing the person wants to say is totally understandable so no point in correcting them

Athenabeth I would like to point out I only tell people they've made a mistake If i can't understand them. I admit I'm rather unfair in this topic. I grew up with a collage English professor mom, So I do go overboard in the subject.

samuraibond005 My point of view is simple, use proper grammar, or you annoy people. And as far as second languages go, I have a friend from Mexico who types usually fine English. (at least now she does) and proper grammar can be learned.

English is not my first language either, but either way I [I]always[/I] try to spell things correctly, even in my phone (sometimes I just don't notice some spelling mistakes, but I can usually notice them). Also, I just don't tell people about that because I don't want them to think I'm being rude. Some people just have to know that when they spell things wrong, generally they're not very understandable. Okay, you made this article because you think some people can be very mean when it comes to this kind of thing, I understand. But just because it's your first language, doesn't mean you have to spell (for example) using numbers like: Some1 instead of someone. I don't want to sound rude, but I just don't get it, really. Besides, you [i]can[/i] learn proper English. I did, and no one taught me, I learned it by myself, it isn't so hard. But I understand why you feel the way you feel. There are some people who should try not to sound very harsh about it. Just try to spell things correctly and no one will have to correct you. If you can't, then ask someone to teach you. Again, it's not so hard, everyone can do it! :)

May be ur right i said it in mt article that nobody ever corected me meaning that this article is not abt me so dnt piont it at me this is just for everyone specially fOr people who luv the random spot and some1 is slang it is not spelling mistake for goodness sake ... Everyone who knows about internet must know that or they wont survive , the spellings are mostly ubderstandable but we just lik mocking people

I remember once I submitted something on some website and people instead of at least TRYING to understand what I meant, they were saying stuff about how poorly written that was, and that I get an award for the most poorly written post/comment or whatever. Seriously? What is going on with these people? [b]Answering people that way [u]won't solve anything[/u][/b]. Why can't these kind of people think things like [b]1.[/b] Maybe this person's first language is not [insert language here]. [b]2.[/b] Maybe this person is dyslexic. [b]3.[/b] Maybe this person has some kind of learning problems. [b]4.[/b] Maybe this person was never been taught anything about grammar or something. SERIOUSLY, being all rude and making sarcastic comments about how much these people are ''sooo retarded!!'' is NOT mature at all and isn't the solution, and using 'retarded' with that makes you look even more like a jerk. So yeah, people, do a little thinking first, try thinking at least one of those 4 things instead of think that person is stupid or something. Just do it, you might also be able to help lots of people to learn a new language and stuff, now THAT will help.
