After the last question about Logan Paul, I figured I really wanted to know what people think.

To whomever who doesn't know Loagn: Logan Paul is a famous youtuber who took a trip to Japan and visited 'The forest of death' (A forest where people go to commit suicide in). He saw a dead body and started filming it and laughing about it. It caused a huge scandal at that time.

I don't watch his videos. I never will. I think the guy is an arrogant jerk. And considering the things I've heard people say about what this guy has said or done, I just don't think his apology was sincere. It was probably because of all the bad publicity he had gotten after what he had done. I still can't see why he has so many subscribers. Who would even want to be interested in watching this twit. I just don't understand it and I really don't even want to.

Why does a place called "forest of death" exist anyway??? One can commit suicide anywhere in the world. Which is a very poor choice to do. And it is no laughing matter! I've never heard of this Logan guy or watched any of his videos but sounds to me he's a complete a**hole.

Did he really apologized though???

It exists because people choose to make it a forest for suicide.

Experts have long considered why some choose to come to the forest to die. Three decades ago, a Japanese psychiatrist who interviewed a handful of Aokigahara suicide survivors wrote that a key reason was that "they believed that they would be able to die successfully without being noticed." "Some may have traveled to the forest from other provinces because they wanted to "share the same place with others and belong to the same group," he wrote.
Nakamura pointed to research by Emory University anthropologist Chikako Ozawa-de Silva on the trend of online suicide forums in Japan. According to Ozawa-de Silva, the internet provides an outlet for those seeking social connection, and who fear isolation, "to die with others."
Nakamura sees a potential parallel to the thought process surrounding the forest: "Many people have committed suicide at Aokigahara; thus you won't die alone."

Basically the forest is a hot spot for suicides because it is harder to find a person in the act and because there's an almost spiritual belief that they are not alone in death. It's very dark and very disheartening.

^ That's what I think too. I'm still not sure though, after seeing what everybody else is saying.
