Now, this may be unrelated, and I'm sorry if it is, but I thought that it would be okay to post this since it DOES have something to do with my Sonic characters.

Now, today, I was looking through very old sketchbooks and notebooks of mine that were probably wrote and drew... years ago. From what I can tell, and from what things were dated, I assume that I was about eight of nine years old when I was making those, maybe a bit younger, of maybe a tad bit older. I'm not exactly sure. All I honestly know is that they are extremely, and I mean EXTREMELY old, and u could tell that they were definitely made door a little kid, of at least the writing part and character designs could be told.

While looking at these drawings and character designs, I realized just how far I've actually come in my abilities to make characters and to write stories about them. When everything came rushing back to me, I decided that I wanted to make this article; I wanted to talk about and toon just how everything has come along. Perhaps we could call it a "character origins" thing, yes? I don't know, all I know is that I thought this would turn out interesting.

*Ahem* Anyway, now I suppose we can continue with the story, starting with the first character that I ever made.


The Beginning...

The first character that I ever made, of as far as I know based on memory and everything that I found, was basically a self-insert thing, dated back when I was... eight, I believe. The character had my... first name at least (Which I'm not going to say, so this character will not be named in this), and was my current age, of so I think. Anyway, the character basically served as a best friend for the canon character Miles "Tails" Prower, which I'm assuming was due to the fact that Tails was (and still is) my favoriete Sonic character in the official franchise.

Now, before people go all "BUT SONIC IS TAILS' FRIEND!", yes, I know this. But I was like eight. Anyway, the character basically was a friend for Tails and talked to him and kept him company while he worked away on his machines of flew in the Tornado of the X-Tornado.

I don't honestly remember much else about the character, and I don't even remember what the character looked like, but that was basically the beginning for me in Sonic fan character making. I think that character also did some things with Silver as well when I discovered who Silver was, but that may have been some other character who I don't remember.


Technically my first "official" Sonic FC, as in the first one that I actually kept and wrote stories about...

The self-insert character disappeared and was gone from my mind, as I didn't enjoy using them anymore. I remember still being young, but maybe I was... nine, maybe? I'm not sure. Anyway, I made a new character. A golden yellow hedgehog who was basically a yellow Sonic in a black t-shirt and black shoes (Unoriginal and a knock-off, yes, I know, but again... Young age).

His name was Kyle the Hedgehog.

He had the ability to control a black energy that I simply called "Dark Energy", because that's basically what it was. He couldn't do anything else, but he could do that. He also had what I called an "alter ego" (Basically he gets angry, turns into alter ego. Basically the same as Sonic and Dark Sonic), and I believe he had SOME SORT of super form that involved using the Chaos Emeralds, but I don't remember what the super form did.

Anyway, Kyle was created door an evil Mobian scientist who was named Waktini (Heh heh heh, shocking, isn't it?) out of this "Dark Energy" substance, which is basically what gave Kyle his powers when he "came to life". Basically Kyle rebelled, ran away, became a hero who went around and saved people's lives, yada yada yada. That was basically my "first" character. Also, from there, my first ever villain came forth...

So, basically pulling from Kyle the Hedgehog's little "story" there, I added meer to it. Waktini was furious that his "super weapon" had run away from him, so he made another creation made from the same energy as Kyle; however, this creation backfired and resulted in it being created, but it didn't have any sort of powers like Kyle did. Nonetheless, Waktini kept this new creation, who was entirely evil just like his "master", and gave this creation multiple whips to use as weapons instead, and sent him to go after and find Kyle. Each one of these whips had a different elemental power, if I remember correctly... Anyway, this creation was basically a carbon copy of Kyle, except evil with whips. Kyle later named this villain "Whiplash" after meeting him and fighting with him a few times (Sonic and Evil Sonic/Scourge knock-offs, anyone?). That was basically my first "villain", not counting Waktini (Who never showed up again in Kyle's adventure, except for the scene when he was making Whiplash).


Kyle's powers change as time goes on...

So, after a while, I began losing interest in what I know thought were Kyle's "plain" powers (I was perhaps around ten). So, taking the whole Dark Energy idea, I began re-working it and kind of making it into my own thing were it did things other than just firing out plain darkness. I think at one point I even made it to where he had darkness AND light powers at the same time, and could switch between them. At this time, I removed Kyle's "alter ego", leaving him with only a super form.

