I just binge watched the whole thing. And I loved everything about this season. I'm a bit disappointed they didn't use Jonathan a lot this season.

My favorite storyline was Steve, Dustin, Robin and Erica against the Evil Russians.

The only thing I hated was The Thing as the end.

Just woke up after bingeing it until 3am, which was my first mistake because I AM TOO OLD FOR THIS SHIT.

At first I thought the season was a little too goofy, but then it got so dark I was praying for the goofy to come back!!!

I'm kinda the opposite to you Bibi: while I loved the Dustin/Erica/Steve/Robin grouping, the Evil Russian storyline didn't really feel very Stranger Things-y to me. I didn't hate it, it just seemed very similar to last season's storyline, but this time with Russians.

I found the Billy storyline fucking sinister, man. That scene where Eleven finds him the first time and he sees her was fucking amazing/terrifying. And then the scene where he grabs her... fuuuuck... watching that alone in the dead of night was not a smart idea... O.O

I cried through the end of the last episode. Devastating. I am a husk of a human being.

EDIT: Woops, also wanted to say that I liked that they de-powered Eleven (even if I am fuzzy on exactly how that happened). Having everyone step up when she was unable to was very cool.

Also, the sauna battle was brilliant and traumatising.

I loved it, favorite season so far. I'm usually multi-tasking a few episodes in but NOPE NOT SEASON 3, I sat on the couch for 8 hours and accomplished nothing, thank you Netflix. XD

Max teaching Eleven how to be a teenage girl is everything I've ever wanted. They don't need you, you stupid boys! Also, Will has become my favorite boy because he was the least annoying this season. Sorry all your friends turned into hormone monsters, boo.

I think Eleven lost her mojo when that thing left her body?

The finale was devastating, because Eleven and I have developed a you-cry-I-cry relationship, but there is a post-credits scene that gives me hope and could possibly fix a Thing.

Honestly it really did, first of all I didn't feel like that much happened, I felt like a lot of things weren't explored enough, when I was at episode 7 and I felt like not much had happened and I knew how little time there was left I got kinda nervous, much like the last Season of Game of Thrones this felt rushed and unfinished to me, I also waited like 3 years to not get many satisfying moments, a little too much of characters acting childish and creating unnecessary drama, and I probably think that one of the reasons that I don't feel like much is explored enough and not enough happens is because they start too many different story-lines so we don't really get enough of any of them.

I also hate the way they end this... There is no Stranger Things to me without The Byers and Eleven, there really isn't.

But not to sound all too negative there were definitely things I loved though

My only gripes are that Will was underused (seriously, how many times did he touch his neck and say "he's here"?) and that I was baited with Robin/Steve as a ship lmao. Other than that, I really enjoyed this season. The last episode had me sobbing like a baby.

I loved it so far but the song sequence with Dustin and his girlfriend was out of place in my opinion

Okay so, I didn't exactly hate it but I have a lot of problems with it.

There were first of all a lot of characters that were completely underused to the point where they were almost irrelevant, Will and especially Jonathan are the two I have a problem with. Jonathan was basically a side character in the background to Nancy's storyline, he had no story of his own, no progressing really, and he also didn't interact not even ONCE with either Will nor Joyce, that was unbelievable to me, I understand that they have limited time and they have many characters, but not even a single short conversation with his brother or mother?

They also said that Will would have a break this Season, that's not at all what I saw, he was ignored by all his friends and wasn't happy at any point really. I also have to agree with @sara that his entire role this Season was touching his neck and saying "He's here" which was SO disappointing as they could have done so much with this, the fact that he still had a connection with the Mind Player could have been so interesting but instead it was just touching his own neck over and over. He's emotional storyline was actually great, but it only lasted for like 1-2 episodes. They could have had his connection with the Mind Flayer give him some kind of demon powers or something cool like that.... Would have been a million times more interesting. Since Will is one of my faves I am really disappointed with how they used him.

And what's with how most of the characters were acting like childish brats a lot of the time? Mike, Lucas, Eleven, Max, Hopper and Joyce were all acting childish with their relationship problems, I can't believe how they were ten times more mature about that last Season.

Also a big complaint I have is: They have chosen to repeat so many things, instead of thinking of something new they have Joyce and Hopper go seek the drunk bearded guy who hates children (lol don't remember his name) who gives them the same "just admit you love each other and fuck already" advice exactly like Jonathan and Nancy last Season? That's seriously not cool, could they really not think of anything new at all?

They also couldn't think of ANY new monster so they showed us at the very end that next season would be about the demedogs, same as Season 2.... how exiting..... If I'm not mistaking there are supposed to be TONS of monsters in D&D, but they couldn't think of any other ones?

Also where are the satisfying moments? There were way too few of them, while most of it was about characters bitching and complaining or suffering.

Lastly I'm really concerned about the Byers moving... If they are not part of the show anymore, then I'm no longer interested at all.

Overall I guess it was okay, it was enjoyable at times, but not nearly enough, and there are too many repeats. And they chose to give a lot of attention to a new character and a minor character (Erica and Robin) to the point where those characters were way more of a main character than Will, Jonathan and Nancy who were all originals, it's disappointing to me for sure.
