Both are really annoying but this one annoys me more on a personal level. I miss the days on Fanpop where there were A LOT of active people and polls would have at least twenty votes within an hour. It annoys me when I've worked hard on something, particularly on articles I write or videos I've made, and it gets little to no attention. When I made my article reviewing of The Greatest Showman, only three people commented on it (One of which was a friend that I asked to read and comment on it) and they weren't very detailed. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate any comments I can get but I really love when I get more detailed comments because it makes me feel like my hard work is worth it because it made someone take the time just to tell me all of that. I worked SO HARD on that particular article that it took about a week or so to do, it was my longest article so far and I had to edit it down because Fanpop cut off parts of my review due to it being too long, and recently I even copy and paste and reposted my article on the Random and the Movies fan club (Having posted it on The Greatest Showman fan club originally) in the hopes of it getting more attention.

I'm sorry for the rant but it really freaking irks me when someone (Not just me) works so hard on something and it doesn't get the attention it should get so the person who worked so hard on it doesn't feel like it was all just for nothing or that they wasted their time. I do get annoyed when things that someone clearly didn't work very hard on gets more attention and praise when they don't deserve it. To quote The Incredibles "It's psychotic! They keep coming up with new ways to celebrate mediocrity but when someone is genuinely exceptional..." and to finished Bob's interrupted thought, they get pushed aside and don't get the attention or praise they rightfully deserve.

Omg there's this fic I poured my soul into and it only has like 2 reviews. I mean I'm still gonna finish it because I'm having fun with it, it just sucks because I thought the concept was very unique. Granted it's more of a gore fic in away and that usually doesn't attract a crowd. Not like shipping does. The other thing is kinda annoying but I can deal with it. I'm an attention whore so if I do something I like at least some praise.

I never get praise on my music. Except from the gang at Spinnin'.

Yep, everything I write or create xD ESPECIALLY while roleplaying with others and you put so much detail and effort in a character, only for it to be ignored and towered over another one.

This makes me feel like banging my head on a wall somewhere.

Don't need validation from other people when I work hard on something. Sometimes other people might just not see the value in it and that's really okay. As long as I'm proud of myself I feel fulfilled.

But seeing lazy hacks get praised for something that took no effort or isn't good is a little annoying. Insert my comment about the film industry from the other poll here too.