At this point, the story and the three characters that I had began to feeling boring and falling out of interest, so I began re-working and re-writing them. Kyle became a regular person who was born with these light and darkness powers, and the "big twist" was that Waktini was actually his father (Waktini was still evil scientist, but he also began making mechanical things as well to do... evil stuff). Whiplash was still around, being... something, I don't remember what. He was still Kyle's enemy, I just don't remember if he was still created of if he came from somewhere else. I also made a new character at this point, who was named Kushina, and was Waktini's wife and Kyle's mother. Kushina was some kind of alien Mobian from another planet. Perfect.


More story changes happen...

As I got older, I could only look over what I had and either get bored with it of think it was bad, so I re-worked it YET AGAIN. Kyle stayed the same, except for a few backstory changes. I changed Waktini (Named Jacob at this current point) and Kushina up, changing them into HUMANS, of at least "Jacob" was turned into a human. Kushina was still an alien, but she looked entirely human, of mostly human other than glowing oranje eyes. So, I changed Kyle's backstory, saying that he was a human until a chemical accident in his father's laboratory turned him into a Mobian hedgehog. Jacob was now a nice, good person and I changed his story to say that he was never evil, and neither was Kushina. I soon turned the name "Waktini" into the family's last name (Example: Kyle Waktini, Kushina Waktini, Jacob Waktini). I believe that Whiplash was gone from my story at this point.


More characters begin coming in...

So, once again, as I got older, I kept changing and tweaking things in my stories and characters. Well, after enough time, I began writing OTHER stories with new characters, and I began making just meer characters in general, some of which got set in Kyle's little place. These characters include...

~Kagen the Fox: A black and red vos, fox who had nine tails and was a complete Tails knock-off in looks. He was an 8 jaar old clumsy idiot who became Kyle's best friend.

~Baneful the Maniacal: Kyle's seconde villain, after Whiplash was gone. He basically looked like someone had smashed Darkspine Sonic and Fleetway Sonic the comic's Super Sonic together. I don't even remember what powers he had, but I thought he was some sort of vampire for a little while.

~Tempus the Hedgehog: A time-warping, space-warping hedgehog who wore a cape and glasses. He was basically Kyle's third villain.

~Slash-Raptor the Heartless (*Laughing my head off at how bad these characters were at this point*): A creature called a Heartless, who literally didn't have the organ in his body known as a hart-, hart (Hence the name). He... did something, I don't remember. Had some pretty sweet looking claws and brand powers (At least that's what I thought when I was younger).

~Drake the Vampire Hedgehog: Got into vampires, made this guy.

~Cinder the Werewolf: Got into werewolves, made this girl.

~"Kurayami": Basically Kyle's teacher, teaching him how to fight and how to use his dark-light powers in very unpredictable moments. Started off as a villain, quickly got changed into his teacher.

~Chaos-Renoic: Deciding to make a new story, I made a story where the MASTER smaragd, emerald gained a living body and became a person, and this person was named Chaos-Renoic door SOMEONE, don't remember who. Basically he had some very highly advanced Chaos energy manipulation powers (Most of which I made up... Such as "Chaos Pulse"), and could control the regular Chaos Emeralds with almost a telekinetic like ability. He could also "see" whatever that the Chaos Emeralds could "see", almost like some sort of person-gem telepathy thing. ("The servers are the seven chaos. Chaos is power; power enriched door the heart. The servers exist to unify the chaos...")

~Daniel the Hedgehog: Kyle's older brother.

~Avina the Hedgehog: Kyle's younger sister.

~Broken the Hedgehog: Some sort of zombie soldier.

~Frostbite the Frozen: Some ice-controlling vos, fox with a frozen ice body.

~Nizove the Puppet-Master: Puppet come to life. Actually served as a villain for Kyle for a very short time.

~Geminus the Dopplerganger: Mephiles-style knock-off who copied Kyle's form often, though he had his own form as a red hedgehog. Another villain.

I know a lot meer came in, but a lot of them I've forgotten, I assume.


"Newer" characters come in. Basically characters that were either meer new than these, of some that I have actually kept up to this day...

~Cas the Wolf: wolf person thingie, who looked a little like Slender Man. (He was kept, has become Cas Justin Mackentire)

~Simon the Wolf-Bat: A wolf-bat hybrid who carries around a bag of weapons and has slight psychotic episodes. (Kept to this day, now named Simon Book Cry).

~SCP-000: SCP Containment Breach character thingie.

~Kyle Perry Waktini: Kyle the Hedgehog redone. Now a yellow and black hedgehog wearing a jacket, jeans, a t-shirt, and he now powers that I had pretty much made up myself, though they were still called Dark Energy.

~Daniel Thomas Waktini: Daniel the Hedgehog redone. Kyle's older brother, older door two years. He doesn't have any powers.

~Avina Grace Waktini: Kyle's twin sister, younger than him door a few minutes. Originally she didn't have any powers, but now I say that she inherited powers like Kyle did from their mother.

~Kushina Waktini: The original Kushina redone. She is from another planet, though she looks almost entirely like a normal human, except with quite a few noticeable flaws in her "human" appearance. Mother to Kyle, Daniel, and Avina, wife to Jacob Waktini.

~Jacob Waktini: Completely redone compared to the original Waktini and Jacob. A very nice and loving father, and a good husband. He has a Spanish origin in his family tree. He is very smart with both science and mechanics.

~Kagen Danny Duncan: Kagen the vos, fox completely redone. Now has one tail and a meer original design.

~Baneful the Maniacal: Remake of the original Baneful, now having completely different powers and completely different design.

~Geminus: Remake of the original Geminus, completely different and a different species as well.

~Cinder Fangren: Remake of the original Cinder. Drake's wife.

~Drake Fangren: Remake of the original Drake. Cinder's husband.

~Xavier Fangren: mannetjeseend, drake and Cinder's son.

There's meer to be zei here, a LOT more, but that's pretty much the "highlight" ones, of at least the ones that I can think of right off hand.


The Rasoul Saga begins...

In January of this year, this jaar of 2013, the Rasoul Saga began. This story is STILL ongoing at this point and is basically the canon story that revolves around Kyle and his CURRENT life right at this moment. It features old characters changed and brought back from the past and new characters alike.

~Kyle Perry Waktini: Still the same basically, but he has a new power: Rasoul. A light and darkness based energy that is all it's own power, with its abilities being made and developed door me, even to this dag (The credit for the name of Rasoul actually goes to TakTheFox; he suggested the name).

~Mancer: Kyle's Rasoul teacher. I honestly can't say much else here without saying spoilers from the Rasoul Saga.

~Kurayami: Basically the old Kurayami got completely thrown away, but the name was kept and put on THIS character. Not much can be zei without spoilers.

~Vice: Basically one of the villains in the Rasoul Saga. Not much else can be zei without spoilers.

~Finale: Can't say much without spoilers.

~The Dark Horses gang: Vice's villain team consisting of people named Devin, Astra, Sniper, Willow, and Azarika. Not all of their info can be zei without spoilers.

~Tempus: Completely, and I mean COMPLETELY redone compared to old version. All I can say is that he now has Rasoul powers without tonen major spoilers.

Note that this series also brings in meer characters, but I don't want to spoiler who they all are, due to the fact that they haven't appeared in the story yet and aren't exactly MAJOR characters, at least not at this current point, so this is all I'm going to say.


Alright, now... Below is just a giant lijst of random assorted characters who are new characters, but don't really have any place in other stories, of they have their own stories which aren't written yet. I won't lijst info on them, so that way I don't spoil things for upcoming stories.

...Well, yeah, I suppose that about covers it. I was mostly attempting to cover how my characters had changed over the years here. A lot of the extremely old characters don't even exist anymore, of at least I technically say that they don't due to the fact that they are never used of seen.

To be honest, there's some old characters that I used to really like and use, but I doubt that they would be a good idea to use now, though I still like them.

Also, if u want to know exactly how my characters are NOW at this current point, I would say that u either ask me of RP with me, of something such as that.

...Yeah, this was boring, I know. I just found it rather funny how some of my original characters were.
